BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

This invention relates generally to the field of apparatus for a Floor Vent Device. Moreover it pertains specifically to a Frameless Flush Mount Floor Vent of various materials including vinyl, wood, wood composite, laminate.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

This invention consists of a metal plate to be permanently mounted to the underside of the removeable flush mount vent with matching vent slots for such support as to allow for walking traffic while remaining flush with existing flooring material providing a matching vent that is easily removeable for duct access.

Previous vent apparatus do not provide proper support or protection of flooring material from warping, curling or otherwise distorting.

In the past, many vents could not be manufactured from a variety of matching flooring materials that could withstand foot traffic while being easy to remove and having the ability to open or close air flow with a removeable and reusable magnet.

The frameless device allows installation advantages. Precision tight cuts in surrounding flooring and additional labor required for installing frame are eliminated and less flooring material is required in manufacturing vents without frame. The frameless vent provides an inconspicuous device.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The following drawings further describe by illustration the advantages and objects of the present invention. Each drawing is referenced by a corresponding figure reference characters with the “DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION” section to follow.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a Frameless Flush Mount Floor Vent according to the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a Supporting Metal Plate of the Frameless Flush Mount Floor Vent according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring now descriptively to the drawings, the attached figures illustrate a Frameless Flush Mount Floor Vent.

FIG. 1 illustrates a Frameless Flush Mount Floor Vent according to the present invention.

FIG. 2 illustrates a supporting metal plate to be permanently mounted to the underside of FIG. 1.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A Frameless Flush Mount Floor Vent device in which the bottom portion of the flooring material used is removed equal to the thickness of a metal support plate of the same size and shape which is then permanently attached to the underside of flooring material used and sized to protrude onto subflooring surrounding duct opening allowing the vent to be the same vertical height and material as the surrounding flooring material providing strength and durability to removeable vent.
