This application claims priority to Italian Patent Application No. 102024000020389 filed on September 13, 2024, the contents of which are incorporated by reference in their entirety.
The present invention relates to a semi-automatic rifle.
In particular, by “semi-automatic rifle” is meant a semi-automatic rifle for sporting use, for example for hunting.
In known embodiments, semi-automatic rifles comprise a main body, also known as receiver, in which specific components are housed or on which they are engaged, such as those of the firing mechanism or the trigger assembly.
In particular, the main body is also structured to allow the “semi-automaticity” of the firing mechanism.
The main body is also suitable for supporting the barrel group.
In known solutions of semi-automatic rifles, with particular reference to the respective barrel groups and to the main bodies which support the barrel groups, a number of issues are known related to the use of weapon accessories, such as sighting systems.
In fact, embodiments of semi-automatic rifles are known in which sighting systems are mounted on the main body in a plurality of positions, for example proximal to the user or distal from the user, for example in a region adjacent to one end of the barrel. Therefore, the main body needs to be designed and manufactured accordingly, providing specific zones in which the weapon accessories are mountable.
An object of the present invention is to provide a semi-automatic rifle in which said issue is solved, namely a semi-automatic rifle wherein the main body is not affected by the presence of accessory systems, in particular in the region proximal to the barrel end.
Said object is achieved by the semi-automatic rifle described and claimed herein.
