Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Fields of the Invention

The present invention relates to venetian blind installation, and more particularly, to an adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket.

2. Descriptions of Related Art

Due to economic prosperity, people's living standards have gradually improved, and they are more willing to spend money pursuing a better quality of life. This is especially true in terms of housing, where people want to have their preferred design style. While venetian blinds are a common choice among most users in home decoration, there are still some concerning deficiencies with venetian blinds. For example, dust easily accumulates on each slat of the venetian blinds, requiring time-consuming and inconvenient cleaning as each slat needs to be wiped individually.

Moreover, large venetian blinds are typically made of lighter materials, resulting in poor insulation against external noise. They cannot provide the same level of sound insulation as fabric curtains.

Furthermore, even when venetian blinds are completely closed, gaps still exist between the slats, making it impossible to achieve complete light blocking. This might not be ideal for users who require a completely dark environment. The thermal insulation performance is also relatively poor, especially with aluminum or plastic slats, which may not effectively block high temperatures in summer and are even less beneficial for keeping warm in winter.

Moreover, the slats of venetian blinds are relatively thin, especially those made of plastic or aluminum materials. Through long-term use or improper operation, they can easily bend, deform, or even break. Additionally, some venetian blinds require manual adjustment of slat angles or cord pulling, which may not be as convenient to operate as regular horizontal curtains, especially for large windows. When windows are open and there's strong wind, the slats of venetian blinds can easily sway and generate noise, which might cause discomfort to users in windy conditions.

Moreover, if one wishes to change the current situation, the entire set of venetian blinds would need to be removed, replaced, or modified. Such actions typically damage the overall wall surface and structural integrity, which is particularly inconvenient and troublesome for tenants.

Furthermore, while venetian blinds have a more modern or minimalist style and can fulfill basic privacy and light-blocking functions, they may still be insufficient for residents seeking traditional, luxurious, or cozy interior decoration styles.

The present invention intends to provide an adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket to eliminate the shortcomings mentioned above.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket and comprises a hanging component with a holding groove that bends and extends outward at one end, and an insert piece that extends downward at the other end. The holding groove is fitted with a first pressure-fitting component, and the insert piece has a first through-hole. A suspension element has a horizontal supporting plate, where the surface of the horizontal supporting plate has a displacement hole for inserting the insert piece of the hanging component. Both ends of the horizontal supporting plate extend downward to form a first blocking piece and a second blocking piece. The first blocking piece is fitted with a second pressure-fitting component.

When the insert piece of the hanging component is inserted into the displacement hole of the suspension component, the second pressure-fitting component of the first blocking piece passes through the first through-hole of the insert piece. An adjustable space is formed between the insert piece and the second blocking piece. The spacing of this adjustable space can be modified through the left and right displacement of the insert piece of the hanging component relative to the displacement hole of the suspension component.

The holding groove accommodates a curtain rod, and when the first pressure-fitting component is tightened, it securely holds the curtain rod in place within the U-shaped holding groove.

Through the adjustable space, the adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket can be fixed to the venetian blind track box, and the spacing can be adjusted according to different sizes of venetian blind track boxes.

The adjustable space is configured to be detachably fixed to the venetian blind track box, requiring no drilling or hole-making operations on the venetian blind track box.

Between the holding groove at one end of the hanging component and the insert piece at the other end, there is a horizontal supporting plate that rests against a portion of the surface of the horizontal supporting plate of the suspension element.

The primary object of the present invention is to provide an adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket which allows the addition of a pull curtain layer to existing venetian blind systems, providing a double-layered shielding effect. This enables users to more flexibly adjust indoor lighting and privacy needs. It doesn't require additional drilling or installation of new curtain rods, and no professional installation skills are needed as it can be directly secured to existing venetian blind rods. This avoids unnecessary wall construction and maintains clean wall surfaces.

Installation can be completed without additional tools, making it suitable for DIY enthusiasts, tenants, or those who don't want to leave marks on their walls. Installation simply requires fixing the bracket to the existing venetian blind frame, making the process quick and straightforward. Users can match various curtain fabric materials according to their preferences and change them based on seasons or interior design styles, increasing the flexibility of interior decoration.

Furthermore, it compensates for situations where venetian blinds alone cannot completely block strong light or provide sufficient privacy. When the bracket is fitted with a pull curtain, it effectively supplements these deficiencies, thereby achieving better light-blocking and heat-insulation effects.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

As shown in FIGS. 1 through 12, the present invention is an adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket that can be used with venetian blinds or pleated blinds, and comprises a hanging component (1), having a horizontal supporting plate (10), where one end of the horizontal supporting plate (10) bends outward and extends into a U-shaped holding groove (11), and the other end extends downward to form an insert piece (12). The holding groove (11) is fitted with a first pressure-fitting component (13), and the insert piece (12) has a first through-hole (120). In this embodiment, the hanging component (1) is made of metal.

A suspension element (2) has a horizontal supporting plate (20) that provides partial surface area support for the horizontal supporting plate (10) of the hanging component (1). The surface of the horizontal supporting plate (20) has a displacement hole (21) for inserting the insert piece (12) of the hanging component (1), allowing the insert piece (12) of the hanging component (1) to move left and right relative to the displacement hole (21) of the suspension component (2). Both ends of the horizontal supporting plate (20) extend downward to form a first blocking piece (22) and a second blocking piece (23). The first blocking piece (22) is fitted with a second pressure-fitting component (220). In this embodiment, the suspension component (2) is made of metal. The second pressure-fitting component (220) is located on the first blocking piece (22).

For assembly, when the insert piece (12) of the hanging component (1) is inserted into the displacement hole (21) of the suspension component (2). An adjustable space (3) is formed between the insert piece (12) and the second blocking piece (23). Using this adjustable space (3), the adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket can be fixed to the venetian blind track box (4). Then, move the insert piece (12) of the hanging component (1) toward the venetian blind track box (4) until the insert piece (12) contacts the venetian blind track box (4). After that, tighten the second pressure-fitting component (220) to create a pressure-fitted state between the insert piece (12) and the venetian blind track box (4), completing the assembly of the adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket with the venetian blind track box (4).

The small protrusion at it front end of the second pressure-fitting component (220) is threadless, and its diameter is smaller than the diameter of the first through-hole (120). The threaded portion of the second pressure-fitting component (220) has a diameter larger than that of the first through-hole (120). Therefore, when the small protrusion of the second pressure-fitting component (220) passes through the first through-hole (120), the threaded portion cannot pass through because its diameter is larger than the diameter of the first through-hole (120), and it will just stop at the hole of the first through-hole (120) without passing through. Therefore, since the small protrusion of the front end of the second pressure-fitting component (220) is stopped at the first through-hole (120), it will not come loose whether turned clockwise or counterclockwise.

When tightening the second pressure-fitting component (220), the small protrusion at its front end does not penetrate through the insert piece (12), so this small protrusion will not scratch the paint surface of the venetian blind track box (4). Additionally, the second pressure-fitting component (220) prevents displacement of the insert piece (12), enhancing the overall structural stability.

When in use, after the adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket is fixed to the venetian blind track box (4) using the adjustable space (3), the curtain rod (5) can be placed into the holding groove (11) of the hanging component (1). Then, tighten the first pressure-fitting component (13) to secure it against the curtain rod (5). Finally, hang the pull curtain (6) (not shown in figures) on the curtain rod (5), allowing the pull curtain (6) to drape in front of the venetian blind as needed, using the pull curtain (6) to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the venetian blind.

Furthermore, when dealing with venetian blind track boxes (4) of different sizes, the dimensions of the adjustable space (3) can be modified by pushing or pulling the hanging component (1), allowing it to move left or right relative to the suspension element (2), until the adjustable space (3) matches the dimensions of the venetian blind track box (4). In this way, the adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket does not need to have its entire set of components replaced when encountering venetian blind track boxes (4) of different sizes, resulting in cost savings.

In other words, this adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket configures the adjustable space (3) to be detachably fixed to the venetian blind track box (4), meaning that the adjustable venetian blind mounting bracket does not require any drilling or hole-making operations on the venetian blind track box (4). This ensures that there is no damage to household walls, maintaining aesthetic appeal while providing users with an easy way to hang the pull curtain (6).

While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
