Described herein are printable structures and methods for making, assembling and arranging electronic devices. A number of the methods described herein are useful for assembling electronic devices where one or more device components are embedded in a polymer which is patterned during the embedding process with trenches for electrical interconnects between device components. Some methods described herein are useful for assembling electronic devices by printing methods, such as by dry transfer contact printing methods. Also described herein are GaN light emitting diodes and methods for making and arranging GaN light emitting diodes, for example for display or lighting systems.

Disposable components for reusable physiological sensor
A sensor cartridge according to embodiments of the disclosure is capable of being used with a non-invasive physiological sensor. Certain embodiments of the sensor cartridge protect the sensor from damage, such as damage due to repeated use, reduce the need for sensor sanitization, or both. Further, embodiments of the sensor cartridge are positionable on the user before insertion in the sensor and allow for improved alignment of the treatment site with the sensor. In addition, the sensor cartridge of certain embodiments of the disclosure can be configured to allow a single sensor to comfortably accommodate treatment sites of various sizes such as for both adult and pediatric applications.

Electrically heated smoking system
An electrically heated smoking system includes a secondary unit capable of receiving a smoking article having an aerosol-forming substrate. The secondary unit includes at least one heating element and an interface for connection to a primary power supply for supplying electrical power to the at least one heating element during a pre-heating mode, to increase the temperature of the aerosol-forming substrate to an operating temperature. The secondary unit further includes a secondary power supply arranged to supply electrical power to the at least one heating element during a smoking mode, to maintain the temperature of the aerosol-forming substrate at substantially the operating temperature. The secondary unit also includes secondary circuitry. The electrically heated smoking system optionally includes a primary unit.

Methods for forming silicon germanium layers
Embodiments of methods for depositing silicon germanium (SiGe) layers on a substrate are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the method may include depositing a first layer comprising silicon and germanium (e.g., a seed layer) atop the substrate using a first precursor comprising silicon and chlorine; and depositing a second layer comprising silicon and germanium (e.g., a bulk layer) atop the silicon germanium seed layer using a second precursor comprising silicon and hydrogen. In some embodiments, the first silicon precursor gas may comprise at least one of dichlorosilane (H2SiCl2), trichlorosilane (HSiCl3), or silicon tetrachloride (SiCl4). In some embodiments, the second silicon precursor gas may comprise at least one of silane (SiH4), or disilane (Si2H6).
