If the short chain is equipped with different sized o rings and findings on each end, then the necklace or bracelet now fits and becomes a useful piece of jewelry.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

This invention consists of a system of commonly used objects which are organized in a less than usual fashion to achieve an other than usual result.

Necklaces vary in their length and their ability to pass over the wearer's head. When the necklaces are too small to pass over their head, some women have a hard time fastening the necklaces in the back of their neck and they choose not to wear them. When there are only a few links, the invention enables a woman to extend a bracelet she could ordinarily not fasten. The invention allows a woman to wear a bracelet or necklace she otherwise would not wear.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The system of chains and different-sized findings creates extentions of the jewelry and enables it's owner to wear a piece of jewelry that she would ordinarily not wear.

The small lobster clasp of the left half of the extender hooks into the small O ring of the bracelet or necklace. The large lobster clasp at the right end of the left extender hooks into the large O ring on the left side of the right half the extender. The small spring ring on the bracelet or necklace hooks into the small O ring on the right side of the right half of the extender.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

This invention allows any necklace or bracelet to be converted to one that can be closed more easily because the findings are enlarged. It also allows the jewelry to fit around the neck or wrist.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The system consists of two chains with a a varied number of links manufactured with different sized findings on each end of each chain.

The invention consists of two chains which hook into each other and in turn each end hooks into the piece of jewelry. The jewelry ordinarily cannot be worn because it is difficult for the person who desires to wear it to close it's clasps.

Each extender chain has different sized findings on each end. On the left end of the left half of the extender chain is attached a small finding or clasp. The clasp fits into the small O ring at the end of the bracelet or necklace which the person desires to wear. On the right end of the left half of the extender chain is attached a very large finding. Attached to the left end of the right half of the extender chain is a large O ring. The two halves of the extender are connected when the large clasp is inserted into the large O ring. The right end of the right half of the extender has a small finding that fits into the small O ring of the necklace or bracelet. When the extender is connected to the jewelry, the person can wear the jewelry.

Claims

1. What I claim as my invention is a system which uses a chain consisting of two halves. Each half is made up of graduated links. Each half has both a large finding on one end and a small finding on the other end. These findings fit into each other, and the findings of a bracelet or necklace, so that the wearer can close and wear a piece of jewelry which does not fit over his head or his wrist.

1. Bracelets vary in the designs which allow the wearer to place them on their wrist. A clasp closure can prove challenging to the wearer if it is close to or exactly the size of the wearer's wrist. The bracelet extender is designed to make closing the piece of jewelry easier.

I claim as the bracelet extender, the use of a chain about 1″ in length consisting of two halves made up of graduating links. The bracelet extender may be longer or shorter, than 1″ and packages can be marked so that a consumer can choose the desired size.

On the left end of the left half of the bracelet extender is a small finding (ie. small lobster or spring ring) which fits into the small O ring of the bracelet. The left half of the bracelet extender consists of two or more gradually larger links and it ends with a large finding (ie. lobster or spring ring). The right half of the bracelet extender has a large O ring into which its other half hooks. The right half of the bracelet extender has two or more links in the chain that gradually are smaller. The right half of the bracelet extender has at its end a small O ring into which the final at the end of the bracelet fits.

The halves of the bracelet extender are connected to each other and the bracelet by these different sized finals which make the bracelet easier to close and to wear.

2. Some necklace wearers have difficulty closing a necklace behind their neck when the necklace is too small to go over their head. Some persons say “If it doesn't go over my head, I don't wear it”. This eliminates beautiful neck pieces that are too short to pass over the wearer's head. I claim as the necklace extender, the use of a chain more than 1″ in length consisting of two halves made of graduating links. The necklace extender may be longer or shorter, and packages can be marked so that a consumer can choose the desired size.

On the left end of the left half of the necklace extender is a small finding (ie. small lobster ring or spring ring) which fits into the small O ring of the necklace. The left half of the necklace extender consists of two or more gradually larger links in the chain and it ends with a large finding (ie. lobster or spring ring). The right half of the necklace extender has at its left end, a large O ring into which its other half hooks. The right half of the necklace extender has several links that are gradually smaller. The right half of the necklace extender has at its right end a small O ring into which the final of the necklace hooks. The necklace extender is connected to each other, and by different sized finals to the necklace. The necklace extender makes the necklace easier to close and to wear.
