Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to paper boxes and more particularly to a paper box from a piece of cardboard with enhanced elements by folding so that the formed paper box has added structural strength so as to be durable.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A conventional paper box 10 formed by folding a piece of cardboard is shown in FIGS. 1 to 4. As shown in an extended plan view of the piece of cardboard, it comprises a rectangular center 20, four four-sided walls 30 extending from four sides of the center 20, two folds 40 each extending from one side of two opposite side walls 30, and two rectangular enhancement elements 50 each formed between the front wall 30 and either side wall 30 and coupled thereto. The enhancement elements 50 are formed inside both ends of the front wall 30 after forming the paper box 10 by folding (see FIGS. 2 and 3). However, the prior paper box 10 is not structurally strong. For example, as shown in FIG. 4, numbers of CDs are stored in the paper box 10 and a pulling at one side wall 30 adjacent the enhancement element 50 for drawing out the paper box 10 from a chest 60 may disengage the enhancement element 50 from the paper box 10 or even tear the corner as shown in an enlarged circle. Thus, the need for improvement still exists.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a structurally strong paper box from a foldable cardboard including a rectangular center, a four-sided front wall extending from a front side of the center and bordered therewith, a four-sided rear wall extended from a rear side of the center and bordered therewith, and two side walls each extending from both sides of the center and bordered therewith. The front wall includes a four-sided forward extension bordered the front wall and two four-sided first enhancement elements extending from either side of the forward extension. Each side wall includes a side extension bordered the side wall. Two four-sided folded members are formed respectively between the rear wall and either side wall and coupled thereto. And two second enhancement elements are formed respectively between the front wall and either side wall and coupled thereto. In assembly, fold the cardboard to form a paper box with the second enhancement elements being sandwiched by the front wall and the forward extension at two front corners of the paper box and either first enhancement element being sandwiched by the side wall and the side extension at either front corner of the paper box.

The above and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a plan view of a piece of conventional cardboard being extended;

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a paper box formed by folding the piece of cardboard of FIG. 1;

FIG. 3 is a sectional view of a corner of the paper box in circle I of FIG. 2;

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the paper box being drawn out of a chest with a corner of the paper box shown in great enlargement;

FIG. 5 is a plan view of a piece of cardboard according to the invention being extended;

FIG. 6 is a perspective view of a paper box formed by folding the piece of cardboard of FIG. 5;

FIG. 7 is a sectional view of a corner of the paper box in circle 11 of FIG. 6; and

FIG. 8 is a perspective view of the paper box being drawn out of a chest.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 5 to 8, there is shown a paper box 1 constructed in accordance with the invention. As shown in an extended plan view of a piece of cardboard of FIG. 5, it comprises a rectangular center 2, a four-sided front wall 3, a four-sided rear wall 4 and two side walls 5. The four-sided front wall 3 extends from a front side of the center 2 and bordered therewith by a folded line 6. The front wall 3 further includes a four-sided forward extension 31 bordered the front wall 3 by a folded line 6 and two four-sided first enhancement elements 32 extending from either side of the forward extension 31. The four-sided rear wall 4 extends from a rear side of the center 2 and is bordered therewith by a folded line 6. Each side wall 5 extends respectively from both sides of the center 2 and is bordered therewith by two folded lines 6, the side wall 5 further includes an extension 51 bordered the side wall 5 by a folded line 6. Two four-sided folded members 41 are formed respectively between the rear wall 4 and either side wall 5 and coupled thereto. And two second enhancement elements 52 are formed respectively between the front wall 3 and either side wall 5 and coupled thereto.

A paper box 1 is formed by folding a piece of cardboard (see FIG. 6). The second enhancement elements 52 are sandwiched by the front wall 3 and its forward extension 31 at two front corners of the paper box 1 and either first enhancement element 32 is sandwiched by the side wall 5 and its extension 51 at either front corner of the paper box 1 (see FIG. 7). The formed paper box 1 is thus structurally strong. For example, as shown in FIG. 8, numbers of CDs are stored in the paper box 1 and a pulling at one side wall 5 adjacent the first enhancement element 32 for drawing out the paper box 1 from a chest 7 will not disengage the first enhancement element 32 from the paper box 1 by the increased area of thrust surface of the paper box 1 through assistance of the first enhancement element 32 and the second enhancement element 52. The paper box 1 is thus durable.

While the invention herein disclosed has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention set forth in the claims.
