Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a closure element for cosmetic product containers or vessels and the like

As is known, a lot of cosmetic products are frequently associated, for marketing purposes, with a further product, in particular a sample product, serving as an advertising means.

Moreover, it is frequently necessary to provide a product which, for example, must be used in combination with the product held in the main container.

For meeting the above requirement, the main product container is conventionally associated with a further container, of small size: however, such an arrangement generates a lot of packaging and dispensing problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the aim of the present invention is to solve the above mentioned problem.

To achieve the above aim, the invention provides a closure device which has a double function, thereby allowing moreover to solve all the problems related to the supplying and delivering of the so-called “samples”.

Within the scope of the above mentioned aim, a main object of the present invention is to provide such a closure element which is coupled, in a conventional manner, to the main container, and which, moreover, provides a further useful function.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide such a closure element which, owing to its specifically designed construction, is very reliable and safe in operation.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide such a closure element for cosmetic products and the like, which is very competitive from a mere economic standpoint.

According to one aspect of the present invention, the above mentioned aim and objects, as well as yet other objects, which will become more apparent hereinafter, are achieved by a closure element for containers of cosmetic products and the like, characterized in that said closure element comprises a body defining a plug portion which can be applied, in a closure relationship, to the mouth of a container, and being provided with a central recessed portion defining an auxiliary container, a closure cover for said recessed portion being moreover provided.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent hereinafter from the following detailed disclosure of a closure element for containers of cosmetic products and the like, which is illustrated, by way of an indicative, but not limitative, example, in the accompanying drawings where:

FIG. 1 illustrates, by an exploded perspective view, the closure element according to the present invention, with respect to a container;

FIG. 2 is a further perspective view illustrating the closure element applied to a container, and in an open position thereof;

FIG. 3 illustrates the closure element, in a closed position thereof, applied to a container;

FIG. 4 is a schematic perspective view illustrating the closure element, in an open position thereof; and

FIG. 5 is a further partially open and partially broken away perspective view illustrating the closure element according to the present invention.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

With reference to the number references of the above mentioned figures, the closure element for containers of cosmetic products and the like, according to the present invention, which has been generally indicated by the reference number 1, comprises a container body 2, defining a plug portion, which is practically constituted by an outer mantle or shell, engaged with the mouth 3 of a container or vessel 4.

As shown in the drawings, the coupling of the body 2 and mouth 3 is performed through a female thread 5, formed on the inner face of the body 2, engaged with a male thread 6 defined on the container mouth 3.

In this connection it should be apparent that the coupling can be changed according to requirements.

A main feature of the present invention is that the plug body 2 is provided with a central recessed portion 10, forming a small-size auxiliary container which, practically, is arranged inside the container mouth 3, and completes the plug body.

It is moreover provided a closure cover 11, coupled though a foot element 12, operating as a hinge element, which can be snap engaged on the enlarged edge or rim 13 encompassing the recessed portion 10 and which can be engaged by a counter-tooth element 14 formed on the closure cover 11.

Thus, the above disclosed device provides a closure element, which is apparently constituted by a conventional plug coupled on the mouth of the main container and which moreover includes an auxiliary container, which is substantially defined in the bottom of the plug element.

In practicing the invention, the used materials, though the best results have been achieved by using plastic materials, and the contingent size and shapes, can be any, according to requirements.

Claims
