Abstract:

All other putters that I have ever seen are designed so the golfer stands beside the ball when putting. The Straight Away Putter is designed with the shaft installed perpendicular to the club face so the golfer will stand behind the ball when putting. The golfer will stand back from his ball to line up his shot as he would with a conventional putter. Once he picks his line, he will walk straight up to the ball and stand behind the ball. Then he will putt the ball straight away from himself along the line he picked. Because the line of putting is already set, the golfer can concentrate on the speed of the putt.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

All putters that I have ever seen are designed for the golfer to stand beside the ball when putting toward the cup. With the Straight Away Putter, the golfer will stand behind the ball to putt.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

By making the club shaft perpendicular to the club head, the golfer can stand behind the ball to putt and putt straight away from himself. By putting straight away, the golfers line of putting is already set and he can concentrate on the speed of his putt.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE INVENTION

FIG. 1—Shows the location of the golfer's feet and how the ball is hit away from the golfer when using the Straight Away Putter.

FIG. 2—Shows the front view of the Straight Away Putter and that the club shaft is perpendicular to the putter face.

FIG. 3—Shows the side view and that the golfer stands behind the ball and putts straight away.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The only thing different about the Straight Away Putter from a conventional putter is that the club shaft is installed perpendicular to the putter face. This will aloow the golfer to stand behind the ball when putting.

Claims

1. By installing the club shaft perpendicular to the putter face, the golfer can stand behind the ball when putting. By putting straight away on the line he has picked, the golfer can concentrate on the speed of his putt.
