The Aqua Gopher is a device to insert a wiring trace under a sidewalk for installing low voltage lights, water features, and other exterior devices requiring electrical wiring. The device will permit the permanent insertion of a ¾ inch PVC pipe under a sidewalk.
The Aqua Gopher is a single all conclusive device with a “Female Hose Adapter”, FIG. 1, on one end of a ½″ aluminum pipe and a “Flushable End Cap”, FIG. 2, with a ⅛″ hole in the end. A soft “HPVC Foam Grip”, FIG. 3, is provided for easy handling. A permanent Polly collar, FIG. 4 is a stop for the ¾″ PVC pipe.
The water pressure will cut through the dirt and allow the ¾ inch PVC pipe to be pushed under the sidewalk. When the ¾ inch pipe extends about 2 inches from the sidewalk edge the water is turned off. The Aqua Gopher is removed and the ¾ inch PVC pipe remains under the sidewalk. The ¾ inch PVC pipe can now be used as a wire trace for running low voltage wire under a sidewalk.
1. A device for installing a permanent wiring trace under a sidewalk.
2. The device of claim 1, wherein water pressure from a garden hose is directed through an aluminum pipe, through a small orifice to create a hole under a sidewalk.
