Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a hanging ring apparatus for window shades and particularly to a hanging ring apparatus installed on the interior of an upper rail of a window shade to provide a secure hanging of the window shade on an anchor rod.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

There are numerous types of window coverings on the market, such as roman shades, blinds, bleated shades and the like. The general window shade is installed on a door and window of houses by bonding, fastening through fastening elements or hanging on an anchor rod made of a round wooden bar to block sunshine and be used as an adornment. The window shade hanging on the wooden anchor rod on the door and window can provide more appealing ornamental effect, hence is widely accepted by consumers.

Refer to FIG. 1 PRIOR ART and FIG. 2 PRIOR ART for a conventional window shade hanging on a round anchor rod 20 (a roman shade is used as an example). The window shade 10 includes an upper rail 11 which has a front end to hang a fabric shade 12. The upper rail 11 has a cord control assembly 13 located inside to control rolling and extension of the fabric shade 12. The upper end of the fabric shade 12 and the upper rail 11 are bridged by a strip type anchor plate 14. The anchor plate 14 has an upper end fastened to a plurality of hanging rings 15 in a spaced manner. Each hanging ring 15 has an annular ring 151 which has a screw thread portion 152 on a lower end to screw on the anchor plate 14. Thereby the anchor rod 20 can run through the annular ring 151 to hang the window shade 10 below the anchor rod 20.

However, hanging the window shade 10 on the anchor rod 20 through the hanging ring 15 still has problems, notably:

    • 1. Installation is difficult: the anchor plate 14 is an elongated strip and usually has to fasten a plurality of hanging rings 15 by screwing to evenly support the window shade 10 hung on the anchor rod 20 without dropping. Fastening of the hanging rings 15 to the anchor plate 14 by screwing has to be done individually. Installation takes a lot of time and is more complicated. It is not convenient in use.
    • 2. The window shade easily drops: after the window shade 10 has been used for a period of time, repetitive rolling and extension of the fabric shade 12 tends to loosen the screwing of the hanging rings 15 on the anchor plate 14. As a result, the window shade 10 tends to drop from the anchor rod 20.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a hanging ring apparatus for window shades that can be easily installed on two ends of an upper rail of a window shade to securely hang the window shade on an anchor rod without dropping.

To achieve the foregoing object, the hanging ring apparatus for window shades according to the invention mainly includes a block type body which has a top surface fastened to an annular hanging ring.

In one aspect, the hanging ring is integrally formed on the top surface of the body.

In another aspect, the hanging ring has a screw thread portion on the bottom and the top surface of the body has a screw hole engageable with the screw thread portion.

By means of the aforesaid structure, the hanging ring apparatus can be installed on two ends of the upper rail of the window shade to hang the window shade on the anchor rod mounted onto a door or window. As only two hanging rings apparatus are needed to be coupled on two ends of the upper rail, installation is much simpler. Moreover, the window shade is evenly hung and the weight thereof is evenly shared by the two hanging ring apparatus, it can be securely held on the anchor rod without dropping.

The foregoing, as well as additional objects, features and advantages of the invention will be more readily apparent from the following detailed description, which proceeds with reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 PRIOR ART is a schematic view of a conventional window shade hanging on an anchor rod.

FIG. 2 PRIOR ART is a sectional view of a conventional window shade hanging on an anchor rod.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the present invention.

FIG. 4 is a schematic view of the present invention hanging on an anchor rod.

FIG. 5 is a sectional view of the present invention hanging on an anchor rod.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Please referring to FIG. 3, the hanging ring apparatus 30 for window shades according to the invention mainly includes a block type body 31 which has a top surface attached to an annular hanging ring 32 which may be integrally formed on the top surface of the body 31. The hanging ring 32 may also have a screw thread portion on the bottom (not shown in the drawings), and the top surface of the body 31 may have a screw hole (also not shown in the drawings) to engage with the hanging ring 32.

Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, the hanging ring apparatus 30 of the invention can be used on various types of window shades 40 such as roman shades, blinds, bleated shades and the like. The window shade 40 includes an upper rail 41, a fabric shade 42 and a lift cord control assembly 43. The upper rail 41 has an opening 411 on an upper end and two opposing extensions 412 extended from inner sides of the opening 411 and spaced from each other. The body 31 can be wedged in the upper rail 41. When in use, two hanging ring apparatus 30 are fastened to an inner side of two ends of the upper rail 41 with the two extensions 412 pressing the top surface of the body 31. The hanging rings 32 are located above the opening 411 and positioned in a coaxial manner. Thereby the two hanging rings 32 can be run through by a round wooden anchor rod 50 to hang the window shade 40 to block sunshine and provide ornamental effect.

The hanging ring apparatus 30 thus formed has the following features:

    • 1. Easy installation: by coupling two hanging ring apparatus 30 on two ends of the upper rail 41, the window shade 40 can be hung easily. Installation process is simpler, installation time can be reduced and more convenient to use.
    • 2. Anchor the window shade firmly: the hanging ring apparatus 30 are fastened to two ends of the upper rail 41 of the window shade 40 and can hang the window shade 40 and bear its weight evenly. Hence the window shade 40 can be held securely on the anchor rod 50 without dropping.

In short, the hanging ring apparatus 30 of the invention can be installed easily to hang the window shade 40 without dropping. It is adaptable to various types of window shades to be hung on the anchor rod 50.
