Description

BACKGROUND

Storage device specifically ceiling mounted for easy access, especially when space is needed.

SUMMARY

The purpose of the “Ceiling Caddy” is to hold small items, like keys or remote controls or other items, around the house. The uniqueness of this device is that, unlike a table which requires floor space, it is ceiling mounted and retractable, so that you can change its height above the floor. This is to allow space saving convenience.

The container used to hold things, the “Holder”, is detachable for cleaning.

It can be ornamental or plain depending on the version. Its purpose is to hold things.

The “Line” used to connect the “Holder” to the “Retractable Device” is of a specific length to be determined by its use in a home with 8 foot or 9 foot ceilings.

The “Retractable Device” will consist of a ceiling mount and it will provide tension to the “Line” and the “Holder”, holding device, such that they can be pulled down to any desired length and stopped at that point. Then they can be pulled back up using the “Pull Ring”, to the highest point allowed by the “Retractable Device”. But no higher than the position of the “Stopper”.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION

Ceiling mounted retractable device will be mounted to any ceiling and then a line of specific length will be attached to the retractable device and hang toward the floor. Then a bowl shaped holding device will be attached to the bottom of the line with 3 connecting lines.

Height adjustment of the holder will be facilitated by pulling on a ring at the bottom of the holder.

1. This will be a ceiling mounted retractable holder for the purpose of holding any small household item
