The invention provides a new method of preserving or prolonging the preservation of foods and beverages after a sealed container has been opened.*

The advantage of this lid should be obvious by the fact that foods and beverages can be preserved for a longer period of time after air has been removed from the space that remains after some of the content has been removed from the container. This also applies to coffee by the fact that it prolongs its freshness.

The invention relates to means and methods to preserving or prolonging the preservation of Foods and Beverages after a sealed container has been opened. The advantages of this Lid should be obvious by the fact that Foods and Beverages can be preserved for a longer period of time after air has been removed from the space that remains after some of the content has been removed from the container. This also applies to coffee by the fact that it prolongs its freshness.
DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGThe above object, together with its described features of the invention, will be apparent in light of the details of construction and use of the Lid.

FIG. 3. shows the sealing pin that is part of the construction of the Lid. This sealing pin must also be removed in order to relieve suction before the Lid can be removed from the container.

DESCRIPTION OF THE “LID”Referring to FIGS. 1,2,3 and 4 of the drawing, the “Lid” can be made by molding of a plastic material and formed to fit any existing or new containers made of plastic or metal.
1. A means of evacuating air from a container that has been opened, in order to preserve or prolong the freshness of the content that remains in the container.
2. A means of evacuating air from a container, specifically containing coffee, in order to prolong its freshness.
