Abstract:

Skate N' Mop is new in the history of floor cleaning, since the consumer will use it as a cleaning pad over a shoe, in order to clean their floors. With traditional mops, you have to use your arms to push the mop around; with Skate N' Mop, you are using the weight of your body to help clean in a more thorough and sanitary fashion.

Description

Five rectangles of biodegradable material (a mixture of cotton, recycled paper and wood pulp) are sewn together where they meet; the large center rectangle would be approximately 8½″×11″ and the four smaller rectangles would be approximately 8″×4½″

Dotted lines show where flaps are sewn for string to be strung through and tied when outer rectangles are folded-up around ankle

Center rectangle is much thicker (½″ in width) and has an absorbent core for wet cleaner absorption (athletic shoe would be placed on top of this, then outer rectangles brought up and tied with string around ankle to hold it firmly in place)

1. Skate N+ Mop is a cleaning pad that you pull over an athletic shoe which helps you clean your floors.

2. It looks like a “bootie” that has a thicker pad surface on the very bottom. It is reversible. The cleaner in the pad would be made of essential oils that have antiseptic/disinfectant qualities.

3. There is not one on the market that exists.

4. You would step into the “bootie” and pull it over your athletic shoe. It could be worn on one or both feet. You would literally skate on your floor, allowing your body weight to clean your floor more thoroughly.

5. It's made out of an environmentally friendly fabric (mixture of cotton, recycled paper, wood pulp) and cotton string that would biodegrade.

It would be marketed as “environmentally friendly” as it would have no harsh chemicals, just essential oils, and would be made of a cotton material that would biodegrade.
