Abstract:

This invention pertains to collectibles, novelties, ornaments, gift decorating etc. It adds a place to store a handwritten or pre-typed personal message to any object. The objects can be made of any material, in any size, shape or form to meet the need. Three methods can be used: Hollow Space, Attachment and Pocket Methods. These methods are specifically constructed in/on the object to hold a blank piece of paper for the handwritten personal message or pre-typed personal message. They can be of any size, shape or form to meet the need of the object. The Message Keepsakes can be added to gift bags/boxes as the decoration or can be directly constructed in/on the gift bags/boxes. Or they can be the gift itself by constructing one or more of the methods in a collectible, novelty etc. A grommet, cord and charm can be attached to the paper to indicate the message.

Description

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

I was making soy candles and was trying to come up with something different to be competitive in the market I was attempting to make a way that the person buying the candle as a gift could put a personal message with it I was also seeking a way to store the soy wax information about the candle because many people do not know the benefits of burning a soy candle verses a paraffin one. I came up with the idea that the candle could be put in a keepsake, collectible, or ajar, that a hollow area, pocket and attachment could be made-in or attached onto any part of the candleholder. More than one hollow area, pocket or attachment could be used I found I could also use these methods to store information about the soy wax.

From there I realized that this method could be used on other objects besides candles. It could be used on keepsakes, collectibles, any item made of any material in any size, shape or form. The item could also be placed on a gift bag or box enabling any gift to be given with a personal message and the item to become a keepsake.

SUMMARY

This invention relates to but is not limited to; gift decorating, collectibles, souvenirs, novelties, ornaments, picture frames, candles and crafts for any occasion, event, holiday or special day.

    • Personal Message Holder/Message Keepsakes have several purposes.
    • Gives three methods in which to add a handwritten personal message or pre-type personal message or other information as preferred or needed.
    • Brings a personal message with any gift by adding a Message Keepsake to the gift bag or box etc.
    • Gives consumers option because they can be used in place of a bow and card because it can be the decoration and card at the same time, as well as, making the gift decoration a keepsake. Can also be used to enhance the bow.
    • Can be made of any appropriate material. Examples of materials that can be used, but are not limited to are; porcelain, ceramic,
    • sterling silver, glass, tin, card stock paper, cardboard, polymer clay, risen, wood and so on.
    • Can be the gift decoration, gift, collectible and keepsake.
    • Causes common gifts to become uncommon by adding a personal message to the gift or by adding the history of or information about an item with it
    • More than one method can be used on an object or more than one of the same methods can be used on a object as preferred that
    • could be used for the history or information about an object, a recipe and so on.
    • The blank piece of paper for the personal message or the pre-typed paper can be in any size or shape to meet the need of the item and can be of any stock and color.
    • The charms can indicate the message or can blend with the design of the message keepsake. These can also be made in any size shape or form and be made of any preferred material.
    • The cord connected to grommet and charm can be any material.
    • The paper can be removed by grommet, cord and charm or can have a hook on the cap that hooks through the grommet on the paper to remove the paper.
    • The three methods can also be constructed in the gift bag or box making the box and bag a keepsake.
    • Makes a way to remember who gave the gift, Christmas tree ornament as a gift etc. because the personal message is stored inside
    • Can be used for corporation gifts and can be made in any size, shape and form desired by the corporation and at the same time the corporation can put any message they want stored inside.
    • The personal message can be hidden from view or open for display depending on the design of the object and the method used.
    • Method can be placed as desired in any shape, form and size as desired by the manufacturer.
    • Can be used for any occasion, holiday, event or special day.
    • Can be added to the present trends or future ones.
    • Can be used as an invitation, a cake topper, party favor, corporate gift and so on.
    • Gives a sentimental keepsake with any gift to be passed down for generations.
    • Brings a way of giving a keepsake with gifts that don't last such as candles, flowers, homemade cookies, jams and so on. Once the gift is gone still have the Message Keepsake.
    • Can be as inexpensive or elaborate as desired.
    • The methods can be placed on the object as desired or needed to meet the need of the object
    • Can be constructed into current collectibles being manufactured or can start a whole new line.
    • Can be designed as desired by a manufacturer.

Claims

I claim:

1. A Personal Message Holder Device/Message Keepsake comprising:

A space specifically constructed in or on an object of any size, shape or form and made of any material that can hold and store a blank piece of paper for a handwritten personal message or a pre-typed personal message.

There are three methods in which to add and store the message. The hollow space, the attachment and the pocket method. An object using any of the three methods can be added to gift boxes, bags, jars, containers and so on, for gift decorating. Or the Personal Message Holder/Message Keepsake can be the gift or collectible.

The paper can be any size, shape, form, color and stock to meet the need of the method used, the object used or as preferred. A grommet, cord and charm could be connected to the paper to indicate the message, pull the message out or enhance the object as desired.

2. Personal Message Holder Device/Message Keepsake as claimed in claim 1 whereas I said A space specifically constructed in or on an object

The object pertains to, but is not limited to; collectibles, crafts, ornaments, novelties, souvenirs, candles, picture frames, pottery, gift bags/boxes and so on that one of three methods could be used to hold and store the paper.

3. Personal Message Holder Device/Message Keepsake as claimed in claim 1 whereas I said an object of any size shape or form.

The size, shape or form of the object can be, but is not limited to; angels, hearts, flowers, snowman and so on. They can be made in any size that is appropriate to hold a blank piece of paper with a personal message or a pre-typed personal message. They can be made in any shape or form desired or needed to fit the need of the object, as claimed in claim 2.

4. Personal Message Holder Device/Message Keepsake as claimed in claim 1 whereas I said made of any material.

The object, as claimed in claim 2, can be made of any material such as, but not limit to; resin, porcelain, tin, cardboard, paper, glass, ceramic and so on.

5. Personal Message Holder Device/Message Keepsake as claimed in claim 1 whereas I said the hollow space method.

A hollow space method; is a hollow space of any size, shape or form, as claimed in claims 3 and material, as claimed in claim 4. It is specifically constructed anywhere in any object, as claimed in claims 2, in any size, shape or foam, as claimed in claim 3 and of any material, as claimed in claim 4, to hold a blank piece of paper for a handwritten personal message or a pre-type personal message. The material used for the hollow space can be or not be the same material of the object it is constructed into. If appropriate, the hollow space can have a cap, lid, snap and so on to keep paper secure.

7. Personal Message Holder Device/Message Keepsake as claimed in claim 1 whereas I said the pocket method.

This method is a pocket of any size shape, form and material, as claimed in claims 3 and 4 that is specifically constructed anywhere in or on an object, as claimed in claim 2, to store a blank piece of paper for a handwritten personal message or pre-typed personal message. The pocket could be hidden or in view as preferred. The pocket can be of the same material of the object or can be of another material. The pocket could be clear so as the message could be viewed or could be colored or of a material that is not see through to keep message private.

9. Personal Message Holder Device/Message Keepsake as claimed in claim 1 whereas I said the Personal Message Holder/Message Keepsake can be the gift or collectible.

This is done by adding any method, as claimed in claim 5, 6 and 7, to an object as claimed in claim 2, of any size, shape and form, as claimed in claim 3, of any material as claimed in claim 4, causing the object to become a message keepsake.

10. Personal Message Holder Device/Message Keepsake as claimed in claim 1 whereas I said

A grommet, cord and charm could be connected to the paper to indicate the message, pull the message out or enhance the object as desired.

These can be in any size, shape, form and material as claimed in claims 3 and 4 as desired to meet the need of the object, as claimed in claim 2. This is used to indicate the message, enhance the object and assist in removing the paper from the object it is stored in. Note: If a cap is used, a hook can be constructed in the cap. The hook would connect to the paper through the grommet and the paper could be removed by pulling off the cap.

11. Personal Message Holder Device/Message Keepsake as claimed in claim 1 whereas I said In which to store a blank piece of paper for a handwritten personal message or a pre-typed personal message.

The paper can be of any size and shape and can be rolled, folded and so on, to fit the space the paper will be stored in. It can be of any color or stock and can have a background design if preferred. The pre-typed message can be but is not limited to; personal information about a company, an artist and so on. Or can be ingredients, invitation etc.
