Abstract:

A mechanism to provide a convenient means for releasing the contents of an aerosol can while reducing finger-fatigue and preventing the contents from adhering to the finger tip. This invention is comprised of a base that is easily mounted to the ring of an aerosol can with a lever that is hinged from the base and extends down along the side of the aerosol can. A single hand can grasp the can and depress the lever which will hinge down and push the nozzle and thereby release the contents.

Description

It is an object of this invention to provide a convenient means for releasing the contents of an aerosol can while reducing finger-fatigue and preventing the contents from adhering to the finger tip.

This invention consists of two components. The base 1 will be manually attached to the ring 3 of an aerosol can 4. The lever 2 will be attached to the base 1 at a hinge axis above and forward of the aerosol can nozzle 5. The lever 2 extends from the hinge axis and bends down along the side of the aerosol can.

A single hand can grasp the can and depress the lever 2 which will hinge down and push the nozzle 5 and thereby release the contents.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A mechanism for releasing the contents of an aerosol can comprising:

A base that fits firmly to the ring of an aerosol can; and

A lever attached to said base, at a hinge axis, that will push down on the aerosol can nozzle; and

Said lever is shaped to extend down along the side of the aerosol can enabling activation when the can is grasped by a single hand.
