Abstract:

The Mascot Rally is one of a kind; no other game day paraphernalia looks or resembles it. It is the intent of the designer that the Mascot Rally be both useful and non-disruptive during normal activities at a sporting event. The Mascot Rally does not enclose the hand. It rather covers the top of the hand and the top of the forearm. This design will allow for the user to freely use his or her hand for other activities such as clapping, cheering and eating. The Mascot Rally will be created from Foam or some foam-like material will then be added to the cavity of the mold, this is pivotal in its use. The Mascot Rally was designed for the purpose of prep rallies and sporting event celebrations. The primary focus is in support of collegiate and professional sports and entertainment during these festivities.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The Mascot Rally is not a hand puppet. As seen in the following figures, the Mascot Rally does not enclose the hand. It rather covers the top of the hand and the top of the forearm. This design will allow for the user to freely use his or her hand for other activities such as clapping and eating. The mass production of the Mascot Rally will start with a plaster mold of the final prototype. Foam or some foam-like material will then be added to the cavity of the mold.

The Mascot Rally was designed for the purpose of prep rallies and sporting event celebrations. The primary focus is in support of collegiate and professional sports and entertainment during these festivities. It is the intent of the designer that the Mascot Rally be both useful and non-disruptive during normal activities at a sporting event.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS

The design for the Mascot Rally, as shown in FIG. 1, displays its dimensions, in inches.

In FIG. 2, the Mascot Rally is displayed in 3 dimensional respects. Here, the straps are shown with greater clarity.

In FIG. 3, it is demonstrated how the Mascot Rally should be worn, covering the forearms and the upper part of the hand.

As demonstrated in FIG. 4, the Mascot Rally can easily be applied (attach and detach examples).

In FIGS. 5, 6, 7 and 8, additional images of the Mascot Rally that showcases its design and utility features. A clay-based prototype has been constructed. This will be used to create a functioning prototype, which will be consisted of some foam or foam-like material (i.e. Impact Foam or Polyurethane Foam).

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The Mascot Rally is one of a kind; no other game day paraphernalia looks or resembles it. It is the intent of the designer that the Mascot Rally be both useful and non-disruptive during normal activities at a sporting event. The Mascot Rally does not enclose the hand. It rather covers the top of the hand and the top of the forearm. This design will allow for the user to freely use his or her hand for other activities such as clapping and eating. The mass production of the Mascot Rally will start with a plaster mold of the final prototype. Foam or some foam-like material will then be added to the cavity of the mold.

The Mascot Rally ‘head’ piece is 14 to 15 inches in length. Its width is 4 to 5 inches. There will be Velcro straps that will hold the Mascot Rally, fastening it to the user's forearms. These Velcro straps are 3 to 4 inches in length and 1.5 inches in width. The Mascot Rally ‘bottom’ piece is 12.5 to 13 inches in length. Its width is 3 to 4 inches. There will be Velcro straps that will hold the bottom, fastening it to the user's forearms. These Velcro straps are 3 to 4 inches in length and 1.5 inches in width. The fastening straps will be attached to the Mascot Rally by rectangular holes at the base of the Mascot Rally. They were be held securely by button ‘snaps’ that will be sewn on the Velcro straps. These will be located at the wrist and the forearm of the user. This is represented in FIGS. 1 and 2.

Both the head and the bottom of the Mascot Rally are ‘hollow’. This will allow the user's arms to not be enclosed within the Mascot Rally. The Velcro straps use to fasten the Mascot Rally in place will be located at wrist and at the forearm of the bearer. The underside of the forearm and the open face of the hand will be exposed. This will allow for easy access to food, drinks and clapping.

By utilizing easy to remove and enclose Velcro straps, the Mascot Rally can be handled with ease. The Velcro Straps will be securely attached to the Mascot Rally bottom and top piece by way of button ‘snaps’ the will be sewn on the Velcro straps.

The Mascot Rally will be constructed of soft but yet firm, foam-like material. It is the intent of the inventor that the Mascot Rally to retain its shape through use and weather. It will be coated by a waterproof sealant to keep moisture from corroding the foam composite. The materials selected for the construction of the Mascot Rally cannot be used as a weapon under normal situations.

Claims

I. The Utility of the Mascot Rally and its close relation and participation to sporting events and sporting subject matter. The Mascot Rally will be utilized primarily at both collegiate and professional sporting events.

II. The design of the Mascot Rally. Its size, its construction, and intended usage with how it is utilized or worn by the subject matter. For human beings, over the forearms and hand, leaving palms and fingers exposed for other activities.

III. The Use of Velcro straps to fasten the Mascot Rally to the subject/user's arms, rather than enclosing their entire hand or other body parts. This allows for easy attachment/detachment.

IV. The choice of materials that is used to construct the Mascot Rally. The construction material allows for flexibility and protection against elemental factors and durability against normal, intended usage.
