Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

This invention relates to a mobile case.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

This invention relates to a mobile case that can be used as a device stand. Electronic devices are becoming smaller and more mobile. Cell phones, Smartphones, PDAs, BlackBerrys and Tablet PCs are now replacing most of the applications of desktop PCs. Writing emails, entering data in to a database, listening to music and watching videos on these mobile devices are now a common tasks for mobile users. To support these features, there are many kinds of peripherals such as keyboards and barcode scanners that can be attached to mobile devices. To type on a keyboard that is attached to these mobile devices or to watch videos on a stand is needed.

My invention provides the ability to use one product both as a caring case and as a stand.

It is therefore an object of the invention to use mobile case as a device stand.

It is another object of the invention to use a flap of a case as a bottom of a stand.

It is another object of the invention to use one or more ridges on a flap to support different viewing angles and different device sizes.

It is another object of the invention to use a recess on a side of a case to prevent devices from sliding sideways.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A mobile case can be used as a carrying pouch or a device stand. As a carrying pouch, it can be used to carry the device and accessories such as external keyboard and charger. When the case is opened and placed on the table upside down with the flap opened to the outside as shown in FIG. 1, it can be used as a device stand. The case will have ridges on the flap to keep the device from sliding down and a recess on the case to keep it from sliding sideways.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

A complete understanding of the present invention may be obtained by reference to the accompanying drawings, when considered in conjunction with the subsequent, detailed description, in which:

FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of a case when it is used as a carrying case constructed in accordance with the invention;

FIG. 2 is a left view of the case of FIG. 1 when it is used as a stand; and

FIG. 3 is a front view of the case of FIG. 1 when it is used as a stand.

For purposes of clarity and brevity, like elements and components will bear the same designations and numbering throughout the Figures.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of a case when it is used as a carrying case constructed in accordance with the invention. When it is used as a device case flap 11 is used to close and secure the case. FIG. 2 shows when the case is used as a stand by extending flap 11. Flap 11 has ridges 10 on it to prevent devices from sliding down. There could be more than one ridge to support different viewing angles and different device sizes. In addition to the ridges 10, the case has a recess 14 on the side as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. The recess 14 is to prevent a device from sliding side ways. The case has a gusset 12 to keep the two side of the case from opening all the way when it is used as a stand. The hinge point 16 also gives support and flexibility when the case is opened and closed.

Since other modifications and changes varied to fit particular operating requirements and environments will be apparent to those skilled in the art, the invention is not considered limited to the example chosen for purposes of disclosure, and covers all changes and modifications which do not constitute departures from the true spirit and scope of this invention.

Claims

Having thus described the invention, what is desired to be protected by Letters Patent is presented in the subsequently appended claims:

1. A mobile case that can be used as a device stand, comprising of:

a flap, to close and secure the case when it is used as a carrying case and to use it as a bottom support when it is used as a stand;

ridges, to support different viewing angles and different device sizes;

a recess, to prevent the device from sliding sideways; and

a gusset, to keep the two sides of the case from opening all the way when it is used as a stand.
