Description

INTRODUCTION

Hereby current descriptive report regards to a patent request for an invention of a device that integrates technological electronic systems, making possible interaction with computer games programs and, in the future, interact with television set since it already integrates the same technology.

For in such a way, the device shall interact with games through voice command, infrared wave communication and wireless protocol system. Once using the piece integrated to this kit communication, all kind of physical contact with the computer is dismissed, the result is a device totally wireless interacted to be used to play electronic games.

STATE OF THE ART

The electronic games started decades ago. On that time, it was considered entertainment and educational activities and it also was used in training programs. Throughout the time, these electronic games evolved technologically. In the beginning it was integrated to flipper machines, passing to the invention of consoles (a kind of computer in a small box), connected to a television set and a media cartridge with the game inside. After connection, the playing started by touching the joystick to send commands to the games.

This system was improved by compact discs (CDs), also introduced in consoles by medias and a bigger range of games came up.

On the last decade, as a result of the enormous evolution of the computers, the games became even better due to the progress of graphics art technology improving the definition meaning that, the 3D images created brought more realism to the characters, its motion and to the environment.

Surely the technology is not going to not stop on the current level, new equipment to computer games and other devices will suffer steady improvement either through industrial evolution or by users demanding.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PATENT

Considering as sure that improvement and inventions will appear on this field of entertainment, specifically electronic games—reaching, currently even though adults, the inventor introduces a new concept for the drive from putting together modern technology in one unique piece, a kind of stick, to turn the game even more exciting and realistic.

It was designed, so, a new handle object, replacing the known joystick, and this new device does not require physical contact with the computer, proportioning bigger movement freedom to the user and making possible, due to this freedom, the possibility of creation of games that probably could not be played with manipulators with wire.

Thinking of this new concept, the new manipulator was invented composed by a stick able to join this new wireless data communication technology, making possible data traffic, on both directions, in a high speed what is absolutely necessary to realize this project and the result is the achievement of excellent interactive features between the device and the game.

This device can be used on several sectors such as professional software games and training programs. One example of using in training program is the advantage of, joining sited people in a room; the device can be passed among the users without the need of change of places. Using the device, anyone can interact with whatever was being shown on the screen.

The device is constituted by a stick with contacts to coupling thru a power source (computer), key of external drive, interconnected to a plate of electronic circuit with a microphone entry to voice command in a wireless system, interacting with the electronic game and an infrared wave sender.

Superficially explaining, the device is detailed via attached drawings, as follows:

Picture 1—Stick higher view, showing the external keyboard and voice command microphone output thru wireless system. By side, extended detail of the keyboard and the output for the microphone;

Picture 2—Stick view, coupling by the contact of its grip to the recharge base. As it can be noticed, a computer can be used to provide the energy to the base, via an USB connector cable. By side, A-A cut from base showing the main circuit of the module, the wireless receptor and the infrared signal receptor.

Picture 3—Schematic view, showing the internal arrangement of the stick. Other disposals are possible. On tins view, the electronic circuit is hosted internally on the stick grip, interconnected to the external key. Still on the grip, the circuit plate is connected, by wire, to the microphone and, on the extremity of the stick structure, also by wire, is set the infrared wave sender.

In compliance to the attached drawings, the “electronic device for command for virtual games in computers”, object of the current invention patent, is constituted by a structured (2) stick (1) with an anatomic grip (3), and on its extreme, a contact to connection to a recharge base (B), that is connected by an USB cable as a power source via computer (C), since the grip receives, externally, a small keyboard (5).

This external keyboard (5) is connected to an internal electronic circuit (6) containing a wireless system powered by compatible battery (BA) with the electronic receiving circuit which works also via wireless system from the recharge base (B).

This electronic circuit (6) also contains a microphone receiving entry (7), fixed to the end of the grip (3) and his connected to an infrared wave sender (8), fixed on the free place at the extreme of the stick (1).

With this design, the device is used to command several electronic games for computers, via sent signals from its electronic circuit (6) by recharge base (B). To the reception of the signal sent from the device (1) the base counts with an infrared receiving module (9) and a wireless module (10) both integrated to the main module (11).

So, the proposed system has two kinds of command, either a keyboard command, triggering the infrared wave sender from the extreme of the stick or by voice command, triggered via microphone, using the wireless system.

Thus, the device makes usage easier and improves the flexibility. It can be rapidly passed hand by hand among several users, by point to the computer and, triggering its keyboard (5) will send signals to the infrared receiving module (9) on the base (B). These signals will be interpreted by the main module (11) and it will send the command to the game on the computer.

To use the voice command, the user shall record the voice on the electronic circuit making possible sending, via microphone (7), from the device (1) to the wireless receiving module (10) on the base (B), the desired command. The signals will be interpreted for the main module (11) and it will send the command to the program to execute it on the game.
