After urinating into a urinal, the human retracts his penis into his pants. However, the penis frequently drips urine after it is retracted because the urethra may not be completely clear of urine. The post urination drip may cause discomfort, unpleasant odor, and spotting of clothing.
The present invention provides a method for preventing post urination drip after a urination session.
FIG. 1 shows a tissue dispenser located within reach of a human male standing in front of a urinal.
FIGS. 2A and 2B shows exemplary tissue dispensers that may be used in accordance with the present invention.
The present invention features a method for preventing post urination drip from a penis of a human male after he urinates into a urinal 200. In some embodiments, the method comprises providing a tissue dispenser 100 next to the urinal 200, wherein the human male can extract a tissue 102 from the dispenser 100 to wipe his penis after urination. The tissue dispenser 100 is positioned within about two feet of the urinal 200 so that the human male can extract the tissue 102 without having to step away from the urinal 200. See FIG. 1. As used herein, the term “about” means plus or minus 10% of the referenced number. Also, as used herein, a “urinal” is a fixture attached upright to a wall, used by men for urinating, and does not have a seat (see FIG. 1). A urinal is different from a toilet, which is fixture for defecation and urination, comprising a bowl fitted with a hinged seat.
In some embodiments, the distance 150 between the tissue dispenser 100 and the urinal 200 may be less than or equal to two feet, for example less than or equal to about 1.5 feet, less than or equal to about 1 foot, or less than or equal to about 0.5 foot.
Any tissue dispenser 100 can be used in accordance with the present invention. For example, a tissue dispenser as shown in U.S. Pat. No. 6,237,805 (Katsanevas, entitled Door Towel Dispenser) can be attached to a wall (e.g., bolted to the wall) within about two feet of the urinal 200.
In some embodiments, a tissue dispenser can be a container that can be tied to a plumbing tube 202 associated with the urinal 200.
In some embodiments, the present method also provides for a waste container 110 next to the urinal for discarding the tissue after the tissue is used to wipe the penis. In some embodiments, the dispenser 100 allows for the human male to obtain the tissue with one hand (as the other hand may be needed to hold the penis while it is outside of his pants).
The present invention also provides a urinal system comprising a urinal and a tissue dispenser 100, wherein the tissue dispenser 100 may be located less than or equal to two feet from the urinal 200, for example less than or equal to about 1.5 feet, less than or equal to about 1 foot, or less than or equal to about 0.5 foot. in some embodiments, the urinal system includes a waste container 110 located in proximity to the tissue dispenser, so that the user can conveniently dispose of the tissue 102 after using it to wipe his drips.
Various modifications of the invention, in addition to those described herein, will be apparent to those skilled in the art from the foregoing description. Such modifications are also intended to fall within the scope of the appended claims. Each reference cited in the present application is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
Although there has been shown and described the preferred embodiment of the present invention, it will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that modifications may be made thereto which do not exceed the scope of the appended claims. Therefore, the scope of the invention is only to be limited by the following claims.
1. A method for preventing post urination drip from a penis of a human male after he urinates into a urinal, the method comprises providing a tissue dispenser next to the urinal, wherein the human male can extract a tissue from the dispenser to wipe his penis after urination, and providing a waste container next to the urinal for discarding the tissue after the tissue is used to wipe the penis, the tissue dispenser is positioned within about two feet of the urinal so that the human male can extract the tissue without having to step away from the urinal.
