The invention relates to an automatic cleaning device, and specifically, to a dust or dirt collecting device.
DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART
In most public places, such as hotels, hospitals, schools, factories, airports, shopping centers, and railway stations, and even in most private places, such as cars, homes, kitchens, etc., dust or dirt particles are accumulated on carpets or floorboards by people coming and going.
Dust or dirt left on carpets or floorboard is usually removed by means of brushes and dustbins or by use of vacuum cleaners. Though these methods are effective, they also have the following drawbacks: 1) they cannot remove dust or dirt particles immediately after the particles are deposited; 2) cleaning work has to be done frequently, or the dust or dirt particles will accumulate and negatively influence esthetics of the environment; and 3) they require the use of cleaning staff to carry out the same repetitive cleaning function periodically.
Accordingly, much opportunity for improvement remains in the area of dust or dirt removal.
Therefore, in order to overcome the above-identified drawbacks, it is one objective of the invention to provide a dust collecting device for collecting dust or dirt particles from carpets or floorboards as soon as they are deposited.
To achieve the above objective, there is provided a dust collecting device, comprising a dust collector comprising a port; and a dust collecting mattress comprising a mattress cover, a mattress working face, and a dust exhaust.
In one embodiment of the invention, the port is connected to the dust exhaust via a dust pipe.
In another embodiment of the invention, the mattress working face is formed with a plurality of small holes connected to the dust exhaust.
In another embodiment of the invention, a plurality of stiffening ribs is disposed between the mattress cover and the mattress working face, and a clearance space is formed between the stiffening ribs.
In another embodiment of the invention, the stiffening ribs are concave in shape.
In yet another embodiment of the invention, a raised ring is formed along the outer edge of the dust collecting mattress and the raised ring is hollow.

The reference numbers of the various parts shown in the drawings are listed below, in which dust collector corresponds to the number 1; dust collecting mattress—2; mattress cover—3; mattress working face—4; dust pipe—5; dust exhaust—6; concave stiffening rib—7; raised ring—8; small hole—9, and port—10.
With reference to FIG. 1, a dust collecting device of the invention comprises a dust collector 1 comprising a port 10; and a dust collecting mattress 2 comprising a mattress cover 3, a mattress working face 4, and a dust exhaust 6. Port 10 is connected to the dust exhaust 6 via a dust pipe 5. The mattress working face 4 is formed with a plurality of small holes 9 connected to the dust exhaust 6. The port is formed as standard port and is suitable for connection to various pipes. The mattress working face 4 is designed into an irregularly-raised shape to provide good anti-skid performance.
As shown in FIG. 2, a plurality of small holes 9 is formed on the surface of the mattress working face 4. When people pass by and step on the mattress working face, the mattress working face 4 bends under the weight allowing the dust or dirt particles drop down though the small holes. A plurality of stiffening ribs is disposed between the mattress cover 3 and the mattress working face 4, and a certain amount of clearance space is formed between the concave stiffening ribs. Owing to the existence of the clearance space, the dust or particles can drop down to the clearance space and thereby can be collected by the dust collector 1, so that the carpet or floorboard can be kept clean and provide good environmental atmosphere.
In addition, a raised ring 8 is also formed along the outer edge of the dust collecting mattress 2. The raised ring can be a hollow ring for storing fragrance. The raised ring 8 also contributes to the anti-skid performance of the dust collecting device.
The dust collecting device of the invention can be used in public places such as hotels, hospitals, factories, schools, government departments, airports, shopping centers, railway stations, etc, or in private places, such as homes, kitchens, cars, etc.
Although this invention has been described in connection with preferred embodiments thereof, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that additions, modifications, substitutions and deletions not specifically described may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the claims.
1. A dust collecting device, comprising
a dust collector (1) comprising a port (10); and
a dust collecting mattress (2) comprising a mattress cover (3), a mattress working face (4), and a dust exhaust (6);
wherein
said port (10) is connected to said dust exhaust (6) via a dust pipe (5);
said mattress working face (4) is formed with a plurality of small holes (9) connected to said dust exhaust (6) via a plurality of ducts, each said duct forming a shortest line between said small hole and said dust exhaust, whereby allowing dust or dirt particles to drop down to said dust exhaust (6) under the influence of gravity without the need for a suction device.
2. The device of claim 1, wherein a plurality of stiffening ribs (7) is disposed between said mattress cover (3) and said mattress working face (4), and a clearance space is formed between said stiffening ribs (7).
3. The device of claim 2, wherein said stiffening ribs (7) are concave in shape.
4. The device of claim 1, wherein a raised ring (8) is formed along the outer edge of said dust collecting mattress (2), and said raised ring is hollow.
5. The device of claim 4, wherein said mattress working face (4) is of an irregularly-raised shape whereby providing good anti skid performance.
6. The device of claim 5, wherein said raised ring (8) is adapted to store fragrance and simultaneously to improve said anti-skid performance of the device.
7. A dust collecting device, comprising
a dust collector (1) comprising a port (10);
a dust collecting mattress (2) comprising a mattress cover (3), a mattress working face (4) with a plurality of small holes (9), and a dust exhaust (6); and
not comprising a suction device connected to said dust exhaust (6), wherein
said port (10) is connected to said dust exhaust (6) via a dust pipe (5); and
each said small hole (9) is connected to said dust exhaust (6) by a passage oriented at an acute angle with respect to the horizontal, whereby allowing dust or dirt particles to drop down to said dust exhaust (6) under the influence of gravity only.
8. The device of claim 7, wherein a plurality of stiffening ribs (7) is disposed between said mattress cover (3) and said mattress working face (4), and a clearance space is formed between said stiffening ribs (7).
9. The device of claim 8, wherein said stiffening ribs (7) are concave in shape.
10. The device of claim 7, wherein a raised ring (8) is formed along the outer edge of said dust collecting mattress (2), and said raised ring is hollow.
11. The device of claim 10, wherein said mattress working face (4) is of an irregularly-raised shape whereby providing good anti skid performance.
12. The device of claim 11, wherein said raised ring (8) is adapted to store fragrance and simultaneously to improve said anti-skid performance of the device.
13. A dust collecting device, comprising
a dust collector (1) comprising a port (10);
a dust collecting mattress (2) comprising a mattress cover (3), a mattress working face (4) with a plurality of small holes (9), and a single central dust exhaust (6) for all said small holes (9); and
not comprising a suction device connected to said dust exhaust (6), wherein
said port (10) is connected to said dust exhaust (6) via a dust pipe (5); and
each said small hole (9) is connected to said dust exhaust (6) by a passage oriented at an acute angle with respect to the horizontal, whereby allowing dust or dirt particles to drop down to said dust exhaust (6) under the influence of gravity only.
14. The device of claim 13, wherein a plurality of stiffening ribs (7) is disposed between said mattress cover (3) and said mattress working face (4), and a clearance space is formed between said stiffening ribs (7).
15. The device of claim 14, wherein said stiffening ribs (7) are concave in shape.
16. The device of claim 13, wherein a raised ring (8) is formed along the outer edge of said dust collecting mattress (2), and said raised ring is hollow.
17. The device of claim 16, wherein said mattress working face (4) is of an irregularly-raised shape whereby providing good anti skid performance.
18. The device of claim 17, wherein said raised ring (8) is adapted to store fragrance and simultaneously to improve said anti-skid performance of the device.
