The purpose of the VHG Deflector is to deflect the damp vapors, heat and burned gases away from the rear end of the motorcycle. A clearer definition is, on the 1800 Honda Rune; at initial start-up, damp vapors will cover the rear end accessories. On road trips the continued exhaust from the engine of the rune will create carbon dioxide stains from burned gases and tarnish from the tremendous heat. Everything that has taken place from start-up to engine shut down is a direct result of the burned gases blown inward to the motorcycles chrome/painted accessories which make for an unsightly mess. The deflector was created to take away the pain of the above mentioned problems. This particular deflector was designed for the 1800 Honda Rune, but can be scaled up or down with different brackets to fit any motorcycle with the same or similar problems.
