Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

This invention relates to plastic bags, and more particularly lined resealable plastic bags.

BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

For over 50 years, plastic bags have been widely used to contain various household articles, particularly food. When food is stored in resealable plastic bags and stored in a refrigerator, items stay fresh for a longer period of time and can be consumed at a later date. The problem however in lies with fruits, vegetables, and meats which are more porous than most foods. Exposure to moisture shortens the life of the food. When wanting to keep fruits, vegetables, and meats fresh for a longer period of time, one can use paper towels to absorb excess moisture; however, the average consumer uses too much paper towel as well as struggles with extracting the food as the paper towel is soggy after use. My new design will help households keep food fresher for a longer period of time while reducing excess paper product waste.

Description of Pictures (See Pictures on Pages 3-6)

FIG. 1 is an elevated side view of a lined resealable bag. The picture of my new design shows a 11.5″×10.5″ resealable plastic bag that's interior walls are lined with adhesively secured paper towels measuring 9.5″×10.5″ (all dimensions noted are applicable for all figures).

FIG. 2 is an elevated top view of a lined resealable bag. The picture of my new design shows the resealable plastic bag that's interior walls are lined with adhesively secured paper towels. In this view, both interior walls are easily visible.

FIG. 3 is an elevated and more distant top view of a lined resealable bag. The picture of my new design shows the resealable plastic bag that's interior walls are lined with adhesively secured paper towels. In this view, both interior walls are easily visible.

FIG. 4 is an elevated front view of a lined resealable plastic bag. In this view the scale of the lined resealable plastic bag is more easily visible.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. The ornamental design for a fitted and permanent lining for resealable plastic bags. The lining which lines the resealable plastic bag consists of paper towels and is secured to the interior walls of the bag with light adhesive. The primary purpose of lining the resealable plastic bags is to lengthen the life of food; primarily fruits, vegetables, and meats by absorbing excess moisture with little effort from the consumer. The secondary purpose of lining the resealable plastic bags is to reduce household paper product waste as the lining is accurately measured and assembled.
