Abstract:
The FNH SLP Sling Mount Adapter is a single-piece metallic adapter that provides the means to attach an AR-15 style sling mount to the grip-plate area of the buttstock of the shotgun and is secured to the buttstock of the shotgun with a mounting screw.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The FNH SLP Sling Mount Adapter provides the user a means to attach an AR-15 Style sling mount to the buttstock of the FNH SLP Shotgun by means of a screw which is used to secure the FNH SLP Sling Mount Adapter and an AR-15 style sling mount into the buttstock of the shotgun at the base of the grip of the shotgun.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The FNH SLP Sling Mount Adapter is a metallic adapter used to attach an AR-15 Style sling mount to the buttstock of the shotgun with a screw that is affixed into the grip plate area of the shotgun and replaces the factory grip-plate and mounting screw. The replacement mounting screw attaches both the FNH SLP Sling Mount Adapter and the AR-15 Style Sling Mount to the grip-plate area of the buttstock of the shotgun. The invention is composed of a single piece of metal and is not a sling mount in and of itself, but rather a means to attach a sling mount to the grip-plate area of the buttstock of the shotgun.
Claims
1.) I claim the FNH SLP Sling Mount Adapter is a metallic adapter, which enables one to attach an AR-15 style sling mount to the buttstock of the shotgun with a screw that is affixed into the grip-plate area of the shotgun and replaces the factory grip-plate and mounting screw.
2.) I claim the FNH SLP Sling Mount adapter is attached to the base of the grip in the buttstock of the shotgun with a screw.
3.) I claim that the FNH SLP Sling Mount Adapter is not a sling mount itself, but rather a means to attach a sling mount to the buttstock of the shotgun.
4.) I claim the FNH SLP Sling Mount Adapter is composed of a single piece of metal.
5.) I claim the FNH SLP Sling Mount Adapter is attached onto the buttstock of the shotgun with the aforementioned mounting screw.
