Religious or ritual equipment in dwelling or for general use; Christmas trees Christmas tree stands
When mounting Christmas Trees that were over 12 feet tall onto the large commercial stands available from the industry we found the trees were not held stable or straight.
My solution and answer to both problems is the BRACE.
The brace is a steel rebar that has welded to one end a plate. On the other end of the rebar is welded a 9/16 inch steel flat washer. The overall length of the brace is 30 inches.
FIG. 1) Plate: a 4 inch, 1 inch×⅛ inch steel flat bar plate with two ⅛ inch screw holes.
FIG. 2) (A) Rebar Brace: solid ½ inch steel rebar that has welded to one end a plate and on the other end is welded a 9/16″ I.D. steel washer.
FIG. 2) (B) Rebar Brace: solid ½ inch steel rebar with a plate at a 30 degree angle and on the other end a 9/16″ I.D. steel washer.
With stand attach to tree; attach the washer on the rebar brace to the 9/16 inch steel washer on the stand using a ½ inch by 1 inch machine bolt and nut assembly. Then, with the tree standing straight, install two #8 hex head screws through the plate holes into the tree. Repeat this process on each leg of the stand.
This substitute specification contains no new matter.
1. A main object of the invention is to provide vertical straightness and support to large Christmas trees when used with existing commercially available large rebar Christmas tree stands.
2. A further object of the invention, when used with existing commercially available large rebar Christmas tree stands, is to provide vertical stability to the large Christmas tree thereby avoiding falling and possible injury or damage.
3. A still further object of the invention is proved easier set-up and adjustability of large Christmas trees then when using existing with existing commercially available large rebar Christmas tree stands alone.
4. A still further object of the invention is the ease of disassembly and storage for future re-use.
