BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention was to a system to provide liquid bottles for travel purposes.

2. Description of Related Art

Many individuals use commercial airlines for travel and as a consequence security checks are mandatory. More recently in addition to a general metal detecting and baggage search, passengers are required to limit the amount of liquids that they may transport on the airplane. The liquid limitations generally relate to carry-on baggage that is taken on the airplane by the passenger. Individuals may still travel with liquid containers in their checked baggage. However carry-on baggage limits the liquid containers to 3 ounces or less. Further although individuals have the opportunity to carry all liquids in their checked baggage the products may be packaged in the bottles may be bulky and take up excessive space in the luggage. It would therefore be advantageous to have a system so that an individual may have bottles that temporarily store liquids for hygienic purposes such as shampoos, lotions or conditioners and have an opportunity to store these liquids in both their checked baggage and on carry-on baggage.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a travel bottle system comprising: a plurality of portable bottles, where each bottle includes a screw-on receptacle; a plurality of caps provided for placement onto the plurality of bottles; and embedded lettering on each cap for identifying the contents of each respective bottle. The embedded letter may include a single identifying letter. In one particular embodiment, the single letter may be a S, C, L or B. Each bottle may hold a particular volume of liquid, where the volume may range from about 3 ounces to about 10 ounces.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to a system of bottles that are used for travel purposes. The bottle system according to the present invention utilizes various screw-on caps and various size bottles that include screw-on receptacles for filling the liquid contents in the bottles. The bottles come in a variety of sizes to accommodate the travel needs of the user. The screw-on caps include embedded lettering identifying the contents within the bottle for identification purposes. Typically a traveler may travel with shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash and skin lotion. The present invention contemplates an embodiment whereas embedded lettering is provided for screw-on caps associated with bottles used in the system. These bottles are lettered identifying the liquid contents that are placed within the bottle. The bottles may vary in volume size therefore allowing 3-ounce sized bottles for carry-on luggage and larger bottles of 8 ounces or above for any luggage that is checked.

In reference to FIG. 1, a series of screw-on caps are depicted. The screw-on caps depict a single embedded letter to identify the contents of a bottle. As shown in FIG. 1, Cap 10 is identified with the Letter S, Cap 12 is identified with the Letter C, Cap 14 is identified with the Letter B and Cap 16 is identified with the Letter L. These caps may be used in conjunction with plastic bottles as depicted in FIG. 2. FIG. 2 depicts a 3-ounce size Bottle 70, a 10-ounce size Bottle 60 and an 8-ounce size Bottle 50. The particular volumes associated with the bottles are for exemplary purposes and therefore the bottles may be actually manufactured at various volume sizes. Each bottle has a screw-on receptacle or a top to receive the screw-on caps depicted in FIG. 1. Bottle 50 is shown with the top 52 and a container portion 55. Further Bottle 60 has a top 62 with a container portion 65 and Bottle 70 includes a top 72 with container portion 75. Each bottle is available to receive any particular liquid as desired by the user. Once the liquid is inserted in the bottle a designated cap is placed on the bottle identifying the contents of the bottle. Therefore the system in accordance with the present invention provides bottles and identifying means suitable for travel. The bottles are substantially cylindrical and therefore limit space requirements. Further smaller bottles are provided for carry-on luggage as depicted in FIG. 2. This system according to the present invention reduces space requirements for liquids and also provides the identifying means to identify each bottle used in the system. The instant invention has been shown and described in what it considers to be the most practical and preferred embodiments. It is recognized, however, that departures may be made there from within the scope of the invention and that obvious modifications will occur to a person skilled in the art.
