A universal carrier for the transportation of small devices. It consists of thermoformed thermoplastic sheets (FIG. 1-2,3,5) separated by flexible spacers (FIG. 1-4) which are held in place by barrel posts (FIG. 2-6) and screws (FIG. 2-1) attached by a clip (FIG. 2-7) to a belt, waistband, or strap. The embodiments of the Universal Utility Carrier listed will save people time and money in not having to buy a separate carrier for every device that they own.

Frees people from having to purchase model specific carriers and allows them to adjust to different models/brands that exist or will arise in the future.
The Universal Utility Carrier is manufactured using thermoplastic sheets and making thermoforming molds to make the front plate (2), the βUβ shaped center plate (3), and the rear plate (5). Flexible rubber hose, flexible plastic tube, or metal springs are used for the hollow spacers(4).
These materials already exist in the market place. These spacers (4) go over the barrel posts (6) which also already exist in the market place, pass through holes in the center plate (3) and are secured by the screws (1) used for retention pressure adjustments. The belt/strap clip (7) also already exist in the market place.

FIG. 1 shows a perspective front angled view of the first embodiment of the Universal Utility Carrier. The carrier consists of a front plate (2), a center plate (3), and a back plate (5) which are connected by screws (1) that connect to barrel posts (6). The center βUβ shaped plate (3) is kept centered between the front plate (2) and the back plate (5) via the use of spacers (4).
FIG. 2 shows the exploded view of the first embodiment of the Universal Utility Carrier. The carrier consists of a front plate (2), a βUβ shaped center plate (3), and a back plate (5) which are connected by screws (1) that connect to barrel posts (6). The center plate (3) is kept centered between the front plate (2) and the back plate (5) via the use of spacers (4). The belt/strap clip (7) is secured to the back plate (5) via the use of screws (8) and barrel posts (9).
FIG. 3 shows the perspective bottom end view of the first embodiment of the Universal Utility Carrier. The carrier consists of a front plate (2), a βUβ shaped center plate (3), and a back plate (5) which are connected by screws (1) that connect to barrel posts (6). The center plate (3) is kept centered between the front plate (2) and the back plate (5) via the use of spacers (4).
The first embodiment of the Universal Utility Carrier will allow the insertion of any pistol magazine. The βUβ shaped center plate (3) acts as a guide for the magazine and keep it from getting jammed from hitting the spacers (4). Once inserted between the front plate (2) and back plate (5), if the retention pressure is too loose, the user adjusts the screws (1) that connect the barrel posts (6) until the ideal pressure is achieved. Then they attach it to their preferred carrying strap or belt with the use of the belt/strap clip (7). If, at a later point in time, the user switches calibers and wants to carry a different magazine, they insert it once again and readjust the screws (1) for their desired retention pressure, thus saving them from having to buy a whole new and different magazine carrier.
The second embodiment of the Universal Utility Carrier will allow for the transportation of mobile phones and would see the interior sides of the front plate (2) and the back plate (5) lined with individualized choices of fabrics, leathers, or furs. The options are limitless. And when a user changes mobile phones, they simply recalibrate the retention pressure with the screws (1).
A third embodiment of the Universal Utility Carrier would see the omission of the center plate (3) for those small devices just needing to be securely held with no need of exact orientation.
The reader will see the true usefulness of having one carrier that will save them from having to purchase separate carriers for each device that they own. Though various iterations of thermoforming carriers exist today, none use a universal approach and are contingent on make and model.
Different colors and designs on the front plate are envisioned, as well as connecting the front and back plates at the bottom to give a more finished appearance is as well. Additional accessories such as badge holders, pen holders, etc., are also envisioned for the front plate to make it even more utilitarian. Even the manufacturing to enable two devices to be carried on the same carrier is envisioned.
