Abstract:

A hat accessory that includes: an adjustable belt; a series of holes at one end of the belt; and a ornamental buckle, where the ornamental buckle enables the attachment of the belt to a hat. The adjustable belt is adapted for placement around a bottom rim of the hat. The adjustable belt may also be used on a cap, where the ornamental buckle is positioned above a bib of the cap.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a decorative belt buckle and strap used to adorn a conventional hat or cap.

Description of Related Art

Caps and hats are decorated and adorned with various accessories to create a particular fashion and style. Belts and straps have been incorporated in hats and caps over a number of centuries. The common fedora usually includes a strap that wraps around the outer body of the hat to provide a stylish design to the hat. Other belts and straps have been incorporated in various hats again to provide style and looks for various generations. The hat is usually worn for some utilitarian purposes however many hats and caps are worn merely for style and personal preference. As a consequence, it would be advantageous to have various interchangeable belts with buckles incorporated into a hat design to provide a stylish means to create a hat or a cap look.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a hat accessory that includes: an adjustable belt; a series of holes at one end of the belt; and a ornamental buckle, where the ornamental buckle enables the attachment of the belt to a hat. The adjustable belt is adapted for placement around a bottom rim of the hat. The adjustable belt may also be used on a cap, where the ornamental buckle is positioned above a bib of the cap.

FIG. 1 depicts use of a belt buckle and strap in accordance with the present invention incorporated with a cap.

FIG. 2 depicts a buckle and strap used in accordance the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to a buckle and belt arrangement incorporated into a conventional hat or cap to provide a unique design for users. The present invention incorporates various materials to create a small belt or strap. This small belt or strap is used in conjunction with a buckle similar to a conventional belt buckle however on a smaller scale that can incorporate with a conventional cap or hat. The belt is attached to the outside rim of a hat or cap and an ornamental buckle is used to fasten the belt into place along the rim of the hat or cap.

In reference to FIG. 1, a cap 10 is depicted and incorporated a belt 20 in accordance with the present invention. The Cap 10 is a typical baseball-style cap that has a Bib 12 extending from side of a cap portion 14. The cap portion 14 joins to the Bib 12 at a bottom rim of the cap portion 14. Extending around the outer bottom rim is a Belt 20 in accordance with the present invention. The belt 20 is adjustable due to use of a series of holes that are provided along a length of the belt 20. A Buckle 22 is attached to one end of the belt 20. The buckle 22 adjoins to one of the holes provided along the opposite edge of the belt 20. This adjustment capability allows the incorporation of the belt 20 onto various hats and caps as desired by a particular user.

In reference to FIG. 2, the belt 20 and buckle 22 are shown in a more detailed a view. The buckle 22 may include various ornamental designs within the buckle and therefore create a novelty collector's item that may be incorporated on various hats and caps as desired by users. On exemplary use of the ornamental Buckle 22 may include sports logos or other insignias for sports enthusiasts. The advantage of using the present invention is that the belt may be incorporated on various types of hats and caps and therefore the ornamental insignia that is provided on the buckle is therefore created and incorporated in various hats and caps as desired by the user. The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The exemplary embodiment was chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A hat accessory comprising:

a. an adjustable belt;

b. a series of holes at one end of the belt; and

c. a ornamental buckle, where the ornamental buckle enables the attachment of the belt to a hat.

2. The hat accessory according to claim 1, where the adjustable belt is adapted for placement around a bottom rim of the hat.

3. A cap accessory comprising:

a. an adjustable belt;

b. a series of holes at one end of the belt; and

c. a ornamental buckle, where the ornamental buckle enables the attachment of the belt to a cap.

4. The cap accessory according to claim 3, where the adjustable belt is adapted for placement around a bottom rim of the cap.

5. The cap accessory according to claim 4, where the ornamental buckle is positioned above a bib of the cap.
