Abstract:

A hair straightener heating element comprises: a base, a working plate, a heating sheet, a thermal insulation sheet, and a silica gel pad. The base is provided with an accommodation groove thereon. The silica gel pad is arranged in the accommodation groove. The thermal insulation sheet is fitted into the silica gel pad. The heating sheet is arranged on the thermal insulation sheet. The working plate has an inverted β€œU” shape, and cooperates with the base to sandwich the heating sheet, the thermal insulation sheet and the silica gel pad between the working plate and the base. The heating sheet is attached and matches a bottom surface of the working plate. The heating element separates a frame and a working plate into two devices, and provides a good contact between a heating sheet and the working plate so as to be isolated from the frame. The heating sheet immediately conducts heat to the working plate, and rapidly raises the temperature of the working plate, thereby enhancing a heating rate.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to a heating element and, in particular, to a hair straightener heating element.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The working principle of a hair straightener is to use an electrical current to heat up the heating element of a hair straightener. The heat is transmitted to an aluminum plate or ceramic plate for heating.

The function of a hair straightener is to straighten hair. Its heating element heats up and softens the hair, followed by cooling to straighten a person's hair. The heating element is the core element in a hair straightener. It plays an important role in the efficiency and convenience of the hair straightener.

Due to the structural restrictions of the heating element, there is usually no tight and smooth connection between the heating element and the aluminum plate. At the same time, the aluminum plate is used as the core support and working plate of the heating element. This requires the use of a huge amount of heat to maintain the temperature of the support in order to transfer the heat to the outer surface (working plate) of the aluminum plate. Such a great loss in heat transfer, the thermal conduction rate between the heating element and the outer surface of the aluminum plate is small. The entire heating element thus has an unsatisfactorily slow temperature increase.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An objective of the invention is to overcome the drawbacks in the existing hair straightener heating element by providing a heating element with a higher temperature increasing rate.

The disclosed hair straightener heating element includes: a base, a working plate, a heating sheet, a thermal insulation sheet, and a silica gel pad. The base is provided with an accommodation groove thereon. The silica gel pad is arranged in the accommodation groove. The thermal insulation sheet is fitted into the silica gel pad. The heating sheet is arranged on the thermal insulation sheet. The working plate has an inverted U shape, and cooperates with the base to sandwich the heating sheet, the thermal insulation sheet, and the silica gel pad between the working plate and the base. The heating sheet is attached and matches a bottom surface of the working plate.

Another embodiment of the disclosed hair straightener heating element includes: a base, a working plate, a heating sheet, and a thermal insulation sheet. The thermal insulation sheet is fitted onto the base. The heating sheet is disposed on the thermal insulation sheet. The working plate matches the base so that the thermal insulation sheet and the heating sheet are sandwiched between the working plate and the base. The heating sheet is attached and matches a bottom surface of the working plate.

Yet another embodiment of the disclosed hair straightener heating element includes: a working plate, an outer fixture, a base, a silica gel pad, a heating sheet, and a thermal insulation sheet. The base is fixed inside the outer fixture. The silica gel pad is disposed on the base. The thermal insulation sheet is disposed on the silica gel pad. The heating plate is disposed on the thermal insulation sheet. The working plate is fitted into the outer fixture, with the upper surface thereof aligned with the upper surface of the outer fixture. The silica gel pad, the heating plate, and the thermal insulation sheet are sandwiched between the working plate and the base. The heating sheet is attached and matches a bottom surface of the working plate.

According to the invention, the support and the working plate are divided into two parts in the heating element. At the same time, the heating sheet and the working plate have good thermal contact while separated from the support. Therefore, the heating sheet only needs to transfer heat to the working plate. This mechanism increases the temperature of the working plate at a faster rate than the prior art.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The aforementioned and other objectives and advantages of this disclosure will become clearer in light of the following detailed description of an illustrative embodiment of this invention described in connection with the drawings.

First Embodiment

As shown in FIG. 1, this embodiment of the invention includes a base 1, a working plate 13, a heating sheet 7, a thermal simulation plate 4, and a silica gel pad 10. The base 1 is provided with an accommodation groove. The silica gel pad 10 is disposed inside the accommodation groove. The thermal insulation sheet 4 is fitted into the silica gel pad 10. The heating sheet 7 is disposed on the thermal insulation sheet 4. The working plate 13 has an inverted U shape, and cooperates with the base 1 to sandwich the heating sheet 7, the thermal insulation sheet 4, the silica gel pad 10 between the working plate 13 and the base 1. The heating sheet 7 is attached and matches a bottom surface of the working plate 13.

Second Embodiment

As shown in FIG. 2, this embodiment of the invention includes a base 2, a working plate 14, a heating sheet 8, and a thermal insulation sheet 5. The thermal insulation sheet 5 is fitted into the base 2. The heating sheet 8 is disposed on the thermal insulation sheet 5. The working plate 14 cooperates with the base 2 to sandwich the thermal insulation sheet 5 and the heating sheet 8 between the working plate 14 and the base 2. The heating sheet 8 is attached and matches a bottom surface of the working plate 14.

Third Embodiment

As shown in FIG. 3, this embodiment of the invention includes a working plate 15, an outer fixture 12, a base 3, a silica gel pad 11, a heating sheet 9, and a thermal insulation sheet 6. The base 3 is fixed inside the outer fixture 12. The silica gel pad 11 is disposed on the base 3. The thermal insulation sheet 6 is disposed on the silica gel pad 11. The heating sheet 9 is disposed on the thermal insulation sheet 6. The working plate 15 is fitted into the outer fixture, with the upper surface of the working plate 15 aligned with the upper surface of the outer fixture 12. The working plate 15 cooperates with the base 3 to sandwich the silica gel pad 11, the heating sheet 9, and the thermal insulation sheet 6 in between. The heating sheet 9 is attached and matches a bottom surface of the working plate 15.

While the invention is described in some detail hereinbelow with reference to certain illustrated embodiments, it is to be understood that there is no intent to limit it to those embodiments. On the contrary, the aim is to cover all modifications, alternatives and equivalents falling within the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A hair straightener heating element, comprising a base, a working plate, a heating sheet, a thermal insulation sheet, and a silica gel pad; wherein the base is provided with an accommodation groove, the silica gel pad is disposed inside the accommodation groove, the thermal insulation sheet is fitted to the silica gel pad, the heating sheet is disposed on the thermal insulation sheet, the working plate has an inverted U shape and cooperates with the base to sandwich the heating sheet, the thermal insulation sheet, and the silica gel pad in between, and the heating sheet is attached and matches a bottom surface of the working plate.

2. A hair straightener heating element, comprising a base, a working plate, a heating sheet, and a thermal insulation sheet; wherein the thermal insulation sheet is fitted to the base, the heating sheet is disposed on the thermal insulation sheet, the working plate cooperates with the base to sandwich the thermal insulation sheet and the heating sheet in between, and the heating sheet is attached and matches a bottom surface of the working plate.

3. A hair straightener heating element, comprising the working plate, an outer fixture, a base, a silica gel pad, a heating sheet, and a thermal insulation sheet; wherein the base is fixed inside the outer fixture, the silica gel pad is disposed on the base, the thermal insulation sheet is disposed on the silica gel pad, the heating sheet is disposed on the thermal insulation sheet, the working plate is fitted inside the outer fixture with the upper surface of the working plate aligned with the upper surface of the outer fixture, the working plate cooperates with the base to sandwich the silica gel pad, the heating sheet, and the thermal insulation sheet in between, and the heating sheet is attached and matches a bottom surface of the working plate.
