A magnetic phone case includes a phone pouch, a magnet, a notch, and a phone insertion opening. The phone pouch that secures the mobile phone includes a rear panel, a front panel, and a lateral panel, wherein the front panel is connected to the rear panel by the lateral panel. The phone insertion opening is delineated within the front panel, the rear panel, and the lateral panel so that the user can insert the mobile phone. The magnet is internally connected within the front panel to magnetically attached and securely hold the mobile phone within the phone pouch. The notch traverses into the front panel about the phone insertion opening thus allowing the user to outwardly push out the front panel so that the magnetic attachment can be separated and mobile phone can be pulled out.

The present invention generally relates to a phone case that attaches to user's belt or trousers. More specifically, the present invention is able to magnetically secure a phone within and eliminate the traditional flap that prevent the stored phone from falling out.
Phone cases are commonly used to carry mobile phones or designed to protect mobile phones from drops and scratches. Existing phone cases generally includes rubberized padding, and/or are made of plastic and without exposed rigid corners to fully protect the mobile phones. In the existing market, there are two main types of phone cases that caters the consumers. First, users can use a carrying phone case to protect their mobile phone wherein the users have to hold the phone case or put the phone case in garment-pocket. Second, users can use an attached-phone case to protect their mobile phone wherein the attached-phone case mounts to user's belt or trousers. However, existing attached-phone cases are cumbersome and difficult to operate. More specifically, users generally have to open a flap that is connected to the attached-phone case so that the mobile phone can be accessed and pulled out. Furthermore, improper closing of the flap or the breakdown of the flap can lead into accidental dislodging of the mobile phone.
It is therefore an objective of the present invention to provide a magnetic phone case that firmly secures a mobile phone within. Furthermore, the present invention eliminates the traditional flap that is connected to phone cases thus providing quick and easy access to the mobile phone.

The present invention is a magnetic phone case that generally attaches to user's belt or trousers. The mobile phone explained herein after can be any types of mobile phone that may or may not include a protective phone case. The present invention eliminates the traditional flap that is generally connected to phone cases to prevent falling out of the mobile phone. As a result, the present invention is able to provide quick and easy access to the mobile phone. As shown in FIG. 1, the present invention comprises a phone pouch 1, at least one magnet 11, a notch 13, and a phone insertion opening 14.
In reference to the general configuration of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 1-2, the phone pouch 1 that secures the mobile phone comprises a rear panel 2, a front panel 5, and a lateral panel 10. The phone pouch 1 is generally rectangular in shape as the front panel 5 is connected to the rear panel 2 by the lateral panel 10. More specifically, the rear panel 2 is adjacently positioned to the user's body and the front panel 5 is offset from the user's body. The lateral panel 10 continuously stretches around three side of the front panel 5 so that the front panel 5 can be connected to the rear panel 2. The phone insertion opening 14 is delineated within the front panel 5, the rear panel 2, and the lateral panel 10 so that the mobile phone can be inserted in the phone pouch 1 or pulled out from the phone pouch 1 via the phone insertion opening 14. The magnet 11 is internally connected and hidden within the front panel 5 to secure the mobile phone within the phone pouch 1. To ensure that the mobile phone magnetically attaches with the magnet 11, a rear wall of the mobile phone is retrofitted with a metal plate. As a result, the mobile phone is able to magnetically attach with the magnet 11 when inserted into the phone pouch 1. The notch 13 traverses into the front panel 5 about the phone insertion opening 14 thus giving an empty space to place user's finger against the mobile phone to separate the magnetic attraction between the magnet 11 and the metal plate. Once the magnetic attraction is separated, the user can easily pull the mobile phone from the phone pouch 1.
In reference to FIGS. 1-3, the front panel 5 comprising a left edge 6, a right edge 7, a bottom edge 8, and a top edge 9. More specifically, the left edge 6 and the right edge 7 are oppositely positioned of each other about the front panel 5. The top edge 9 and the bottom edge 8 are oppositely positioned of each other about the front panel 5. The left edge 6 and the right edge 7 are perpendicularly positioned with the top edge 9 and bottom edge 8 thus delineating the rectangular shape of the front panel 5. In reference to FIG. 4, the rear panel 2 is also formed into rectangular shape and comprises a top edge 3 and a bottom edge 4. Furthermore, the top edge 9 of the front panel 5 is positioned adjacent to the top edge 3 of the rear panel 2, and the bottom edge 8 of the front panel 5 is positioned adjacent to the bottom edge 4 of the rear panel 2. As a result, the left edge 6, the bottom edge 8 of the front panel 5, and the right edge 7 are terminally connected to the rear panel 2 by the lateral panel 10 thus assembling the phone pouch 1.
In reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 4, the phone insertion opening 14 is delineated in between the top edge 9 of the front panel 5, and the rear panel 2, and the lateral panel 10. The phone insertion opening 14 is generally formed into a rectangular shape opening to insert or pull out the mobile phone. More specifically, the lateral panel 10 comprises a first free edge and a second free edge. The first free edge is positioned adjacent to the top edge 9 of the front panel 5 and perpendicularly extended from the left edge 6 to the rear panel 2. The second free edge is positioned adjacent to the top edge 9 of the front panel 5 and perpendicularly extended from the right edge 7 to the rear panel 2. As a result, the phone insertion opening 14 is defined by the first free edge, the top edge 9 of the front panel 5, the second free edge, and the rear panel 2.
In reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 3, the notch 13 is a cutout from the top edge 9 of front panel 5 that extends towards the bottom edge 8 of the front panel 5. In other words, the notch 13 traverses into the front panel 5 from the top edge 9 as the notch 13 is centrally positioned with the top edge 9. The notch 13 allows the user to place their finger against the mobile phone to separate the magnetic attraction between the magnet 11 and the metal plate of the mobile phone.
In reference to FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, the magnet 11 is centrally positioned in between the left edge 6, the right edge 7, the bottom edge 8, and the top edge 9 so that the mobile phone can be balanced within the phone pouch 1. More specifically, the central positioning of the magnet 11 ensure that the mobile phone does not slide towards the left edge 6 or the right edge 7 prior to the magnetic attraction. As a result, the phone pouch 1 is generally positioned vertical to the user's body and does not tilt forward or backward when attached to the user's belt or trousers.
In order to compensate for different phone thicknesses, the lateral panel 10 is made of elastic material so that the distance between the rear panel 2 and the front panel can adjust according to the thickness of the mobile phone. Furthermore, due to the elasticity of the lateral panel 10, the front panel 5 and the rear panel 2 are able to squeeze and secure the mobile phone within the phone pouch 1.
In reference to FIG. 2 and FIG. 5, the present invention further comprises a swivel mount 12 that allows the phone pouch 1 to be mounted to the user's belt or trousers. The swivel mount 12 can be any type of industry standard phone mount that allows 360 degrees of rotation once mounted to the user's belt or trousers. More specifically, the swivel mount 12 is externally connected to the rear panel 2 and oriented towards the user's body. The swivel mount 12 and the front panel 5 are oppositely positioned of each other about the rear panel 2 thus outwardly orienting the phone insertion opening 14.
In reference to FIG. 5, the present invention further comprises a first height 15 and a second height 16. The first height 15 is delineated from the bottom edge 8 of the front panel 5 to the top edge 9 of the front panel 5. The second height 16 is delineated from the bottom edge 4 of the rear panel 2 to the top edge 3 of the rear panel 2. The second height 16 is larger than the first height 15, wherein the height of the front panel 5 is smaller than the height of the rear panel 2. As a result, mobile phone does not get fully covered by the phone pouch 1 as a portion of the mobile phone sticks above the top edge 9 of the front panel 5. The user can easily and securely grasp the mobile phone due to the height different between the first height 15 and the second height 16. This allows the user to properly utilize the functionality of the notch 13 to separate the magnetically attached front panel 5 away from the mobile phone during the pullout of the mobile phone.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
1. A magnetic phone case comprising:
a phone pouch;
at least one magnet;
a notch;
a phone insertion opening:
the phone pouch comprising a rear panel, a front panel, and a lateral panel;
the front panel being connected to the rear panel by the lateral panel;
the phone insertion opening being delineated within the front panel, the rear panel, and the lateral panel;
the magnet being internally connected within the front panel; and
the notch traversing into the front panel about the phone insertion opening.
2. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 1 comprising:
the front panel comprising a left edge, a right edge, a bottom edge, and a top edge;
the left edge and the right edge being oppositely positioned of each other about the front panel;
the top edge and the bottom edge being oppositely positioned of each other about the front panel;
the left edge and the right edge being perpendicularly positioned with the top edge and bottom edge; and
the left edge, the bottom edge, and the right edge being terminally connected to the rear panel by the lateral panel.
3. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 1 comprising:
the front panel comprising a top edge; and
the phone insertion opening being delineated in between the top edge, the rear panel, and the lateral panel.
4. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 1 comprising:
the front panel comprising a top edge;
the notch traversing into the front panel from the top edge; and
the notch being centrally positioned with the top edge.
5. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 1 comprising:
the front panel comprising a left edge, a right edge, a bottom edge, and a top edge; and
the magnet being centrally positioned in between the left edge, the right edge, the bottom edge, and the top edge.
6. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 1, wherein the lateral panel being an elastic panel.
7. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 1 comprising:
a swivel mount;
the swivel mount being externally connected to the rear panel; and
the swivel mount and the front panel being oppositely positioned of each other about the rear panel.
8. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 1 comprising:
a first height;
a second height;
the front panel comprising a bottom edge and a top edge;
the rear panel comprising a bottom edge and a top edge;
the first height being delineated from the bottom edge of the front panel to the top edge of the front panel;
the second height being delineated from the bottom edge of the rear panel to the top edge of the rear panel; and
the second height being larger than the first height.
9. A magnetic phone case comprising:
a phone pouch;
at least one magnet;
a notch;
a phone insertion opening:
a swivel mount;
the phone pouch comprising a rear panel, a front panel, and a lateral panel;
the front panel being connected to the rear panel by the lateral panel;
the phone insertion opening being delineated within the front panel, the rear panel, and the lateral panel;
the magnet being internally connected within the front panel;
the notch traversing into the front panel about the phone insertion opening;
the swivel mount being externally connected to the rear panel; and
the swivel mount and the front panel being oppositely positioned of each other about the rear panel.
10. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 9 comprising:
the front panel comprising a left edge, a right edge, a bottom edge, and a top edge;
the left edge and the right edge being oppositely positioned of each other about the front panel;
the top edge and the bottom edge being oppositely positioned of each other about the front panel;
the left edge and the right edge being perpendicularly positioned with the top edge and bottom edge; and
the left edge, the bottom edge, and the right edge being terminally connected to the rear panel by the lateral panel.
11. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 9 comprising:
the front panel comprising a top edge; and
the phone insertion opening being delineated in between the top edge, the rear panel, and the lateral panel.
12. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 9 comprising:
the front panel comprising a top edge;
the notch traversing into the front panel from the top edge; and
the notch being centrally positioned with the top edge.
13. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 9 comprising:
the front panel comprising a left edge, a right edge, a bottom edge, and a top edge; and
the magnet being centrally positioned in between the left edge, the right edge, the bottom edge, and the top edge.
14. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 9, wherein the lateral panel being an elastic panel.
15. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 9 comprising:
a first height;
a second height;
the front panel comprising a bottom edge and a top edge;
the rear panel comprising a bottom edge and a top edge;
the first height being delineated from the bottom edge of the front panel to the top edge of the front panel;
the second height being delineated from the bottom edge of the rear panel to the top edge of the rear panel; and
the second height being larger than the first height.
16. A magnetic phone case comprising:
a phone pouch;
at least one magnet;
a notch;
a phone insertion opening:
a swivel mount;
the phone pouch comprising a rear panel, a front panel, and a lateral panel;
the front panel being connected to the rear panel by the lateral panel;
the phone insertion opening being delineated within the front panel, the rear panel, and the lateral panel;
the magnet being internally connected within the front panel;
the notch traversing into the front panel about the phone insertion opening;
the swivel mount being externally connected to the rear panel;
the swivel mount and the front panel being oppositely positioned of each other about the rear panel; and
the lateral panel being an elastic panel.
17. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 16 comprising:
the front panel comprising a left edge, a right edge, a bottom edge, and a top edge;
the left edge and the right edge being oppositely positioned of each other about the front panel;
the top edge and the bottom edge being oppositely positioned of each other about the front panel;
the left edge and the right edge being perpendicularly positioned with the top edge and bottom edge;
the left edge, the bottom edge, and the right edge being terminally connected to the rear panel by the lateral panel; and
the phone insertion opening being delineated in between the top edge, the rear panel, and the lateral panel.
18. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 16 comprising:
the front panel comprising a top edge;
the notch traversing into the front panel from the top edge; and
the notch being centrally positioned with the top edge.
19. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 16 comprising:
the front panel comprising a left edge, a right edge, a bottom edge, and a top edge; and
the magnet being centrally positioned in between the left edge, the right edge, the bottom edge, and the top edge.
20. The magnetic phone case as claimed in claim 16 comprising:
a first height;
a second height;
the front panel comprising a bottom edge and a top edge;
the rear panel comprising a bottom edge and a top edge;
the first height being delineated from the bottom edge of the front panel to the top edge of the front panel;
the second height being delineated from the bottom edge of the rear panel to the top edge of the rear panel; and
the second height being larger than the first height.
