Typically, once a can such as a beer has been opened, it cannot be resealed without extensive equipment by a manufacturer. The sharp edges of an open can are harmful to infants and can cause the beverage to be contaminated by external material. The apparatus will be designed with various figures and logos of other companies for marketing purposes and can be used as collectables and puzzle pieces. The device will also include a sharp edge for “shot-gunning” beers for recreational purposes. It will be appreciated by users that the apparatus will be utilized to reseal the opening of can and protect users from various harmful conditions as well as slow down decarbonization.
The embodiment allows consumers to use the device as a method of protecting against foreign substances and concealing the can after being opened. This specification recognizes that there is a necessity for an appealing device that covers and seals the opening of previously opened cans that can also be utilized for marketing purposes. It will be appreciated that the device can be designed for various sized opening of cans known in the art.
Thus, in view of the above, there is a long-felt need in the industry to address the aforementioned deficiencies and inadequacies.
Further limitations and disadvantages of traditional approaches will become apparent to one of skill in the art, through comparison of described embodiments with some aspects of the present disclosure, as set forth in the remainder of the present application and with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 is a perspective image of a can with the cap device (1) positioned along the opening of the can (2), in accordance with at least one embodiment. The cap device (1) is shown with the device siting in a vertical position along the top edge of the can (2). The image shows a depiction of a chicken as a marketing feature as the device (1). The can's releasing tab (6) is shown in a relaxed position adjacent to the cap apparatus (1).
FIG. 2 is a side view of the apparatus (1) resting along the top of the can (2) while securely attached within the opening of the can (5). In a nonlimiting example, the K-cap device can be manufactured utilizing any suitable material known in the art, but preferably rubber and plastic.
FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the cap device (1) inserted in the can (2) in a sealed manner to slow down decarbonation. The bottom insertion portion of said device will include a surface of the top portion, there is a rubber base (11) that creates a seal when compressed to the adjacent surface of the can's opening (5). A screw apparatus (9) is shown positioned through the middle of the flat compression plane (8), that has at least two legs (10a, 10b) positioned towards the top inside surface (12) of the can (2). The at least two legs (10a, 10b) have at least two retractable springs (15a, 15b) that are attached to the adjacent flat compression plane (8). In a nonlimiting example, when the screw apparatus (9) is rotated clock-wise, the legs (10a, 10b) are pushed in an up and outward direction to apply pressure to the inner surface (13) adjacent to the opening (5) to form a seal. In order to release the pressure, the user can simply rotate the screw in a counter-clockwise direction and the pressure seal formed by the rubber base (11) will be released and legs will be retracted in a vertical position, and the user can safely remove the K-cap device (1) from the can (2). The flat compression plane (8) will include a center aperture (16) that allows the screw apparatus (9) to be inserted through the center of the flat compression plane (8) for ease of rotation. The depiction also shows a spiked edge (17) to allow users to pierce beer cans for “shot-gunning” beers during celebrations such as sporting events. The spiked edge will be made from material known for spiking cans. In an embodiment, the apparatus is easily washable and can be cleaned in a dishwasher or manually washed.
