Smart Summary: A fedora hat has a special hidden zipper that connects the top part of the hat to its brim. This feature allows you to easily change the top part for different styles, colors, or materials. A flap covers the zipper so it stays out of sight while you wear the hat. Additionally, a belt around the flap helps keep everything secure and hidden. This design makes it fun and versatile to wear a fedora in many different ways. 🚀 TL;DR
An interchangeable fedora that has a hidden zipper between the main unit and the brim of the fedora. The zipper allows the wearer of the fedora to zip off the cranial unit and attach a different cranial unit that is of different material, style, color, or patterns. The zipper is hidden by way of a flap with is positioned around the main unit of the fedora which is placed over the wearers head. The fedora has a belt that is around the flap that further ensure the zipper and removeable mechanism of the fedora remain hidden from view when in use.

The field of the present invention relates generally to a fashion accessory. More particularly, the present invention is a fedora with interchangeable cranial unit.
Many people chose to dress up their outfit by using accessories. Many opt to add a hat, scarf, or any piece of jewelry to add to their outfit. As many outfits usually have a color theme to them, people often opt to have their accessories be within the same color theme as that of the clothes they are wearing. Sometimes people opt to wear a neutral-colored accessory that has a small touch of color instead of the accessory being an all over color. There are many colors one can chose from, and even once a color is chosen, there are ample shades to chose from. This can cause a user to have to have multiples of the same pieces in various colors and shades to have accessories to suit every outfit.
It is an objective of the present invention to provide a fedora that has a removable brim by way of a zipper. By having a zipper hidden between the brim and the main unit, it can allow the user of the fedora to change out the cranial unit of the fedora to opt for a different color. Further, the fedora also has a belt placed right where the zipper is positioned. The belt can also be interchangeable to allow for additional variations of the fedora.

All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. The present invention is to be described in detail and is provided in a manner that establishes a thorough understanding of the present invention. There may be aspects of the present invention that may be practiced or utilized without the implementation of some features as they are described. It should be understood that some details have not been described in detail in order to not unnecessarily obscure focus of the invention. References herein to “the preferred embodiment”, “one embodiment”, “some embodiments”, or “alternative embodiments” should be considered to be illustrating aspects of the present invention that may potentially vary in some instances, and should not be considered to be limiting to the scope of the present invention as a whole.
In reference to FIGS. 1-8, the present invention is an interchangeable fedora 1 that is designed to have the brim 5 zipped off to allow a cranial unit 2 of a different color to be attached. By having the cranial unit 2 be detachable, it allows the wearer to attach a cranial unit 2 of a different color, different material, or different pattern so that one does not need to buy a plethora of fedoras, all in a different color. The interchangeable fedora 1 comprises a cranial unit 2, a zipper 3, a flap 4, a belt 6, and a brim 5. The cranial unit 2 has a top surface 11. The cranial unit 2 has a cylindrically oval base wall 12. The cylindrically over base wall 12 is needed to be cylindrically oval to allow the cranial unit 2 to be placed over the skull of the wearer. The cylindrically oval base wall 12 has an upper end 13 and a lower end 14. The top surface 11 of the cranial unit 2 is diametrically positioned on the upper end 13 of the cylindrically oval base wall 12, forming the main structure of the interchangeable fedora 1.
The zipper 3 is perimetrically positioned around the lower end 14 of the cylindrically oval base wall 12. The zipper 3 has a first interlocking unit 34 and a second interlocking unit 36. The first interlocking unit 34 and the second interlocking each having a plurality of teeth 35. A small gap exists between each of the plurality of teeth 35. The plurality of teeth 35 from the first interlocking unit 34 are designed to be positioned with the small gap between the plurality of teeth 35 from the second interlocking unit 36 when the zipper 3 is in the closed position, this keeps the cranial unit 2 and the brim 5 securely attached to one another while is use. The plurality of teeth 35 traverse the length of the first interlocking unit 34 and the second interlocking unit 36. The zipper 3 further comprises a zipper pull 31. The zipper pull 31 comprises a handle 32 and a gliding body 33. The zipper pull 31 is centrally attached to the gliding body 33. By being centrally attached, it allows the gliding body 33 to be pulled uniformly to ensure the zipper 3 does not get caught and zips properly. The gliding body 33 is slidably attached to the first interlocking unit 34 and the second interlocking unit 36. The gliding body 33 is slidably attached to both interlocking units to allow them to be zipped together when the wearer wants to connect the brim 5 to the cranial unit 2.
The brim 5 has a lip 51. The brim 5 has an exposed edge 51 and an attached edge 53. The lip 51 is perimetrically positioned around the exposed edge 51 of the brim 5. The attached edge 53 is perpendicularly attached to the lower end 14 of the cylindrically oval base wall 12. The flap 4 has an external surface 41 and an internal surface 42. The internal surface 42 rests over the zipper 3. By resting over the zipper 3, it conceals the zipper 3 so it is not overly obvious that there is a zipper 3 between the brim 5 and the cranial unit 2. The flap 4 is perimetrically positioned around the zipper 3 where it meets the cylindrically oval base wall 12 of the cranial unit 2. The flap 4 ensures the zipper 3 is hidden during wear.
The belt 6 comprises a buckle 61, a strap 66, and a plurality of holes 67. The buckle 61 further comprises a frame 62, a bar 63, and a prong 64. The frame 62 is formed by two sets of parallel walls forming a rectangular shape. The frame 62 bears its rectangular shape by having one set of parallel walls longer in length than the other. The bar 63 is centrally positioned between the longer set of parallel walls. The prong 64 is mobile while being connected to the bar 63 which allows it to be rotated about the bar 63 when it is needed to be hooked into one of the plurality of holes 67 to adjust the length of the strap 66. The strap 66 has a secured end 72 and a tail end 72. The secured end 72 is wrapped around the bar 63 to keep it stationary when being adjusted to make the belt 6 longer in length or shorter in length around the cranial unit 2. The plurality of holes 67 are positioned on the tail end 72 of the strap 66. The prong 64 is centrally connected to the bar 63.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter.
