Description

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

The present application claims priority to, and the benefit of, U.S. Provisional Application No. 63/555,423, which was filed on Feb. 20, 2024, and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to the field of makeup applicators. More specifically, the present invention relates to an adhesive eyebrow stencil device designed for conveniently and accurately applying eyebrow tint and shadowing. The present invention features a sheet with perforated adhesive stickers that form a guided perimeter of the eyebrow region for makeup application and other cosmetic facial procedures. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.

BACKGROUND

When applying makeup or conducting any cosmetic facial procedure, precision is paramount to achieving a successful outcome. The accidental application of makeup to an unwanted region of the face can ruin the entire process of the makeup application, costing additional time, effort, and resources to correct the error. These costs to individuals and businesses offering makeup applications or cosmetic facial procedures mitigate productivity and decrease the quality of the experience. Current techniques for certain precision eyebrow makeup applications, such as eyebrow tattooing, can be expensive and painful, deterring individuals from engaging in such services.

Further, proper makeup application requires that fine motor skills be intact to achieve a level of desirable precision and accuracy. Individuals with fine motor impairments due to chronic or congenital diseases, such as, but not limited to, idiopathic parkinsonism or cerebral palsy, may be excluded from engaging in this process, inhibiting their independence and quality of life. Moreover, the rate of fine motor skill impairment disorders is rising in the United States, underscoring the need for increased products that enable individuals to maintain their independence in executing daily activities for living (ADLs).

Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a device that provides an improved eyebrow makeup application process. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for an adhesive eyebrow stencil device. Further, there exists a long-felt need in the art for an adhesive eyebrow stencil device that can be used to accurately and quickly apply eyebrow makeup in the proper shape and formation without damaging the skin. In addition, there exists a long-felt need in the art for an adhesive eyebrow stencil device that can be used to conveniently apply eyebrow makeup and tint in a disposable manner, not requiring the use of expensive or unnecessary tools. Further, there exists a long-felt need in the art for an adhesive eyebrow stencil device that accelerates the process of eyebrow makeup application by limiting the possibility of makeup application mistakes with increased protection of guided perimeters around the eyebrow, saving time and resources.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises an adhesive eyebrow stencil device. The device is comprised of a sheet with a series of stickers with perforated edges that can be removed and placed onto the surrounding skin of the eyebrow. The stickers are in the relative shape of the brow bone, but for stylistic preference, there may be any such shape known in the art suitable for different eyebrow types. At least one, but most often two, stickers will be applied to the bottom and top perimeters of the eyebrow, forming a guided perimeter for eyebrow makeup application. The sticker holds to the surface of the skin with a synthetic adhesive glue that is non-damaging to facial skin and may be conveniently and painlessly removed by the user. The sheet may be of any size but is preferably no larger than a sheet of typical office paper. Upon fulfillment of use, the stickers may be disposed of and the sheet with the remaining stickers may be stored for future use.

In this manner, the adhesive eyebrow stencil device of the present invention accomplishes all the foregoing objectives and provides an improved eyebrow makeup application process. More specifically, the device can be used to create a guided perimeter around the eyebrow to mitigate the possibility of unwanted makeup application to the surrounding skin. In addition, the device can be used to save time, effort, and resources in the eyebrow makeup application process for individuals and businesses. Further, the device can be used to assist individuals with fine motor skill impairments, allowing them to maintain more independence in their activities of daily living (ADLs).

SUMMARY

The following presents a simplified summary to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises an adhesive eyebrow stencil device comprised of a sheet with adhesive guide stickers with perforations that may be easily removable and placed onto the surrounding skin of the eyebrow. Once the guide sticker is placed onto the surrounding skin of the eyebrow, the user may begin to apply makeup to the eyebrow within the borders of the adhesive guide sticker or stickers for sufficient tinting and color fill without risk of applying materials outside of the designed area. Upon use fulfillment, the sticker or stickers may be removed and disposed of, and the sheet with the remaining stickers may be stored for future use.

The device is comprised of a sheet. The sheet features a series of guide stickers that have perforated edges that permit their convenient and accessible removal and safe placement onto the surrounding skin of the eyebrow. The guide stickers are preferably comprised of a vinyl material and may be any color. The bottom surface of the guide sticker may be peeled off the sheet and placed onto the surrounding skin of the eyebrow by an adhesive agent. The adhesive is preferably comprised of a synthetic adhesive agent that is non-damaging to facial skin and may be conveniently and painlessly removed by the user. The sheet may be of any size but is preferably no larger than a sheet of office paper.

The device is designed for use with at least one guide sticker, but in many embodiments, will feature two guide stickers, where the top edge of the guide sticker is alongside the bottom outline of the eyebrow, and the bottom edge of the second guide sticker is placed alongside the top perimeter of the eyebrow. Together the stickers form a guided perimeter of the eyebrow, thereby preventing accidental placement of makeup or tint outside of the intended shape of the eyebrow. The user may then use this perimeter to fill in the intended amount and location of makeup to the eyebrow without risk of wrongful placement.

The present invention is also comprised of a method of using the device, as seen in First, a device is provided comprised of a sheet with adhesive guide stickers with perforations that may be easily removable and placed onto the surrounding skin of the eyebrow. Then, the user may utilize the newly shaped perimeter of the eyebrow to apply any amount or type of makeup tint, powder, or paste to the eyebrow, using at least one guide sticker and its top edge and/or bottom edge to outline the intended region of the eyebrow. Then, upon completion of the makeup application, the guide sticker is peeled from the skin of the user, and disposed of in a painless, single-step process. Then, the sheet with the remaining guide stickers may be placed in storage for the next available use purpose.

Accordingly, the adhesive eyebrow stencil device of the present invention is particularly advantageous as it provides an improved eyebrow makeup application device. More specifically, the device can be used to quickly and disposably apply a guide perimeter to the shape of an eyebrow, therefore removing the possibility of accidentally applying makeup to an unwanted part of the face outside of the guide perimeter. In addition, the device can be used to accelerate the process of cosmetic eyebrow procedures, enabling individuals and businesses known in the art of eyebrow makeup and facial enhancement services to expedite processes that are presently unnecessarily time-consuming. In this manner, the adhesive eyebrow stencil device overcomes the limitations of existing headstones known in the art.
