Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a bathtub splash guard. More particularly, the present invention relates to a detachable and washable bathtub splash guard to prevent water from splashing out of the bathtub onto the floor.

There are garden variety of splash guards ranging from a simple fixture to a complete set of apparatus for a child. The present invention is geared toward convenience and safety of the splash guard.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing background, the present invention offers a new and novel concept that users are able to remove the splash guard from a bathtub and fully wash and dry it whenever necessary. This prevents the splash guard from becoming filthy, smelly and a breeding ground for bacteria. There exists a splash guard that is detachable and washable. However, they are made of non-eco friendly material. These splash guards are usually in a hard plastic with sharp edges. The present invention is to create a product that is non-toxic and safe.

Some splash guards are permanently mounted to the rim of a bathtub which is inconvenient for adults getting in and out of the shower who must step over the barrier. Removable splash guards such as the present invention would be a better option. Another issue this invention addresses is the hazard of getting tripped from the outwardly protruding tray. A splash guard extending into the interior of the bathtub of the present invention is a better option. Eco-friendly non-toxic material is a must for an apparatus used by children. The present invention allows for the product to be taken off, fold in half for easy storage or to be washed in the dishwasher.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a splash guard in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention will now be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which preferred embodiments of the invention are shown. This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiment set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete, and will fully convey the scope of the invention to those skilled in the art.
