This application claims priority to Chinese patent application number 202420853084.2, filed on Apr. 23, 2024. Chinese patent application number 202420853084.2 is incorporated herein by reference.
The present disclosure relates to the field of furniture, and specifically relates to a multi-size folding table with a stable structure.
Existing foldable tables with adjustable dimensions typically employ a middle table board pivotally connected to one or more side table boards. A stopper element is often used to abut both the middle table board and the one or more side table boards to secure the one or more side table boards in its unfolded position. The supporting legs are either fixed to or hinged with the middle table board.
When a force is applied to the one or more side table boards, a fulcrum of the force is a hinge point between the middle table board and the one or more side table boards. This configuration creates a long lever arm, resulting in deformation risks for the one or more side table boards, the hinge point with the middle table board, and the stopper element. Consequently, the one or more side table boards are insufficiently stabilized, and the structural components exhibit reduced durability.
To address these issues, practitioners in the art may consider attaching the supporting legs directly to the one or more side table boards. However, such an arrangement would either prevent the one or more side table boards from folding or render the table non-functional (e.g., unable to serve as a stable surface) when the one or more side table boards are folded.
The technical problem to be solved by the present disclosure is to provide a multi-size folding table with a stable structure.
In order to solve the above technical problems, the present disclosure provides the multi-size folding table with the stable structure comprising a table board and four table leg assemblies. The table board comprises a middle table board and two side table boards. Two ends of the middle table board in a length direction of the table board are respectively pivotally connected to the two side table boards, and the two side table boards are configured to be rotated to achieve unfolding and folding of the two side table boards.
A bottom surface of the table board is correspondingly disposed with guiding members, and the guiding members are respectively connected to the four table leg assemblies. The four table leg assemblies are configured to reciprocate along the length direction of the table board due to restriction of the guiding members.
Each of the four table leg assemblies comprises a supporting leg for supporting the table board. When the two side table boards are in an unfolded position, the supporting legs are slid to be located below the two side table boards. When the two side table boards are in a folded position, the supporting legs are slid to be located below the middle table board.
In some possible implementations, each of the four table leg assemblies comprises a side supporting member and a sliding rod. An end portion of the supporting leg and an end portion of the side supporting member are respectively pivotally connected to the sliding rod, and the side supporting member comprises a sliding groove extending along a length direction of the side supporting member. The supporting leg correspondingly comprises a position-limiting sliding block, and the position-limiting sliding block is disposed in the sliding groove and is configured to be relatively displaced along the length direction of the side supporting member to achieve unfolding or folding of the supporting leg.
In some possible implementations, each of the guiding members comprises at least one guiding tube extending along the length direction of the table board, and the sliding rod is sleeved with at least one of the at least one guiding tube. The four table leg assemblies are configured to be slid relatively in the length direction of the table board through a cooperation between the sliding rod and the at least one guiding tube.
In some possible implementations, one end of each of the guiding members away from a middle of the table board is disposed with a position-stopping member, and a distance between the position-stopping member and the at least one guiding tube adjacent to the position-stopping member is less than a length of the sliding rod. When the four table leg assemblies are slid to a farthest position along a direction away from the middle table board, the sliding rod abuts the position-stopping member.
In some possible implementations, the position-stopping member is disposed on a bottom surface of a corresponding one of the two side table boards.
In some possible implementations, one end of the sliding rod away from the middle of the table board is a pivoting end, and the supporting leg and the side supporting member are pivotally connected to the pivoting end. The at least one guiding tube is disposed on a bottom surface of the middle table board, and the pivoting end is located between the position-stopping member and the at least one guiding tube adjacent to the position-stopping member.
In some possible implementations, the supporting legs on two table leg assemblies of the four table leg assemblies arranged on a same side of the table board and spaced apart in a width direction of the table board are connected by a connecting rod, and the connecting rod and the supporting legs on the two table leg assemblies connected to the connecting rod form an H-shaped supporting leg.
In some possible implementations, a side of each of the two side table boards away from the middle table board comprises a table leg buckling groove. When the two side table boards are rotated inwardly to abut the H-shaped supporting legs, the H-shaped supporting legs are buckled to the table leg buckling grooves.
In some possible implementations, a length of each of the two side table boards is half a length of the middle table board.
In some possible implementations, the sliding rod and the at least one guiding tube sleeved on the sliding rod have an interference fit.
Compared with the existing techniques, the technical solution has the following advantages.
The present disclosure provides the multi-size folding table with the stable structure having the four table leg assemblies configured to slide along the length direction of the table board. When the two side table boards are unfolded, the four table leg assemblies can be slid to correspond to the bottom surface of the two side table boards. When the two side table boards are folded, the four table leg assemblies can be slid to correspond to the bottom surface of the middle table board. This technical solution mitigates influence of forces applied to the two side table boards and the two pivoting points with the middle table board, thereby enhancing structural stability and durability.
In some preferred implementations, when the four table leg assemblies are located below the two side table boards, the sliding rods simultaneously abut the two side table boards and the middle table board. The sliding rods, the supporting legs, and two sets of the two pivoting points connecting the two side table boards to the middle table boards cooperate to securely lock the two side table boards in the unfolded position.

It should be noted that when an element is described as “fixedly connected to” another element, it may be directly attached to the other element or intervening elements may be present. When an element is referred to as “connected to” another element, it may be directly connected or indirectly connected through intervening elements. In the present disclosure, directional or positional terms such as “upper,” “lower,” “bottom,” “rear,” “side,” “length direction,” and “width direction” are based on orientations or positional relationships shown in the accompanying drawings. These terms are used solely to simplify description and do not imply or require that the referenced device or component must adopt a specific orientation or configuration. Therefore, such terms should not be construed as limiting the scope of the present disclosure. For example, while the “length direction” and “width direction” are mutually perpendicular, the dimension of a table board along its “length direction” may be greater than, equal to, or less than its dimension along the “width direction.”
In this specification, the term “unfolded” for two side table boards refers to a state where upper surfaces of the two side table boards lie coplanar with an upper surface of a middle table board. Conversely, the term “folded” describes a position where the two side table boards are rotated inwardly (i.e., toward a bottom surface of the middle table board) about two sets of two pivoting points with the middle table board by 0-180° (excluding 0°) relative to its unfolded position. When the two side table boards are rotated by 180°, the two side table boards overlap completely with the middle table board, thereby minimizing a storage space required for the folding table in its non-use state. The term “bottom surface” of a table board, the middle table board, or the two side table boards refers to a downward-facing surface when the multi-size folding table is upright and the two side table boards are in their unfolded position.
The four table leg assemblies are configured to slide between a “closest position” and a “farthest position.” The “farthest position” is defined as a maximum distance a sliding rod can move a supporting leg and a side supporting member away from the middle table board, and vice versa.
The technical solutions of this application are described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. It is evident that the described embodiments represent only one implementation of this multi-size folding table. All other embodiments derived by persons of ordinary skill in the art based on the following examples without creative effort shall fall within the protection scope of this application.
Referring to FIG. 1 to FIG. 9, a multi-size folding table comprises a table board 1 and four table leg assemblies 2. Referring to FIG. 3, each of the four table leg assemblies 2 comprises a supporting leg 21, a side supporting member 22, and a sliding rod 23, and an end portion of the supporting leg 21 and an end portion of the side supporting member 22 are respectively pivotally connected to the sliding rod 23. The side supporting member 22 comprises a sliding groove 221 extending along a length direction of the side supporting member 22. The supporting leg 21 comprises a position-limiting sliding block 211, and the position-limiting sliding block 211 is buckled to the sliding groove 221 and is configured to be relatively displaced along the length direction of the side supporting member 22 to achieve unfolding or folding of a corresponding one of the four table leg assemblies 2.
The table board 1 comprises a middle table board 11 and two side table boards 12 pivotally connected to the middle table board 11. Specifically, each of the two side table boards 12 is pivotally connected to the middle table board 11 through two pivoting points 14. The two pivoting points 14 are arranged on a lower side of the middle table board 11 and a lower side of a corresponding one of the side table boards 12. When the two side table boards 12 are in an unfolded position, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a side of each of the two side table boards 12 abuts sides of the middle table board 11, which inhibits the two side table boards 12 from further rotating upward when in the unfolded position. The two side table boards 12 can be rotated inwardly by 0-180° with pivoting axes between the middle table board 11 and the two side table boards 12 as rotation axes. By unfolding or folding the two side table boards 12 respectively, the table board 1 can achieve three different usage size changes. In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, a size of the middle table board 11 in a length direction of the table board 1 is twice a size of each of the two side table boards 12. When the two side table boards 12 are rotated inwardly by 180° from the unfolded position, the two side table boards 12 overlap with the middle table board 11, and the four table leg assemblies 2 are folded and stored between the two side table boards 12 and the middle table board 11.
Four guiding members are symmetrically disposed on a bottom surface of the table board 1, and each of the four guiding members comprises a guiding tube 131 disposed on a bottom surface of the middle table board 11 along the length direction of the table board 1 and a position-stopping member 132 disposed on a bottom surface of a corresponding one of the two side table boards 12, and the position-stopping member 132 is disposed on an extension line of the guiding tube 131. A distance between the position-stopping member 132 and the guiding tube 131 adjacent to the position-stopping member 132 in each of the four guiding members is less than a length of the sliding rod 23.
The sliding rod 23 is sleeved with at least one of the guiding tubes 131, and the four table leg assemblies 2 slide relatively in the length direction of the table board 1 through a cooperation between the sliding rods 23 and the guiding tubes 131. As shown in FIG. 1, when the four table leg assemblies 2 slide to a farthest position in a direction away from the middle table board 11, the sliding rod 23 abuts the position-stopping member 132. Furthermore, an end of the sliding rod 23 away from a middle of the table board 1 is a pivoting end 231. The supporting leg 21 and the sliding rod 23 are pivotally connected at the pivoting end 231, and the pivoting end 231 is located between the position-stopping member 132 and the guiding tube 131 adjacent to the position-stopping member 132. When the four table leg assemblies 2 slide to a closest position in a direction close to the middle table board 11, as shown in FIG. 5, the side supporting member 22 abuts the guiding tube 131 adjacent to the position-stopping member 132. In addition, the sliding rod 23 and the guiding tube 131 sleeved on the sliding rod 23 have an interference fit, so that during sliding of the sliding rod 23, the four table leg assemblies 2 can be maintained at any position between the closest position and farthest position by being tightly sleeved with the guiding tubes 131.
The two side table boards 12 can be in the unfolded position (FIG. 1 and FIG. 2). The four table leg assemblies 2 can be slid by the user to enable the four table leg assemblies 2 to be at least partially located below the two side table boards 12. At this time, the sliding rods 23 abut the two side table boards 12 and the middle table board 11 at the same time, so that the sliding rods 23 have a function of fixing the two side table boards 12 in the unfolded position. At the same time, since the supporting legs 21 are arranged below the two side table boards 12 due to driving of the sliding rods 23, distances between edges of the two side table boards 12 away from the middle table board 11 and the supporting legs 21 are reduced. When the edges of the two side table boards 12 away from the middle table board 11 are pressed, the two side table boards 12 are less likely to deform, and a pivoting connection between the two side table boards 12 and the middle table board 11 is more stable.
Furthermore, in this embodiment, the supporting legs 21 on two table leg assemblies 2 of the four table leg assemblies 2 arranged on a same side along a width direction of the table board 1 are connected by a connecting rod 24, and the connecting rod 24 and the supporting legs 21 on the two table leg assemblies 2 connected to the connecting rod 24 form an H-shaped supporting leg 21. A side of each of the two side table boards 12 away from the middle table board 11 comprises a table leg buckling groove 121. As shown in FIGS. 2 to 7, when the two side table boards 12 are rotated inwardly to abut the H-shaped supporting legs 21, the H-shaped supporting legs 21 are buckled to the table leg buckling grooves 121.
In addition, a reinforcing rib 111 is disposed on the bottom surface of the middle table board 11 along the length direction of the table board 1.
