Smart Summary: The Cyclops Putter has a new design that makes it easy for everyone to use, regardless of their physical abilities. It uses traditional materials like graphite or metal for the shaft, making it familiar for golfers. Assembling the putter is simple because standard adhesives can be used, and adding grips is also very easy. The putter is made from a strong resin that is lightweight and won't rust, ensuring it lasts a long time. Plus, it can be painted in any color, allowing for personal customization. 🚀 TL;DR

Abstract:

The “Cyclops Putter” is an innovative design. It takes traditional graphite or metal shafts. Standard adhesives can be used to assemble the components to the putter, and it is extremely easy to add grips. The putter is extremely easy to use no matter what physical abilities the golfer has. The extremely hard resin material is durable, yet lightweight won't rust, and can be painted in any color.

STATEMENT REGARDING PRIOR DISCLOSURES BY THE INVENTOR OR A JOINT INVENTOR

This statement letter is to confirm that I Mr. Whitney Williams to the best of my knowledge is the original inventor of the Cyclops Putter. I am seeking a non-provisional patent for this invention.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The invention is based on golf putters of conventional design except that the “Cyclops Putter” is slightly higher in the face and has a small protrusion toward the top of the face. I have designed the putter so that the protrusion makes contact with the ball and gives the golf ball top spin and velocity. Traditional flat faced putters push the ball because the entire half inch or higher face contacts the ball and thereby adds inertia and results in the ball being pushed along the putting green before it rolls. The putter only weighs 300-350 grams fully assembled and the extremely hard and durable resin material makes it quite easy to swing and align your golf ball. Traditional putters weigh 500 or more grams and can be very cumbersome.

(1) FIELD OF THE INVENTION

Sports, specifically the golf industry.

(2) DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART INCLUDING INFORMATION DISCLOSED UNDER 37 CFR 1.97 AND 1.98

I have included an engineering drawing of my design. Unfortunately, I cannot copy and paste it.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The invention takes a traditional putter design and adds a projection to the face and a slightly higher putter face. The putter uses a traditional shaft placed in a hole 0.370 in diameter. The putter will use traditional steel or graphite shafts, any style grips and traditional assembly techniques. I have made a working model and used it this summer when I played golf. It is applicable for men or women, young or elderly and it's lighter than traditional metal putters.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)

The drawings display the putter from the side, top, back and front views. It adds details on dimensions and height. The weight of the putter head without a shaft or grip is approximately 325 grams.

FIG. 1 shows Click here to enter text.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention takes a traditional flat faced putter and adds a protrusion on the face. This protrusion is designed to move the golf ball in a forward direction. Putter will include a shaft of metal or graphite that acts like a fulcrum to assist a golfer to propel the golf ball forward with top spin. The putter head creates top spin and rolls the ball forward. Traditional putters tend to push the ball and depend on the weight of the putter to add inertia. My putter rolls the ball from the moment of contact and thus gives the golfer professional or amateur a better result.

SEQUENCE LISTING

(See MPEP § 2424 and 37 CFR 1.821-1.825. A “Sequence Listing” is required on paper if the application discloses a nucleotide or amino acid sequence as defined in 37 CFR 1.821(a) and if the required “Sequence Listing” is not submitted as an electronic document either on compact disc or as a text file via the Office electronic filing system (EFS-Web.)

Claims

1. The “Cyclops Putter” is a new invention. It is lighter than metal putters. It has a protrusion on the putter face and is made of an extremely hard resin. The putter will not rust. The putter is quite easy to use, especially for elderly and young golfers. The putter can be used by men and women. The putter is assembled using traditional hosels, grips and shafts. Putting is over 33% of a golfers scoring in an 18-hole golf round. Many amateur golfers will spend more than $1,000 for a set of golf clubs and pay little attention to the quality of the putter. Custom fitting of clubs focuses on irons, driver and even golf balls but not on the putter. Most amateurs therefore struggle with putting. I think my design will help golfers because the protrusion allows golfers to line up the putt and is more pleasing to there eyes when they stand over it golf ball.
