Technical solutions in the embodiments of the present disclosure will be clearly and completely described below by referring to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present disclosure. Obviously, the described embodiments show only a part of, not all of, the embodiments of the present disclosure. The following description of at least one exemplary embodiment is merely illustrative, and does not limit the present disclosure and an application of the present disclosure. All other embodiments, which are obtained by any ordinary skilled person in the art based on the embodiments in the present disclosure without making creative work, shall fall within the scope of the present disclosure.
Reference to “embodiment” or “implementation” herein means that a particular feature, a structure, or a property described in one embodiment or one implementation may be included in at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. The presence of the term at various sections in the specification does not necessarily refer to a same embodiment, nor a separate or an alternative embodiment that is mutually exclusive of other embodiments. Any ordinary skilled person in the art shall understand, both explicitly and implicitly, that the embodiments described herein may be combined with other embodiments.
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, in an embodiment of the present disclosure, at least a portion of the extendable sofa 10 can be extended and retracted. Alternatively, at least a portion of the extendable sofa 10 can be switched between an extended state and a retracted state to change a height of at least a portion of the extendable sofa 10. The height of the at least portion of the extendable sofa 10 in the retracted state is less than the height of the at least portion of the extendable sofa 10 in the extended state. The extendable sofa 10 being in the retracted state may also be referred to as the extendable sofa 10 being in a compressed state.
The height of the extendable sofa 10 is interpreted as a height of the extendable sofa 10 in a direction perpendicular to the floor after the extendable sofa 10 is placed on a placing surface such as the floor. Therefore, when the extendable sofa 10 in the present disclosure is not being used by a user, for example, when the extendable sofa 10 needs to be transported, stored, or carried, the extendable sofa 10 may be operated into the retracted state to reduce the height of the extendable sofa 10 based on the extendable and retractable nature of the extendable sofa 10. When the extendable sofa 10 needs to be used, the extendable sofa 10 is switched from the retracted state to the extended state to increase the height of the extendable sofa 10, enabling the extendable sofa 10 to be used by the user, such as allowing the user to sit or lie thereon.
Exemplarily, an overall configuration of the extendable sofa 10 can be changed. That is, the entirety of the extendable sofa 10 of the present embodiment can be extended and retracted. It is understood that, the present embodiment is illustrated based on the example where the entirety of the extendable sofa 10 can be extended and retracted. In other cases, it is also feasible that only a portion of the extendable sofa 10 can be extended and retracted.
Exemplarily, the extendable sofa 10 includes a base 100 and a support 200. The base 100 includes a first extending-retracting layer 101. The first extending-retracting layer 101 can be switched between a retracted state and an extended state to change a height of the base 100. The support 200 is disposed on an upper surface of the base 100. The support 200 is disposed along an edge of at least a portion of the base 100. The support 200 includes a second extending-retracting layer 201. The second extending-retracting layer 201 can be switched between a retracted state and an extended state to change a height of the support 200.
The base 100 further includes a lower surface opposite to the upper surface of the base 100. The lower surface of the base 100 faces towards the placing surface, such as the floor, on which the extendable sofa 10 is placed. The upper surface of the base 100 faces away from the placing surface, such as the floor. In other words, the upper surface of the base 100 is a side on which the user may sit or lie down.
The extendable sofa 10 of the present embodiment can be extended and retracted as the base 100 is extended and retracted or as the support 200 is extended and retracted. Similarly, the height of the base 100 in the retracted state is less than the height of the base 100 in the extended state, and the height of the support 200 in the retracted state is less than the height of the support 200 in the extended state.
The base 100 has a height direction Z, a length direction X, and a width direction Y. Every two directions of the length direction X, the width direction Y, and the height direction Z of the base 100 are substantially perpendicular to each other. The height of the base 100 is interpreted as the height of the base 100 along the height direction Z. Similarly, the height of the support 200 is interpreted as the height of the support 200 along the height direction Z of the base 100. The height of the extendable sofa 10 is interpreted as the height of the extendable sofa 10 along the height direction Z of the base 100.
To be noted that a height difference between the height of the base 100 in the extended state and the height of the base 100 in the retracted state of the present embodiment may be determined according to demands of the user, and a height difference between the height of the support 200 in the extended state and the height of the support 200 in the retracted state of the present embodiment may be determined according to demands of the user.
To be further noted that the height difference for the base 100 in the extended state and in the retracted state may be equal to or different from the height difference for the support 200 in the extended state and in the retracted state.
Exemplarily, the support 200 may include a backrest portion 200a and an armrest portion 200b. The backrest portion 200a is configured to provide support for a back of the user, and the armrest portion 200b is configured to provide support for an arm of the user. It is understood that functions of the backrest portion 200a and the armrest portion 200b in the present disclosure are merely illustrative and are not for limitation. For example, the armrest portion 200b may also be configured to provide support for the back of the user in some cases, and the armrest portion 200b may also be configured to provide support for a head of the user in some cases.
The backrest portion 200a can be switched between a retracted state and an extended state to change a height of the backrest portion 200a. The height of the backrest portion 200a in the retracted state is less than the height of the backrest portion 200a in the extended state. The height of the backrest portion 200a is interpreted as the height of the backrest portion 200a along the height direction Z of the base 100.
The armrest portion 200b can be switched between a retracted state and an extended state to change a height of the armrest portion 200b. The height of the armrest portion 200b in the retracted state is less than the height of the armrest portion 200b in the extended state. The height of the armrest portion 200b is interpreted as the height of the armrest portion 200b along the height direction Z of the base 100.
A height difference between the height of the backrest portion 200a in the extended state and the height of the backrest portion 200a in the retracted state can be equal to or different from a height difference between the height of the armrest portion 200b in the extended state and the height of the armrest portion 200b in the retracted state. In the present embodiment, the height difference between the height of the backrest portion 200a in the extended state and the height of the backrest portion 200a in the retracted state is equal to the height difference between the height of the armrest portion 200b in the extended state and the height of the armrest portion 200b in the retracted state.
Exemplarily, the backrest portion 200a and the armrest portion 200b are configured as a one-piece and integral structure. In other embodiments, the backrest portion 200a and the armrest portion 200b are separated components and are both connected to the base 100. In the case where the backrest portion 200a and the armrest portion 200b are configured as separated components, the backrest portion 200a and the armrest portion 200b may be connected to each other or may be spaced apart from each other.
Exemplarily, the armrest portion 200b is connected to the backrest portion 200a. When the armrest portion 200b and the backrest portion 200a are in a same state, and the height of the armrest portion 200b is less than or equal to the height of the backrest portion 200a.
Exemplarily, the backrest portion 200a is extending along the length direction X of the base 100, and the backrest portion 200a is disposed on a side of the base 100.
Exemplarily, the armrest portion 200b is extending along the width direction Y of the base 100, and the armrest portion 200b is disposed at one or two ends of the base 100.
Exemplarily, a length of the backrest portion 200b is equal to or less than a length of the base 100. That is, the length of the backrest portion 200b along the length direction X of the base 100 is equal to or less than the length of the base 100 along the length direction X thereof.
Exemplarily, a width of the armrest portion 200a is less than or equal to a width of the base 100. That is, the width of the armrest portion 200a along the width direction Y of the base 100 is less than or equal to the width of the base 100 along the width direction Y thereof.
In other embodiments, the support 200 includes the armrest portion 200b, and the backrest portion 200a is omitted.
In other embodiments, the support 200 includes the backrest portion 200a, and the armrest portion 200b is omitted.
To be noted that the backrest portion 200a and/or the armrest portion 200b often need to bear forces acting from a side of the backrest portion 200a and/or a side of the armrest portion 200b, such as a force applied along the length direction X of the base 100 or the width direction Y of the base 100. In order to effectively maintain stability and strength of the support 200, in the present embodiment, strength of the first extending-retracting layer 201 of the support 200 is greater than strength of the second extending-retracting layer 101 of the base 100.
In other embodiments, the strength of the first extending-retracting layer 201 of the support 200 is substantially the same as the strength of the second extending-retracting layer 101 of the base 100.
Exemplarily, the first extending-retracting layer 101 includes a plurality of first elastic members 110 and a plurality of first sleeve assemblies 120. The plurality of first elastic members 110 are spaced apart from each other. At least a portion of one of the plurality of first elastic members 110 is received in a corresponding one of the plurality of first sleeve assemblies 120. Each first elastic member 110 generates an elastic deformation to allow the first extending-retracting layer 101 to be switched between the retracted state and the extended state. For example, when the first elastic member 110 is in an initial form and receives an external force, the first elastic member 110 generates a compressive deformation to form a compressed configuration, causing the first extending-retracting layer 101 to be switched from the extended state to the retracted state. In another example, when the external force that is applied on the first elastic member 110 in the compressed configuration is released, the first elastic member 110 is switched to the initial form due to an elastic force generated by the compressed configuration, causing the first elastic member 110 to be switched from the retracted state to the extended state. The initial form of the first elastic member 110 may be understood as the extended state of the first elastic member 110, or a state in which the first elastic member 110 does not receive any external force.
Exemplarily, the second extending-retracting layer 201 includes a second of first elastic members 210 and a plurality of second sleeve assemblies 220. The plurality of second elastic members 210 are spaced apart from each other. At least a portion of one of the plurality of second elastic members 210 is received in a corresponding one of the plurality of second sleeve assemblies 220. Each second elastic member 210 generates an elastic deformation to allow the second extending-retracting layer 201 to be switched between the retracted state and the extended state. For example, when the second elastic member 210 is in an initial form and receives an external force, the second elastic member 210 generates a compressive deformation to form a compressed configuration, causing the second extending-retracting layer 201 to be switched from the extended state to the retracted state. In another example, when the external force that is applied on the first elastic member 110 in the compressed configuration is released, the second elastic member 210 is switched to the initial form due to an elastic force generated by the compressed configuration, causing the second elastic member 210 to be switched from the retracted state to the extended state. The initial form of the second elastic member 210 may be understood as the extended state of the second elastic member 210, or a state in which the second elastic member 210 does not receive any external force.
Exemplarily, the first elastic member 110 is a spring, and the second elastic member 210 is a spring.
Exemplarily, the first elastic member 110 is a torsion spring, and the second elastic member 210 is a torsion spring. To be noted that configuring the spring or the torsion spring as the first elastic member 110 and the second elastic member 210 in the present embodiments is only an exemplary illustration. Any elastic component that can generate deformation when being operated with other components may be configured as the first elastic member 110 and the second elastic member 210 of the present disclosure, which will not be limited herein.
Exemplarily, strength of the each first elastic member 110 is greater than strength of each second elastic member 210. For example, a wire diameter of the first elastic member 110 is smaller than a wire diameter of the second elastic member 210, or an outer diameter of the second elastic member 210 is larger than an outer diameter of the first elastic member 110. In this way, the force needed to cause the second elastic member 210 to generate the deformation is larger than the force needed to cause the first elastic member 110 to generate the deformation, and therefore, the second elastic member 210 is stable sufficiently, enabling the support 200 to provide a stable support when receiving forces applied from the side. By arranging independent spring coils having different wire diameters in different regions, a more solid support is provided for the entire extendable sofa 10, and the entire extendable sofa 10 can provide elastic comfort.
In other embodiments, a distribution density of the plurality of second elastic members 210 is greater than a distribution density of the plurality of first elastic members 110, and therefore, the stability of the support 200 is improved.
Exemplarily, when the first extending-retracting layer 101 is in the retracted state, the plurality of first elastic members 110 are at least partially received in the respective plurality of first sleeve assemblies 120. When first extending-retracting layer 101 is in the extended state, a portion of the plurality of first elastic members 110 are received in a respective portion of the plurality of first sleeve assemblies 120, and another portion of the plurality of first elastic members 110 are disposed out of the plurality of first sleeve assemblies 120.
Exemplarily, when the second extending-retracting layer 201 is in the retracted state, the plurality of second elastic members 210 are at least partially received in the respective plurality of second sleeve assemblies 220. When second extending-retracting layer 201 is in the extended state, a portion of the plurality of second elastic members 210 are received in a respective portion of the plurality of second sleeve assemblies 220, and another portion of the plurality of second elastic members 210 are disposed out of the plurality of second sleeve assemblies 220.
Exemplarily, one of the plurality of first sleeve assemblies 120 includes a first sleeve 121 and a second sleeve 122 opposite to the first sleeve 121. At least a portion of one of the plurality of first elastic members 110 is disposed in the oppositely disposed first sleeve 121 and the second sleeve 122 of the respective one of the plurality of first sleeve assemblies 120. When the first elastic member 110 is in the initial form, a portion of the first elastic member 110 is disposed between the first sleeve 121 and the second sleeve 122. When the first elastic member 110 in the compressed form, at least a portion of the first elastic member 110 is received in the first sleeve 121 and the second sleeve 122. In other words, when the first elastic member 110 in the compressed form, a portion of the first elastic member 110 is received in the first sleeve 121, another portion of the first elastic member 110 is received in the second sleeve 122. The first sleeve 121 and the second sleeve 122 may be adjacent to and abut against each other to completely cover the first elastic member 110. The first sleeve 121 and the second sleeve 122 may be spaced apart from each other by a portion of the first elastic member 110.
Exemplarily, one of the plurality of second sleeve assemblies 220 includes a third sleeve 221 and a fourth sleeve 222 opposite to the third sleeve 221. At least a portion of one of the plurality of second elastic members 210 is disposed in the oppositely disposed third sleeve 221 and the fourth sleeve 222 of the respective one of the plurality of second sleeve assemblies 220. When the second elastic member 210 is in the initial form, a portion of the second elastic member 210 is disposed between the third sleeve 221 and the fourth sleeve 222. When the second elastic member 210 in the compressed form, at least a portion of the second elastic member 210 is received in the third sleeve 221 and the fourth sleeve 222. In other words, when the second elastic member 210 in the compressed form, a portion of the second elastic member 210 is received in the third sleeve 221, another portion of the second elastic member 210 is received in the fourth sleeve 222. The third sleeve 221 and the fourth sleeve 222 may be adjacent to and abut against each other to completely cover the second elastic member 210. The third sleeve 221 and the fourth sleeve 22 may be spaced apart from each other by a portion of the second elastic member 210.
Exemplarily, the base 100 further includes a first protective layer 130. The first protective layer 130 wraps the first extending-retracting layer 101. The first protective layer 130 moves as the first extending-retracting layer 101 moves. In other words, a state of the first protective layer 130 can be changed accordingly as the state of the first extending-retracting layer 101 changes. In this way, it is ensured that the first extending-retracting layer 101 is switched between the retracted state and the extended state.
Exemplarily, the support 200 further includes a second protective layer 230. The second protective layer 230 wraps the second extending-retracting layer 201. The second protective layer 230 moves as the second extending-retracting layer 201 moves. In other words, a state of the second protective layer 230 can be changed accordingly as the state of the second extending-retracting layer 201 changes. In this way, it is ensured that the second extending-retracting layer 201 is switched between the retracted state and the extended state.
Exemplarily, the first protective layer 130 is made of non-woven fabric, and the second protective layer 230 is made of non-woven fabric.
As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, in another embodiment of the present disclosure, the extendable sofa 10 further includes a first sponge layer 11a and a second sponge layer 12a. The first sponge layer 11a sleeves a lower surface of the first protective layer 130. Furthermore, the first sponge layer 11a surrounds a circumference of the first protective layer 130 to sleeve at least a portion of a side of the first protective layer 130. The second sponge layer 12a sleeves an upper surface of the second protective layer 230. The second sponge layer 12a surrounds a circumference of the second protective layer 230 to sleeve at least a portion of a side of the second protective layer 230. The first sponge layer 11a provides protection for the base 100, and the second sponge layer 12a provides further protection for the support 200.
Exemplary, a thickness of the first sponge layer 11a is the same as a thickness of the second sponge layer 12a. In other embodiments, the thickness of the first sponge layer 11a is different from the thickness of the second sponge layer 12a.
Exemplarily, the first sponge layer 11a is made of sponge, and the second sponge layer 12a is made of sponge.
In another embodiment of the present disclosure, the extendable sofa 10 further includes a third sponge layer 11b and a fourth sponge layer 12b. The third sponge layer 11b is laminated on an upper surface of the first protective layer 130. The fourth sponge layer 12b is laminated on an upper surface of the second sponge layer 12a. The third sponge layer 11b and the fourth sponge layer 12b are disposed above the base 100 and the support 200, respectively. In this way, the usage experience is improved.
Exemplarily, a thickness of the third sponge layer 11b is the same as a thickness of the fourth sponge layer 12b. In other embodiments, the thickness of the third sponge layer 11b is different from the thickness of the fourth sponge layer 12b.
Exemplarily, the third sponge layer 11b is made of sponge, and the fourth sponge layer 12b is made of sponge.
Exemplarily, the thickness of the third sponge layer 11b is greater than the thickness of the first sponge layer 11a.
Exemplarily, the thickness of the fourth sponge layer 12b is greater than the thickness of the second sponge layer 11b.
In another embodiment, the extendable sofa 10 further includes a fifth sponge layer 11c. The fifth sponge layer 11c is disposed on the upper surface of the base 100 and is disposed adjacent to the support 200.
