The present invention relates generally to a storage bag. More specifically, the present invention is a storage bag that compress the goods in an internal cavity, reducing the size of the storage bag.
Traditional storage bags for bedding often struggle with effective compression and easy access, leading to frustration when retrieving sheets and blankets. With living spaces becoming more compact, there's a clear need for a storage solution that not only compresses bedding to save space but also allows for simple retrieval without fully opening the bag. The present invention meets this need with a practical, user-friendly design.

The present invention represents a significant improvement over traditional storage solutions by combining structural rigidity with foldability and incorporating an innovative expandable and compressible lid with a zipper system and a round eyelet grommet valve 121 system for enhanced functionality. The present invention utilizes a rigid foldable base and sidewalls that define an interior containment space. The present invention is easily foldable to form a reduced size for convenient storage and transportation. The top of the bag features an expandable and compressible lid with a multi-zipper system. This lid allows for the insertion and compression of bedding products within the bag. The bag includes an eyelet metal button grommet that functions as a breath button to release air from the bedding product inside, aiding in compression.
The present invention is an expandable and foldable storage organizer bag that comprises a storage housing 1 and a sealed cavity 2 as seen in FIG. 1-15. The storage housing 1 receives bedding and similar items for compression within the sealed cavity 2. The storage housing 1 further comprises a housing base 11, a plurality of housing walls 12 and a housing lid 13. The housing lid 13 shuts along the top of the storage housing 1 sealing the sealed cavity 2. The housing base 11 further comprises a rigid base layer 111. The plurality of housing walls 12 further comprises an round eyelet grommet valve 121 and a sealing zipper system 122. The round eyelet grommet valve 121 is designed to release air from within the sealed cavity 2. The housing lid 13 further comprises an expanding zipper system 131. The expanding zipper system 131 enables the housing lid 13 to expand upwards, allowing more bedding or similar items to be stored within the storage housing 1. The storage housing 1 forms an expandable hollow shape, wherein the sealed cavity 2 is the hollow space within the storage housing 1 shape. The sealed cavity 2 enables the storage housing 1 to receive bedding or similar items. The plurality of housing walls 12 is positioned along the four sides of the housing base 11. Wherein the plurality of housing walls 12 forms a box shape with the housing base 11. The housing lid 13 is positioned along the top sides of the plurality of housing walls 12 and forms an expandable hollow shape. The storage housing 1 expands to receive compressible items. The storage housing 1 compresses to reduce the volume of the storage housing 1. As a result, the storage housing 1 is easily foldable and compressible to reduce the size of the present invention.
In reference to FIG. 2, the housing base 11 provides bottom support for items stored within the storage housing 1. Accordingly, the housing base 11 is foldable and provides a base to secure items within the storage housing 1. The housing base 11 is capable of folding, enabling air to be pressed out forming a small size facilitating easy storage and transportation. The housing base 11 is designed to make it easier to compress large items such as towels and bedding, making it more convenient for putting in a closet. Consequently, the housing base 11 may fold along a crease or any portion of the housing base 11. Furthermore, the storage housing 1 folds into a collapsed configuration, reducing the size of the present invention for storage. As a result, the storage housing 1 folds into a smaller size for convenient storage and transportation.
Furthermore, the housing base 11 further comprises a base layer 111. The base layer 111 is integrated within the housing base 11 as seen in FIG. 11. The base layer 111 is a rigid structure. Thus, the base layer 111 provides additional support for items placed within the storage housing 1, ensuring that the storage housing 1 shape does not collapse into itself when the storage housing 1 receives items.
In reference to FIG. 3, the plurality of housing walls 12 further comprises an round eyelet grommet valve 121 and a sealing zipper system 122. The round eyelet grommet valve 121 is designed to release excess air within the interior of the storage housing 1, the sealed cavity 2. The sealing zipper system 122 forms a seal and enables air to be compressed out of the sealed cavity 2, when the housing lid 13 is shut along the storage housing 1. The round eyelet grommet valve 121 integrates within the plurality of housing walls 12. So, the round eyelet grommet valve 121 is positioned strategically along the storage housing 1, enabling easy access and functionality. The sealing zipper system 122 forms a seal, ensuring air only escapes from the sealed cavity 2 through the round eyelet grommet valve 121. The housing base 11 further comprises a viewing window and a pocket. The viewing window is positioned along the front and side of the housing base 11, designed with a transparent material, enabling a user to look into the housing base 11 without having to open up the housing base 11. The pocket is integrated along the front of the housing base 11, deigned to receive a card or tag that indicates the contents being stored within the housing base 11.
Further, the round eyelet grommet valve 121 releases air from the sealed cavity 2. Accordingly, the round eyelet grommet valve 121 is the only point where air can escape from the sealed cavity 2 when the sealing zipper system 122 is closed as shown in FIG. 3. The round eyelet grommet valve 121 prevents air from entering the sealed cavity 2. Consequently, the round eyelet grommet valve 121 enables the storage housing 1 to be compressed and stay compressed, until the sealing zipper system 122 is opened.
Furthermore, the sealing zipper system 122 traverses along the top edge of each of the plurality of housing walls 12. As a result, the sealing zipper system 122 encompasses the top edge of the plurality of housing walls 12, except for the center of the rear housing wall, wherein a fabric hinge is placed, enabling relative hinging motion of the housing lid 13 along the plurality of housing walls 12 as seen in FIG. 4. The sealing zipper system 122 traverses along the bottom edge of the housing lid 13. Thus, the sealing zipper system 122 is integrated along the bottom of the housing lid 13. The sealing zipper system 122 secures the housing lid 13 to the top of the plurality of housing walls 12. So, the sealing zipper system 122 seals the housing lid 13 to the plurality of housing walls 12 forming the sealed cavity 2 within the storage housing 1.
In reference to FIG. 5, the housing lid 13 shuts the top of the storage housing 1, forming the sealed cavity 2 within the storage housing 1. Accordingly, the housing lid 13 opens and closes, engaging along the top of the plurality of housing walls 12. The housing lid 13 further comprises an expanding zipper system 131. The expanding zipper system 131 enables selective compression of different parts of the housing lid 13. The expanding zipper system 131 enables for specific sections to be zipped up, enabling the present invention to be compressed without fully closing the present invention.
Further, the expanding zipper system 131 traverses along the sides of housing lid 13. Consequently, the expanding zipper system 131 enables the storage housing 1 to be reduced and expanded for efficient storage options. As seen in FIG. 5, the expanding zipper system 131 collapses and expands the height of the housing lid 13. As a result, the contents of the storage housing 1 can be accessed without compromising the compression state of the present invention. Furthermore, the expanding zipper system 131 increases and decreases the volume of the sealed cavity 2 when the housing lid 13 is sealed along the top of the storage housing 1 via the sealing zipper system 122. Thus, the storage housing 1 can receive bedding products, expand the housing lid 13, close the expanding zipper system 131 and sealing zipper system 122, and compress the sealed cavity 2 and bedding products within for efficient storage.
