Brassieres
The present invention relates to the field of brassiere accessories, and more particularly to an adjustable shoulder strap, its manufacturing method, and brassiere strap adjustment ring.
A brassiere, as a type of clothing, has become one of the indispensable and essential garments in modern life. As the living standards continue to improve, people not only pursue the practicality and functionality of brassieres, but also pay more attention to their aesthetic and comfort levels, wherein whether a brassiere fits well is a crucial factor in ensuring wearing comfort. The current brassiere size parameters generally correspond to the underbust size of the wearer and the difference between the upper and lower bust sizes, which can roughly reflect whether the cup size and strap length of the brassiere match the bust size and chest circumference of the wearer. Since the brassiere also serves to lift and support the bust of the wearer, whether the cups provide good upward support is also important. Thus, brassieres with shoulder strap of appropriate length are also important for the comfort of the wearer. However, due to differences in body shape and height among wearers, even if the brassiere size is the same, the appropriate shoulder strap length may differ. Hence, most existing brassieres use adjustable shoulder straps.
Specifically, referring to FIG. 1A, a conventional 8-shaped shoulder strap adjustment ring (10P) is illustrated, wherein, the 8-shaped shoulder strap adjustment ring (10P) comprises a frame body (11P) and a divider column (12P) horizontally placed in the frame body (11P), wherein the divider column (12P) divides the area defined by the frame body (11P) into a first guiding hole (13P) and a second guiding hole (14P). Referring to FIG. 1B, during the installation process, first, a fixed end (21P) of a shoulder strap (20P) is threaded through the first guiding hole (13P) of the frame body (11P). After reversing the fixed end (21P), the fixed end (21P) is threaded through the second guiding hole (14P) of the frame body (11P) again. The fixed end (21P) is then stitched and secured to the shoulder strap (20P) using a stitching (23P), thereby setting the 8-shaped shoulder strap adjustment ring (10P) on the shoulder strap (20P). After installing the 8-shaped shoulder strap adjustment ring (10P) on the shoulder strap (20P), further referring to FIG. 1C, a connecting end (22P) of the shoulder strap (20P) is threaded through a fixed ring (30P) that is arranged on the cup, and then the connecting end (22P) is threaded through the second guiding hole (14P) of the frame body (11P). The connecting end (22P) is then reversed and threaded through the first guiding hole (13P) of the frame body (11P) again, wherein the connecting end (22P) is subsequently connected to the back strap of the brassiere. Thus, by adjusting the distance between the 8-shaped shoulder strap adjustment ring (10P) and the connecting end (22P) along the shoulder strap (20P), the length of the shoulder strap (20P) can be adjusted, allowing the wearer to adjust the shoulder strap length according to their body shape and wearing habits.
However, the 8-shaped shoulder strap adjustment ring (10P) causes the shoulder strap (20P) to thread through the frame body (11P) multiple times during production, making the process is burdensome and complex, resulting in low production efficiency and high labor costs. Additionally, the shoulder strap (20P) will be doubly overlapped on the divider column (12P), causing the corresponding brassiere at the 8-shaped shoulder strap adjustment ring (10P) position to often protrude through the outer garment of the wearer, which is aesthetically unpleasing and can cause the wearer to feel embarrassed. Furthermore, since the shoulder strap (20P) threads through the first guiding hole (13P) and the second guiding hole (14P) twice, occupying the space of the first guiding hole (13P) and the second guiding hole (14P), the wearer is required to exert more force to move the shoulder strap (20P) through the first guiding hole (13P) and the second guiding hole (14P) during adjustment. Moreover, the fixed end (21P) sewn to the shoulder strap (20P) creates a stepped thickness difference, affecting the comfort of the wearer.

Further referring to FIG. 3, wherein the fixed column (12) has a hole frame (121) defining the threading hole (15), wherein the hole frame (121) comprises a first side (1211), a second side (1212), a third side (1213), and a fourth side (1214), wherein the first side (1211), the second side (1212), the third side (1213), and the fourth side (1214) are connected end-to-end sequentially, in which the end of the first side (1211) is connected to the beginning of the second side (1212), the end of the second side (1212) is connected to the beginning of the third side (1213), the end of the third side (1213) is connected to the beginning of the fourth side (1214), and the end of the fourth side (1214) is connected to the beginning of the first side (1211), thereby encircling and defining the threading holes (15), wherein the hole frame (121) has a structure in which the first side (1211) would overlap the third side (1213) when hypothetically rotated 180° counterclockwise about the physical center point of the threading hole (15), and the second side (1212) would overlap the fourth side (1214) when hypothetically rotated 180° counterclockwise about the physical center point of the threading hole (15), based on the structural design of the hole frame (121) to enhance the accuracy of the corresponding stitching (30) threading through and improve the position limiting effect of the hole frame (121) on the corresponding stitching (30), ensuring the stitching firmness between the strap body (20) and the fixed column (12).
Specifically, the number of the threading holes (15) is at least two, allowing the stitching (30) to thread through between adjacent threading holes (15), enhancing the stitching firmness between the strap body (20) and the fixed column (12).
Notably, where the end where the first side (1211) and the fourth side (1214) are connected, as well as the end where the second side (1212) and the third side (1213) are connected, are two ends (1215) of the hole frame (121) which are of a same horizontal axis, wherein the hole frame (121) is arranged such that the hypothetical virtual lines connecting each of the two ends (1215) of the hole frame (121) are on the same straight line, thereby reducing the distance of the stitching (30) threading through between adjacent threading holes (15), saving stitching material.
Specifically, wherein the hypothetical virtual line connecting the ends (1215) of the hole frame (121) is parallel to the horizontal direction of the fixed column (12), thereby enhancing the accuracy of machine threading, improving the production efficiency.
Notably, where the end where the first side (1211) and the second side (1212) are connected, as well as the end where the third side (1213) and the forth side (1214) are connected, are two ends (1216) of the hole frame (121) which are of a same vertical axis, wherein the hole frame (121) is arranged such that the hypothetical virtual lines connecting the two ends (1216) are perpendicular to the horizontal direction of the fixed column (12), to reduce the distance between the threading hole (15) with the first guiding hole (13) and the second guiding hole (14), thereby facilitating the stitching (30) to thread through the threading hole (15) and the first guiding hole (13), and/or to thread through the threading hole (15) and the second guiding hole (14), as shown in FIG. 10. The stitching (30) further threads through the threading hole (15) and the first guiding hole (13), thereby enhancing the stitching firmness between the strap body (20) and the fixed column (12), and based on the reduced distance between the threading hole (15) with the first guiding hole (13) and the second guiding hole (14), the stitching material is saved, thereby reducing the costs. In other words, the stitching (30) comprises a plurality of first stitching thread portions (31) each passing through one of the plurality of threading holes (15) and the first guiding hole (13), and a second stitching thread portion (32) between two adjacent first stitching thread portions (31) of the plurality of first stitching thread portions (31), wherein each second stitching thread portion (32) passes through two adjacent threading holes (15). The first side (1211), the second side (1212), the third side (1213), and the fourth side (1214) are connected end-to-end sequentially to form two first connecting positions (1217) which are spacedly arranged along an extending direction of the corresponding first stitching thread portion (31) and two second connecting positions (1218) which are spacedly arranged along an extending direction of the corresponding second stitching thread portion (32). In this embodiment, the extending direction of each first stitching thread portion (31) is vertical, the extending direction of each second stitching thread portion (32) is horizontal.
Specifically, wherein the first side (1211) is parallel to the third side (1213), and the second side (1212) is parallel to the fourth side (1214), thereby enhancing the accuracy of machine threading based on a regular structure and improving production efficiency.
Notably, wherein the first side (1211), the second side (1212), the third side (1213), and the fourth side (1214) are all of equal length, further improving the regularity of the structure of the threading hole (15), enhancing the efficiency of machine threading, and effectively reducing the probability of the machine needle hitting the fixed column, thereby reducing the consumption of the production materials and lowering costs.
Furthermore, after fixing the fixed end (21) of the strap body (20) to the brassiere strap adjustment ring (10) with the corresponding stitching (30), the adjustable shoulder strap is installed by threading the strap body (20) through the brassiere strap adjustment ring (10) based on the corresponding steps, allowing the strap body (20) to adjust the distance between the fixed end (21) and the connecting end (22) based on the brassiere strap adjustment ring (10), thereby achieving the adjustment of the length of the strap body (20).
Specifically referring to FIGS. 5 to 7, after fixing the fixed end (21) of the strap body (20) to the brassiere strap adjustment ring (10) with the corresponding stitching (30). Wherein the strap body (20) is folded back and threaded through the frame body (11). Specifically, the side where the fixed end (21) is located is designated as the rear side (111) of the brassiere strap adjustment ring (10). After folding the strap body (20), the connecting end (22) passes through the frame body (11) from the rear side (111) to the other side of the brassiere strap adjustment ring (10) via the second guiding hole (14), wherein the other side of the brassiere strap adjustment ring (10) is designated as the front side (112) of the brassiere strap adjustment ring (10). After further folding the strap body (20), the connecting end (22) passes through the frame body (11) from the front side (112) to the rear side (111) via the first guiding hole (13), thereby completing the installation of the adjustable shoulder strap.
Referring to FIG. 8, the section from the fixed end (21) of the strap body (20) to the second guiding hole (14) is referred to as the overlapping section (23) of the strap body (20), the section of the strap body (20) on the front side (112) is referred to as the transition section (24), and the section from the connecting end (22) of the strap body (20) to the first guiding hole (13) is referred to as the length section (25) of the strap body (20), allowing the overall length adjustment of the strap body (20) based on the length adjustment of the overlapping section (23) and the length section (25).
Specifically, referring to FIG. 9, by passing a portion of the length section (25) through the frame body (11) via the first guiding hole (13) to transition into the transition section (24), and by passing a portion of the transition section (24) through the frame body (11) via the second guiding hole (14) to transition into the overlapping section (23), the overall length of the strap body (20) is shortened. Conversely, by passing a portion of the overlapping section (23) through the frame body (11) via the second guiding hole (14) to transition into the transition section (24), and by passing a portion of the transition section (24) through the frame body (11) via the first guiding hole (13) to transition into the length section (25), the overall length of the strap body (20) is lengthened. Since the strap body (20) only passes through the first guiding hole (13) and the second guiding hole (14) once, there is only one layer of the strap body (20) in the first guiding hole (13) and the second guiding hole (14). Therefore, the strap body (20) does not occupy the entire space of the first guiding hole (13) and the second guiding hole (14), ensuring that the wearer can smoothly adjust the strap body (20).
Notably, referring to FIG. 6, wherein before the connecting end (22) of the strap body (20) passes through the second guiding hole (14), the connecting end (22) also passes through a connecting ring (40), wherein the connecting ring (40) can be fixed to either the cup or the back strap of the corresponding brassiere, wherein the connecting end (22) of the strap body (20) is connected to the other of the cup or the back strap, thereby connecting the adjustable shoulder strap to the brassiere. In one embodiment, wherein the connecting ring (40) may not be pre-set on the strap body (20), during the subsequent brassiere manufacturing process, a ring with an opening is set on the brassiere, and the overlapping section (23) of the strap body (20) is threaded through the opening to connect to the brassiere.
Specifically, the adjustable shoulder strap has only a single layer of the strap body (20) on the front side (112) and at most two layers of the strap body (20) on the rear side (111). And since the strap body (20) has at most only two overlapping layers, the adjustable shoulder strap does not require multiple layers at the adjustment position, thereby reducing thickness and achieving a seamless effect.
