Abstract:

Low cost easy to use Pants Aid that makes putting on lower garments simple. The Pants Aid holds the waist of the garment completely open. This allows placement of both feet and legs into the garment at the same time. Extremely light weight at only ounces it slides over legs and thighs easily with nothing to bind or hangup on. Four easy to squeeze clips hold the garment to the Pants Aid until the garment is high enough to grab and remove. The handles make it easy to raise the garment for dressing and the Velcro holds the Pants Aid in the perfect oval position to secure the garment, and fully opens the Pants Aid and waistband of garment when released.

Description

The Pants Aid device is a revolutionary groundbreaking solution designed to restore a person's dignity and independence. Millions of people suffer from some form of disability and can't properly dress themselves. This is especially undignified and embarrassing when it comes to putting on their own underwear and needing a stranger to help them. To ask anyone to do this is upsetting to both. The Pants Aid Device keeps the waist area securely open to allow the legs and feet to easily pass through. This effectively mitigates the physical strain and allows them to autonomously dress themselves.

It should be understood, of course, that the foregoing relates to the exemplary embodiments of the invention and that modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the claim.

“A” Plastic/vinyl band that simplifies the process of dressing without assistance by holding the entire waist area of the garment open for ease of raising them. Reducing dependence on others. Width dependent upon the length of 24″ up to 60″.

“B” Velcro Strip for holding the Pants Aid Device in a closed position making it smaller to fit inside the waistline of the garment. Once completely installed it will be released to allow the Pants Aid device to fully open the waistline of the garment. For independent ease of dressing.

“C” Cord or optional stiff shaft that connects the “E” handle” to the band “A” for ease of pulling up the garment without having to bend over.

“D” Clips on the outside of the band that go over the waist band of the garment to secure the garment to the Band “A”

“E”Handles attached to “C” for ease of lifting.

Claims

What is claimed:

1. An improved system or method for dressing oneself without assistance of others. A belt like device comprised of a plastic/vinyl band of variable width based on length. By placing the Pants Aid into the lower garment pants, underwear, shorts, skirts or any garment with a waist band and securing it with the 4 clips. You can release the Velcro expanding the Pants Aid inside the waistline of the garment. Then you can pull the garment up by the handles to a point where you can easily secure the garment to your waist without extreme bending over.
