Description

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED PATENT APPLICATION

This application claims the benefit of Korean Patent Application No. 10-2024-0151680, filed on October 31, 2024, in the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein in its entirety by reference.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to a spatula for combining a puff and a cosmetic applicator including the same.

BACKGROUND

Generally, cosmetics with a predetermined viscosity such as gel or cream are sold, for convenient use, in a cosmetic container that includes a body formed with a wide opening portion and a cap that is screw-combined with the body to open and close the opening portion of the body.

In order to use the cosmetics contained in such a cosmetic container, a user opens the cap, scoops out the cosmetics contained inside the body with a finger, and then applies the cosmetics to the face.

In this case, there is a possibility that a foreign substance on the user's finger may be mixed into the cosmetics. When the foreign substance is mixed into the cosmetics, a problem of a degradation of the cosmetics according to bacterial growth may occur. In addition, there is a possibility that the cosmetics are degraded due to heat of the finger.

In order to solve this problem, a spatula capable of applying the cosmetics to the face instead of the finger is being used. The spatula has an advantage of being able to thinly apply a base makeup such as foundation on the face, thereby attracting not only attention of experts but also attention of non-experts for a purpose of creating a natural base makeup that accentuates skin texture.

However, when performing the base makeup using the spatula, there is a problem when the cosmetics applied to the spatula is only spread on the face, the cosmetics are not sufficiently adhered to the face, and thus completeness of the base makeup is deteriorated.

Accordingly, in order to improve the completeness of the base makeup, it is necessary not only to spread the cosmetics applied to the spatula on the face, but also to spread the cosmetics applied to the spatula on the face and then use a puff to adhere the cosmetics to the face.

However, since the spatula and the puff should be individually possessed in order for the user to perform this process, there is a problem that portability is deteriorated and inconvenience of the user is caused.

Accordingly, there is a need to develop technology for a cosmetic applicator that may improve portability and alleviate the user's inconvenience by combining and integrating the spatula and the puff.

FIG. 1 is a rear view of a cosmetic applicator according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 2 is a front view of the cosmetic applicator in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing a spatula for combining a puff of the cosmetic applicator in FIG. 1, and FIG. 4 is a view showing a state in which a user's finger is inserted into a band connecting portion of a puff in a state in which a spatula body of the cosmetic applicator in FIG. 1 is combined with the puff.

Referring to FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, a cosmetic applicator 1 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a spatula for combining a puff 10 and a puff 20.

The spatula for combining a puff 10 may apply cosmetics to the user's face.

To this end, the spatula for combining a puff 10 may include a spatula body 11 that is combined with the puff 20. The spatula body 11 may be made of a material having a strength greater than a strength of a cushion body 21 of the puff 20 to be described later.

The spatula body 11 may be provided in a predetermined shape. The shape of the spatula body 11 may be formed by being surrounded by an upper surface 111, a lower surface 112, and a side surface 113.

The upper surface 111 may include a first upper surface portion 1111, a second upper surface portion 1112, and a third upper surface portion 1113. The first upper surface portion 1111, the second upper surface portion 1112, and the third upper surface portion 1113 may be formed integrally.

The first upper surface portion 1111 may be disposed to be spaced apart by a first distance D1 based on the lower surface 112. An application surface 115 on which the cosmetics are applied may be provided in the first upper surface portion 1111.

When a band 22 of the puff 20 is connected to a band connecting portion 114 formed on the side surface 113 to be described later, the application surface 115 may be disposed out side the cushion body 21 of the puff 20. Accordingly, the cosmetics may be applied only to the application surface 115 without attaching to the cushion body 21 of the puff 20. Even when the spatula for combining a puff 10 and the puff 20 are combined, a part in which the spatula for combining a puff 10 and the puff 20 do not interfere with each other may be provided.

The second upper surface portion 1112 may be disposed to be spaced apart by a second distance D2 that is different from the first distance D1 based on the lower surface 112. For example, the second distance D2 may be smaller than the first distance D1.

The third upper surface portion 1113 may connect the first upper surface portion 1111 and the second upper surface portion 1112 so that a puff exposure space in which at least a part of the puff 20 combined with the spatula body 11 is exposed is formed between the first upper surface portion 1111 and the second upper surface portion 1112.

The lower surface 112 may be disposed to face the upper surface 111. The lower surface 112 may mutually connect a pair of connecting side portions 1133 of the side surface 113 to be described later.

The band connecting portion 114 may be formed on the side surface 113. The band connecting portion 114 is a part to which the band 22 of the puff 20 provided so that the user's finger is inserted thereinto is connected and this will be described later.

The side surface 113 may include a rear side surface portion 1131, a front side surface portion 1132, and a connecting side portion 1133 that connects the rear side surface portion 1131 and the front side surface portion 1132. The rear side surface portion 1131, the front side surface portion 1132, and the connecting side portion 1133 may be formed integrally.

When the band 22 of the puff 20 is connected to the band connecting portion 114, the rear side surface portion 1131 may be disposed to face a wide surface of the band 22 of the puff 20. At least a part of the rear side surface portion 1131 may support the user's finger that is inserted into the band 22 of the puff 20. The rear side surface portion 1131 may be understood as a side surface that does not face the cushion body 21 when the puff 20 is combined with the spatula body 11.

When the band 22 of the puff 20 is connected to the band connecting portion 114, at least a part 211 of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 may be disposed and exposed so as to overlap with the puff exposure space formed between the first upper surface portion 1111 and the second upper surface portion 1112. Here, the exposure may be understood as the puff 20 is not obscured by the spatula body 11 when viewing the cosmetic applicator 1 from the rear. The user may apply the cosmetics attached to at least a part 211 of the exposed cushion body 21 to the skin.

At least a part 211 of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 exposed through the puff exposure space between the first upper surface portion 1111 and the second upper surface portion 1112 may be deformed due to pressure applied by the user's finger.

As shown in FIG. 4, when the user moves the finger from the rear side surface portion 1131 toward the front side surface portion 1132, the pressure may be transmitted to at least a part 211 of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 exposed through the puff exposure space. The pressure transmitted to the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 may induce a deformation of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20. It is possible to adhere the cosmetics to a curved area of the user's face due to the deformation of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20.

The front side surface portion 1132 is a part of which the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 is disposed in front when the band 22 of the puff 20 is connected to the band connecting portion 114 and may be disposed to face the rear side surface portion 1131. That is,

the front side surface portion 1132 may be understood as a part that faces the cushion body 21 when the spatula body 11 and the puff 20 are combined.

When the band 22 of the puff 20 is connected to the band connecting portion 114, at least a part of the front side surface portion 1132 may support the remaining part of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20. Accordingly, even when the pressure is applied by the user's finger to the remaining part of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20, the remaining part of the cushion body 21 may not be deformed. Here, the remaining part of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 refers to the remaining part excluding the part that is exposed to the puff exposure space formed between the first upper surface portion 1111 and the second upper surface portion 1112.

The connecting side portion 1133 may connect the rear side surface portion 1131 and the front side surface portion 1132. The band connecting portion 114 may be formed in the connecting side portion 1133. The band connecting portion 114 may be formed by cutting at least a part of the connecting side portion 1133. The band connecting portion 114 may be a cut groove 1141 formed by cutting at least a part of the connecting side portion 1133.

The connecting side portion 1133 may be provided as a pair disposed to face each other. The cut groove 1141 may include a pair of recessed side wall portions 1141-1 formed to be recessed from any one of the pair of connecting side portions 1133 toward the other one, and a connecting side wall portion 1141-2 that connects the pair of recessed side wall portions 1141-1.

The pair of recessed side wall portions 1141-1 may be disposed to be spaced apart in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the pair of connecting side portions 1133 faces each other. Accordingly, the pair of recessed side wall portions 1141-1 may block the band 22 of the puff 20 from moving in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the pair of connecting side portions 1133 faces each other.

The puff 20 may adhere the cosmetics applied to the user's face through the spatula for combining a puff 10 to the user's face.

To this end, the puff 20 may include the cushion body 21 made of a material having a strength smaller than a strength of the spatula body 11 and the band 22 that is connected to the cushion body 21, connected to the band connecting portion 114 formed on the side surface 113 of the spatula body 11, and provided so that the user's finger is inserted thereinto.

The cushion body 21 may tap the cosmetics applied to the user's face through the spatula body 11 so that the cosmetics are adhered to the user's face.

When the band 22 is connected to the band connecting portion 114 formed on the side surface 113 of the spatula body 11, at least a part 211 of the cushion body 21 may be disposed so as not to overlap with the spatula body 11. Here, overlapping may be understood as the puff 20 overlaps with the spatula body 11 when viewing the cosmetic applicator 1 from the rear. A shape of at least a part 211 of the cushion body 21 disposed so as not to overlap with the spatula body 11 may be deformed in response to the pressure applied by the user's finger. The shape of at least a part 211 of the cushion body 21 is deformed to be curved from the rear toward the front, so that at least a part 211 of the cushion body 21 may be adhered to the curved area of the user's face.

When the band 22 is connected to the band connecting portion 114 formed on the side surface 113 of the spatula body 11, the remaining part of the cushion body 21 may be supported by the front side surface portion 1132 of the side surface 113 of the spatula body 11. Accordingly, even when the pressure is applied by the user's finger to the remaining part of the cushion body 21, the remaining part of the cushion body 21 may not be deformed. That is, the remaining part of the cushion body 21 may be compressed while substantially maintaining an overall shape (approximately circular shape). Here, the remaining part of the cushion body 21 refers to the remaining part excluding the part exposed to the puff exposure space formed between the first upper surface portion 1111 and the second upper surface portion 1112 of the spatula body 11.

The band 22 may be connected to the band connecting portion 114 formed on the side surface 113 of the spatula body 11. The band 22, for example, may be made of an elastic material. When the band 22 is elastically fixed to the band connecting portion 114, the band 22 may elastically support the user's finger.

Accordingly, even when the spatula for combining a puff 10a and the puff 20 are combined and integrated, the spatula for combining a puff 10a and the puff 20 may not interfere with each other.

Hereinafter, a modified example of a band connecting portion of a spatula for combining a puff of a cosmetic applicator according to another embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIG. 9.

FIG. 9 is a front view showing a modified example of the band connecting portion of the spatula for combining a puff of the cosmetic applicator in FIG. 5.

Referring to FIG. 9, a band connecting portion 114b may include a pair of first slits 1143. The first slit 1143 may be distinguished into a first extended portion 1143-1 extended from the upper surface 111a toward the lower surface 112 and a second extended portion 1143-2 extended from an end portion of the first extended portion 1143-1 from the upper surface 111a toward the lower surface 112. The first extended portion 1143-1 and the second extended portion 1143-2 may be formed integrally.

In order for the puff 20 to be combined with the spatula for combining a puff 10a, the band 22 of the puff 20 may enter the first extended portion 1143-1 and move to the second extended portion 1143-2. When a replacement of the puff 20 combined with the spatula for combining a puff 10a is required, the band 22 of the puff 20 may pass through the second extended portion 1143-2 and the first extended portion 1143-1 sequentially and may be completely removed through the first extended portion 1143-1.

The second extended portion 1143-2 may be formed to be wider than the first extended portion 1143-1. Accordingly, a movement of the band 22 of the puff 20 disposed in the second extended portion 1143-2 may be freer than a movement of the band 22 of the puff 20 disposed in the first extended portion 1143-1.

The movement of the band 22 of the puff 20 disposed in the second extended portion 1143-2 allows the pressure applied by the user's finger to be better transmitted to at least a part 211a (refer to FIG. 7) of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 exposed through the puff exposure space formed between the first upper surface portion 1111a and the second upper surface portion 1112a. Since the pressure is well transmitted to the cushion body 21 of the puff 20, the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 is also well deformed, and thus the cosmetics may be easily adhered to the curved area of the user's face due to the deformation of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20.

Hereinafter, a cosmetic applicator according to still another embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIG. 10 to FIG. 13.

FIG. 10 is a rear view of a cosmetic applicator according to still another embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 11 is a front view of the cosmetic applicator in FIG. 10, FIG. 12 is a view showing a state in which a user's finger is inserted into a band connecting portion of a puff in a state in which a spatula body of the cosmetic applicator in FIG. 10 is combined with the puff, and FIG. 13 is a front view showing an example of a band connecting portion of a spatula for combining a puff of the cosmetic applicator in FIG. 10.

Referring to FIG. 10 to FIG. 13, a cosmetic applicator 1b according to still another embodiment of the present disclosure may include a spatula for combining a puff 10b and a puff 20. However, the cosmetic applicator 1b shown in FIG. 10 to FIG. 13 is substantially the same as the cosmetic applicator 1 described with reference to FIG. 1 to FIG. 4 or the cosmetic applicator 1a described with reference to FIG. 5 to FIG. 8 except for the spatula for combining a puff 10b, and thus redundant descriptions will be omitted hereinafter and the spatula for combining a puff 10b corresponding to the difference will be described.

The spatula for combining a puff 10b may include a spatula body 11b that is combined with the puff 20. The spatula body 11b may be provided in a predetermined shape and the shape may be formed by being surrounded by an upper surface 111b, a lower surface 112, and a side surface 113b. However, the lower surface 112 is substantially the same as the lower surface 112 described with reference to FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, and thus redundant descriptions will be omitted hereinafter and the upper surface 111b and the side surface 113b will be described.

The upper surface 111b may include a first upper surface portion 1111b disposed to be spaced apart by a first distance D5 based on the lower surface 112, a second upper surface portion 1112b disposed to be spaced apart by a second distance D6 that is different from the first distance D5 based on the lower surface 112, and a third upper surface portion 1113b connecting the first upper surface portion 1111b and the second upper surface portion 1112b so that a puff exposure space in which at least a part of the puff 20 combined with the spatula body 11a is exposed is formed between the first upper surface portion 1111b and the second upper surface portion 1112b. The first upper surface portion 1111b, the second upper surface portion 1112b, and the third upper surface portion 1113b may be formed integrally.

A band connecting portion 114c to which the band 22 of the puff 20 provided so that the user's finger is inserted thereinto is connected may be formed in the first upper surface portion 1111b and the second upper surface portion 1112b. The band connecting portion 114c may be a pair of second slits 1144 extended from the upper surface 111b toward the lower surface 112. The pair of second slits 1144 may communicate the rear side surface portion 1131b and the front side surface portion 1132b of the side surface 113b to be described later forward and backward. The pair of second slits 1144 may be disposed to be spaced apart by a length of the band 22 of the puff 20.

As shown in FIG. 13, a degree (E1) of which any one of the pair of second slits 1144 is extended from the upper surface 111b toward the lower surface 112 may be provided to be different from a degree (E2) of which the other one of the pair of second slits 1144 is extended from the upper surface 111b toward the lower surface 112.

The side surface 113b may include the rear side surface portion 1131b, the front side surface portion 1132b, and a connecting side portion 1133b. The rear side surface portion 1131b, the front side surface portion 1132b, and the connecting side portion 1133b may be formed integrally.

The rear side surface portion 1131b is a part of which the band 22 of the puff 20 is disposed in front when the band 22 of the puff 20 is connected to the band connecting portion 114c, and at least a part of the rear side surface portion 1131b may support the user's finger inserted into the band 22 of the puff 20.

When the band 22 of the puff 20 is connected to the band connecting portion 114c, at least a part 211b of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 may be disposed to overlap with a puff exposure space formed between the first upper surface portion 1111b and the second upper surface portion 1112b.

At least a part 211b of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 exposed through the puff exposure space formed between the first upper surface portion 1111b and the second upper surface portion 1112b may be deformed due to pressure applied by the user's finger. For example, as shown in FIG. 10, the user may deform the shape of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 by moving the finger from the rear side surface portion 1131b toward the front side surface portion 1132b to press at least a part 211b of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 exposed through the puff exposure space. It is possible to adhere the cosmetics to a curved area of the user's face due to the deformation of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20.

An application surface 115b on which the cosmetics are applied may be provided in the connecting side portion 1133b. When the band 22 of the puff 20 is fitted into the second slit 1144, the application surface 115b may be disposed out side the cushion body 21 of the puff 20. Accordingly, the cosmetics may be applied on the application surface 115b before being applied to the cushion body 21 of the puff 20. Accordingly, even when the spatula for combining a puff 10b and the puff 20 are combined and integrated, the spatula for combining a puff 10b and the puff 20 may not interfere with each other.

Hereinafter, a modified example of a band connecting portion of a spatula for combining a puff of the cosmetic applicator according to still another embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIG. 14.

FIG. 14 is a front view showing a modified example of the band connecting portion of the spatula for combining a puff of the cosmetic applicator in FIG. 10.

Referring to FIG. 14, a band connecting portion 114d may include a pair of second slits 1145, and the second slits 1145 may be distinguished into a first extended portion 1145-1 and a second extended portion 1145-2.

The second slit 1145 may be distinguished into the first extended portion 1145-1 extended from the upper surface 111b toward the lower surface 112 and the second extended portion 1145-2 extended from an end portion of the first extended portion 1145-1. The first extended portion 1145-1 and the second extended portion 1145-2 may be formed integrally.

In order for the puff 20 to be combined with the spatula for combining a puff 10b, the band 22 of the puff 20 may enter the first extended portion 1145-1 and move to the second extended portion 1145-1. When a replacement of the puff 20 combined with the spatula for combining a puff 10b is required, the band 22 of the puff 20 may pass through the second extended portion 1145-2 and the first extended portion 1145-1 sequentially and may be completely removed through the first extended portion 1145-1.

The second extended portion 1145-2 may be formed to be wider than the first extended portion 1145-1. Accordingly, a movement of the band 22 of the puff 20 disposed in the second extended portion 1145-2 may be freer than a movement of the band 22 of the puff 20 disposed in the first extended portion 1145-1.

The movement of the band 22 of the puff 20 disposed in the second extended portion 1145-2 allows the pressure applied by the user's finger to be better transmitted to at least a part 211b (refer to FIG. 12) of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 exposed through the puff exposure space formed between the first upper surface portion 1111b and the second upper surface portion 1112b. Since the pressure is well transmitted to the cushion body 21 of the puff 20, the cushion body 21 of the puff 20 is also well deformed, and thus the cosmetics may be easily adhered to the curved area of the user's face due to the deformation of the cushion body 21 of the puff 20.
