Description

RELATED APPLICATION

This application claims the benefit of priority from French Patent Application No. 24 13816, filed on Dec. 10, 2024 and French Patent Application No. 25 05907, Jun. 2, 2025, the entirety of which are incorporated by reference.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention concerns the field of garbage bags.

It concerns in particular a garbage bag with a detachable tie, a roll of garbage bags with a detachable tie, and a method of manufacturing a garbage bag with a detachable tie.

TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND

Garbage bags can generally be differentiated by their closure system.

Garbage bags with a detachable tie include a detachable tie (also called a “traditional tie” or “classic tie”), generally made of plastic, one end of which is welded to the bottom of the garbage bag (at the level of a bottom weld, for example a flat or star-shape weld) and the other end of which is free on the outside of the garbage bag. In order to close the garbage bag the user must first detach the tie from the garbage bag and secondly then tie it manually around the mouth of the garbage bag. Garbage bags with a detachable tie are of relatively low cost but necessitate two manual steps to close the garbage bag as indicated hereinabove. Furthermore the detachable tie can sometimes be difficult for the user to find. It can equally be lost, for example after stepping on it, and can therefore end up in the natural environment as a pollutant.

There exist garbage bags with a detachable tie in the “Handy Bag” “Lien Pratique®” range which, in contrast with traditional garbage bags with a detachable tie, include a detachable tie the free end of which is fixed to the top of the garbage bag on the outside by self-adhesive means. However, fixing a detachable tie by self-adhesive means complicates the method of manufacturing the garbage bag.

Garbage bags with a sliding tie are equipped with a sliding tie, generally made of plastic, which is inserted in a hem at the top of the garbage bag, that is to say at the level of its mouth. To close the garbage bag it suffices to pull on the tie. Garbage bags with a sliding tie are easy to close and to transport thanks to the presence of the sliding tie. However, they are often more costly than garbage bags with a detachable tie. Furthermore the sliding tie can sometimes break if the garbage bag is overfilled and is therefore too heavy.

Garbage bags with tie handles are more costly than garbage bags with a detachable tie. To close the garbage bag it suffices to tie the tie handles together. Garbage bags with tie handles are very easy to close and to transport thanks to the tie handles. Indeed the tie handles make them comfortable to hold. However garbage bags with tie handles offer less secure closure than garbage bags with a detachable or sliding tie. Furthermore the tie handles can tear if the garbage bag is overfilled and is therefore too heavy.

The invention is aimed at further improvement of garbage bags with a detachable tie and their methods of manufacture and in particular remedying some or all of the above disadvantages.

It is aimed in particular at further improvement of the sealing of garbage bags with a detachable tie to limit or even to eliminate the risk of the user not being able to find the detachable tie and/or to limit or even to eliminate the risk of the detachable tie being lost.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Garbage Bag with a Detachable Tie

In a first of its aspects the invention therefore has for object a garbage bag with a detachable tie, including:

    • a first portion of a plastic film and a second portion of a plastic film, the first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion overlapping, in particular overlapping completely, and being welded to one another along two lateral weld lines, in particular parallel lateral weld lines, in such a manner as to form two lateral edges, in particular parallel lateral edges, of the garbage bag,
    • a mouth,
    • a bottom opposite the mouth,
    • a detachable tie welded to the first plastic film portion and/or to the second plastic film portion at the level of at least one attachment zone corresponding to or situated at a portion of at least one of the two lateral weld lines.

By “mouth” is meant the opening of the garbage bag through which objects, for example waste, can be placed inside the garbage bag.

The mouth of a garbage bag can equally be called the opening.

By “detachable tie” is meant a tie that can be easily detached from the garbage bag by the user by exerting a traction force on the tie, in contrast to a sliding tie. The detachable tie when detached can then be tied manually around the mouth of the garbage bag so as to close it.

The detachable tie can be completely detached from the garbage bag, in particular at the level of the attachment zone or zones.

The detachable tie can be configured to be completely detached from the garbage bag, in particular at the level of the attachment zone or zones.

The detachable tie can be welded to the first plastic film portion and/or to the second plastic film portion at the level of two attachment zones corresponding to or situated on a portion of each of the two lateral weld lines in such a manner as to extend between the two lateral weld lines. This means that each of the ends of the detachable tie can be welded to a respective lateral weld line in such a manner that the detachable tie extends between the two lateral weld lines. This facilitates identification of the detachable tie by the user compared to a detachable tie that is free at one of its ends.

The detachable tie can be welded to the first plastic film portion and/or to the second plastic film portion only at the level of an attachment zone. In this case the tie is preferably detachable at the level of said attachment zone.

Alternatively the detachable tie is welded to the first plastic film portion and/or to the second plastic film portion only at the level of two attachment points, one corresponding to or situated on a portion of one of the two lateral weld lines and the other corresponding to or situated on a portion of the other lateral weld line. In this case the tie is preferably detachable at the level of each attachment zone.

In one embodiment of the invention the detachable tie extends between the first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion. This can make it possible to position the detachable tie inside the garbage bag. Compared to a detachable tie positioned outside the garbage bag this can make it possible to limit or to eliminate the risk of the detachable tie being lost, for example after stepping on it. This can also make it possible, when the garbage bag is placed inside a bin and the mouth of the garbage bag comes to cover the top part of the bin, for the detachable tie to be positioned outside the bin. This then facilitates for the user's access to the detachable tie when the garbage bag is placed inside a bin.

A detachable tie preferably extends in the direction of the width of the garbage bag, in particular between the two lateral weld lines.

The detachable tie is preferably inside the garbage bag, in particular between the first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion.

The attachment zone or zones can be situated at the level of the top third, preferably at the level of the top quarter, of the height of the garbage bag.

By “the top third of the height of the garbage bag” or “the top quarter of the height of the garbage bag” is respectively meant one third or one quarter of the height of the garbage bag that is situated at the level of the mouth of the garbage bag.

This can make it possible to position the detachable tie in the top part of the garbage bag, that is to say at the level of its mouth. This can be advantageous, for example if the garbage bag is placed inside a bin and the mouth of the garbage bag comes to cover the top part of the bin, in that the detachable tie ends up outside the bin. This then facilitates for the user access to the detachable tie when the garbage bag is placed inside a bin.

For example the or each attachment zone is situated at a distance less than or equal to 30 cm, preferably less than or equal to 20 cm, more preferably less than or equal to 10 cm, from the mouth of and toward the bottom of the garbage bag along a lateral edge of the garbage bag.

In one example the or each attachment zone is situated at a distance less than or equal to 5 cm, preferably less than or equal to 4.5 cm, more preferably less than or equal to 4 cm, even more preferably less than or equal to 3.5 cm from the mouth of and toward the bottom of the garbage bag along a lateral edge of the garbage bag.

The mouth can have two free edges.

The free edges are preferably parallel to one another.

The free edges are preferably perpendicular to the lateral edges.

In one embodiment the mouth has no hem.

In another embodiment the mouth includes a hem on each of the first and second plastic film portions. This can make it possible to strengthen the garbage bag at the level of its mouth, which can for example be of benefit when the garbage bag is placed inside a bin and the mouth of the garbage bag comes to cover the top part of the bin. Furthermore the presence of hems at the level of the mouth of the garbage bag, for example hems on the outside of the garbage bag, can make it possible to facilitate holding of the garbage bag by the user, on the one hand to open the garbage bag and on the other hand to insert the garbage bag in a bin.

The hems can have a height less than or equal to 10 cm, preferably less than or equal to 7 cm, more preferably less than or equal to 6 cm, even more preferably less than or equal to 5 cm, or even less than or equal to 4 cm.

Additionally the hems can have a height greater than or equal to 2 cm.

For example the hems can have a height between 2 cm and 7 cm, preferably between 2 cm and 6 cm, more preferably between 2 cm and 5 cm, even more preferably between 2 cm and 4 cm.

The hems can have a height less than or equal to 5 cm, preferably less than or equal to 4.5 cm, more preferably less than or equal to 4 cm, even more preferably less than or equal to 3.5 cm, in particular less than or equal to 3 cm, or even less than or equal to 2.5 cm. The hems can therefore have a small height. This can enable the use of a smaller quantity of plastic film when manufacturing a garbage bag of given height or can make it possible to limit the reduction of the height of the garbage bag caused by the presence of hems when manufacturing a garbage bag with a given quantity of plastic film.

The hems can have a height between 1 cm and 5 cm, preferably between 1.5 cm and 4.5 cm, more preferably between 2 cm and 4 cm, even more preferably between 2.5 cm and 3.5 cm.

In one embodiment of the invention the hems have a height between 1.5 cm and 3.5 cm, preferably between 1.7 cm and 3.3 cm, more preferably between 1.9 cm and 3.1 cm, even more preferably between 2.1 cm and 2.9 cm, in particular between 2.3 cm and 2.7 cm.

In another embodiment of the invention the hems have a height between 2.5 cm and 4.5 cm, preferably between 2.7 cm and 4.3 cm, more preferably between 2.9 cm and 4.1 cm, even more preferably between 3.1 cm and 3.9 cm, in particular between 3.3 cm and 3.7 cm.

The hems can be on the inside of the garbage bag or on the outside of the garbage bag.

In one embodiment of the invention the hems are on the outside of the garbage bag. The presence of such hems at the level of the mouth of the garbage bag can make it possible to facilitate identification of the mouth of the garbage bag by the user.

The inside of the garbage bag can be black and/or the outside of the garbage bag can be grey.

In one embodiment of the invention the inside of the garbage bag is black and the outside of the garbage bag is grey. The first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion can therefore each have one black side and one grey side.

In one embodiment of the invention the inside of the garbage bag is black, the outside of the garbage bag is grey, the mouth includes a hem on each of the first and second plastic film portions, and the hems are on the outside of the garbage bag. In this embodiment of the invention the hems visible on the outside of the garbage bag are therefore black while the remainder of the outside of the garbage bag is grey. Such a colour difference can make it possible to facilitate even more the identification of the mouth of the garbage bag by the user.

Each hem is preferably welded along the two lateral weld lines, in particular welded only there.

The detachable tie is preferably welded to the lateral weld line portions to which the hems are welded.

Each hem is preferably not welded along a line extending between the two lateral weld lines.

In a preferred embodiment each hem is welded only along the two lateral weld lines. Each hem is therefore not also welded along a line extending between the two lateral weld lines, in contrast to the hems of garbage bags with a sliding tie.

The attachment zone or zones can be situated at the level of a portion of at least one, preferably of each, of the two lateral weld lines that is situated at the level of the hems.

Thus the detachable ties are preferably welded at the level of the hems. This is particularly advantageous in that this can make it possible to strengthen the garbage bag at the level of the attachment zone or zones and thus to limit or even eliminate the risk of the garbage bag tearing at the level of the lateral welds when the user detaches the tie from the garbage bag.

The bottom of the garbage bag preferably has no bottom weld. This can make it possible to strengthen the seal of the garbage bag.

The first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion can be portions of the same plastic film.

Said plastic film can be folded on itself along a fold line in such a manner that the first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion are on respective opposite sides of the fold line.

The fold line can constitute the bottom of the garbage bag.

The detachable tie can have a width less than or equal to 10 mm, preferably less than or equal to 8 mm, more preferably less than or equal to 7 mm, even more preferably less than or equal to 6 mm, or even less than or equal to 5 mm.

For example the detachable tie has a width equal to 8 mm, 5 mm, 4.5 mm or 4 mm.

In one embodiment of the invention the detachable tie has a width between 7 mm and 9 mm, preferably between 7.2 mm and 8.8 mm, more preferably between 7.4 mm and 8.6 mm, even more preferably between 7.6 mm and 8.4 mm, in particular between 7.8 mm and 8.2 mm.

The first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion can have a thickness between 15 μm and 80 μm, preferably between 20 μm and 40 μm, more preferably between 24 μm and 37 μm.

The thickness of the first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion can be chosen as a function of the toughness, the strength and the seal required. In fact the thicker the first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion the more the toughness, strength and seal of the garbage bag will be increased.

The first and second plastic film portions are preferably the same thickness.

The detachable tie can have a thickness between 15 μm and 35 μm, preferably between 20 μm and 30 μm, more preferably between 24 μm and 28 μm.

The first plastic film portion, the second plastic film portion and the detachable tie can each be made of a thermofusible material, preferably chosen from a material based on polyethylene and/or polypropylene, more preferably chosen from a material based on polyethylene, even more preferably chosen from a material based on low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and/or linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), or even chosen from a material based on low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and/or high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

The thermofusible material, preferably chosen from a material based on polyethylene and/or polypropylene, more preferably chosen from a material based on polyethylene, even more preferably chosen from a material based on low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and/or linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), or even chosen from a material based on low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and/or high-density polyethylene (HDPE), can optionally be at least in part a recycled material.

The first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion are preferably made of the same thermofusible material.

The first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion, on the one hand, and the detachable tie, on the other hand, can be made of the same thermofusible material and/or made of different thermofusible materials.

For example the first plastic film portion and the second plastic film portion are made of a material based on low-density polyethylene (LDPE).

For example the detachable tie is made from a material based on high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

The garbage bag can have a capacity between 5 L and 150 L, in particular a capacity of 10 L, 20 L, 30 L, 40 L, 50 L, 100 L or 130 L.

The width of the garbage bag is equal to the distance between the lateral sides of the garbage bag.

The height of the garbage bag is equal to the distance between the bottom and the mouth of the garbage bag, in particular the distance between the fold line and the free edges of the garbage bag.

In one embodiment of the invention the detachable tie has a length equal to the width of the garbage bag.

This is particularly advantageous in that the detachable tie is then shorter than that of prior art garbage bags with a detachable tie that have a length that is generally equal to the height of the garbage bag. The garbage bag according to the invention can therefore make it possible to reduce the length of the detachable tie and therefore enable a saving of material and producing less plastic waste.

The detachable tie preferably does not have a tear starter or line, in particular a pre-cut line.

Such a tear starter or line, in particular a precut line, can mean that the detachable tie can be cut into two distinct parts.

The detachable tie preferably cannot be cut into two distinct parts.

The lateral weld lines are preferably continuous.

The width of the lateral weld lines can be between 0.5 mm and 3 mm, preferably between 1 mm and 2.5 mm, more preferably between 1.5 mm and 2 mm.

The welds can be induction welds, high-frequency welds, ultrasound welds, conduction welds, laser welds or hot gas heating welds.

The garbage bag preferably conforms to the standard NF EN 13592, in particular in terms of opacity, mechanical strength, seal, strength of the detachable tie.

Roll of Garbage Bags with a Detachable Tie

Another aspect of the invention further has for object a roll of garbage bags with a detachable tie as defined hereinabove.

The roll of garbage bags can include between 3 and 100 garbage bags, preferably between 4 and 50 garbage bags, more preferably between 5 and 35 garbage bags.

In one embodiment of the invention the garbage bags are pre-cut and wound around an axis parallel to the lateral weld lines of the garbage bags in such a manner as to form a continuous roll of pre-cut garbage bags.

In another embodiment of the invention the garbage bags are detached from one another and wound around an axis parallel to the lateral weld lines of the garbage bags in such a manner that the garbage bags overlap in the roll (also known as a “sack by sack” roll, “interleaf” roll or “interleaved” roll).

Method of Manufacturing a Garbage Bag with a Detachable Tie

In another of its aspects the invention further has for object a method of manufacturing a garbage bag with a detachable tie as defined hereinabove, the method including the steps consisting of:

    • a) obtaining a plastic film in half-tube form, the plastic film including:
      • a fold line,
      • a first portion and a second portion separated by the fold line, the plastic film being folded on itself along the fold line in such a manner that the first portion and the second portion overlap, in particular overlap completely,
    • b) positioning the detachable tie between the first portion and the second portion of the plastic film at the level of a first lateral weld line preferably perpendicular to the fold line of the plastic film,
    • c) making a weld along the first lateral weld line in such a manner as, on the one hand, to weld the detachable tie to the first portion and to the second portion and, on the other hand, to weld the first portion to the second portion thereby forming a first lateral edge of the garbage bag,
    • d) extending the detachable tie from the first lateral weld line to a second lateral weld line preferably distinct from and parallel to the first lateral weld line, between the first portion and the second portion of the plastic film, preferably in a direction parallel to the fold line,
    • e) making a weld along the second lateral weld line in such a manner as, on the one hand, to weld the detachable tie to the first portion and to the second portion and, on the other hand, to weld the first portion to the second portion thereby forming a second lateral edge of the garbage bag.

The fold line preferably constitutes the bottom of the garbage bag.

The plastic film in half-tube form preferably includes two free edges opposite the fold line.

The two free edges are preferably parallel to one another and parallel to the fold line.

The free edges preferably constitute the mouth of the garbage bag.

The detachable tie is preferably packaged in the form of a roll.

The step b) can be executed by introducing a tube, in particular a metal tube, for example an aluminium-based tube, between the first and second portions of the plastic film in half-tube form, the detachable tie being inside the tube.

The tube can therefore serve as a guide for the detachable tie as it moves.

The tube can be introduced at the level of the free edges of the plastic film in half-tube form, preferably perpendicularly to the fold line.

The plastic film in half-tube form is preferably wound around an axis perpendicular to the fold line to form a roll.

The plastic film in half-tube form is preferably obtained from a plastic film in tube form, in particular by cutting the tube along a cutting line extending along the longitudinal axis of the tube.

In one embodiment of the invention the method includes before the step a) steps consisting in:

    • obtaining a plastic film in tube form, then
    • cutting the tube along a cutting line extending along the longitudinal axis of the tube, in such a manner as to form two plastic films in half-tube form.

In this embodiment of the invention the plastic film in half-tube form in the step a) is one of the two plastic films in half-tube form obtained after the step of cutting the tube.

In this embodiment of the invention the step of cutting the tube can enable the creation of two free edges on each of the two plastic films in half-tube form obtained.

The plastic film in tube form preferably includes two parallel fold lines extending along the longitudinal axis of the tube.

The cutting line is situated between the two fold lines, preferably halfway between the two fold lines.

The cutting line and the two fold lines are preferably parallel to one another.

The plastic film in tube form is preferably wound around an axis perpendicular to the cutting line in such a manner as to form a roll.

In one embodiment of the invention the method includes between the steps a) and b) a step consisting in:

    • printing the plastic film in half-tube form.

The printing can include one or more alphanumeric characters and/or one or more logos.

The printing step is preferably carried out in a registered manner.

For example a cylinder is used around which the garbage bag is wound, the perimeter of the base of the cylinder being equal to the width of the garbage bag. Thus when the cylinder performs one turn this corresponds to printing one garbage bag.

In one embodiment of the invention the method includes after the step e) a step consisting in:

    • f) making at least one precut along the first lateral weld line and/or the second lateral weld line.

The step f) can make it possible to facilitate subsequent cutting between two adjacent garbage bags and in particular subsequent cutting of the detachable tie between two adjacent garbage bags.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENT(S)

In the figures, and unless otherwise specified, identical elements bear the same reference sign.

One example of a garbage bag 1 with a detachable tie according to the invention is represented in FIG. 1.

The garbage bag 1 includes:

    • a first portion 2 of a plastic film and a second portion 3 of a plastic film, the first plastic film portion 2 and the second plastic film portion 3 overlapping, in particular overlapping completely, and being welded to one another along two lateral weld lines 4, 5, in particular parallel lateral weld lines, in such a manner as to form two lateral edges 6, 7, in particular parallel lateral edges, of the garbage bag 1,
    • a mouth 8,
    • a bottom 9 opposite the mouth 8,
    • a detachable tie 10 welded to the first plastic film portion 2 and/or to the second plastic film portion 3 at the level of at least one attachment zone 11 corresponding to or situated on a portion of at least one of the two lateral weld lines 4, 5.

In the example depicted in FIG. 1 the detachable tie 10 has one end welded at the level of the attachment zone 11 and a free end 12.

In this example the detachable tie 10 extends between the first plastic film portion 2 and the second plastic film portion 3. The detachable tie 10 is therefore inside the garbage bag 1.

In this example the mouth 8 has two free edges 13, 14.

As depicted in FIG. 1 the attachment zone 11 is situated at the level of the upper third of the height of the garbage bag 1 and therefore in the top part of the garbage bag 1.

Another example of a garbage bag 1 with a detachable tie according to the invention is represented in FIGS. 2 to 4.

In the example depicted in FIGS. 2 to 4 the detachable tie 10 is welded to the first plastic film portion 2 and/or to the second plastic film portion 3 at the level of two attachment zones 11, 15 corresponding to or situated on a portion of each of the two lateral weld lines 4, 5 in such a manner as to extend between the two lateral weld lines 4, 5.

As depicted in FIGS. 2 to 4 the attachment zones 11, 15 are situated at the level of the top third of the height of the garbage bag 1 and therefore in the top part of the garbage bag 1.

As depicted in FIG. 4 the detachable tie 10 has a width l and a length L.

The width l of the detachable tie 10 is preferably less than or equal to 10 mm, preferably less than or equal to 8 mm, more preferably less than or equal to 7 mm, even more preferably less than or equal to 6 mm, or even less than or equal to 5 mm.

The length L of the detachable tie 10 is preferably equal to the width of the garbage bag, that is to say equal to the distance between the lateral edges 6, 7 of the garbage bag.

FIGS. 5, 6 and 7 are respectively views in section on planes V-V, VI-VI and VII-VII in FIG. 4.

As depicted in FIG. 7 the bottom 9 of the garbage bag 1 has no bottom weld.

In fact the first plastic film portion 2 and the second plastic film portion 3 are portions of the same plastic film, that plastic film being folded on itself along a fold line 90 in such a manner that the first plastic film portion 2 and the second plastic film portion 3 are on respective opposite sides of the fold line 90, the fold line 90 then constituting the bottom 9 of the garbage bag 1.

Another example of a garbage bag 1 with a detachable tie according to the invention is represented in FIGS. 8 to 10. Compared to the garbage bag 1 with a detachable tie represented in FIGS. 2 to 4 the garbage bag 1 with a detachable tie represented in FIGS. 8 to 10 has a mouth 8 including a hem 20 on each of the first plastic film portion 2 and the second plastic film portion 3.

The garbage bag 1 with a detachable tie represented in FIGS. 8 to 10 therefore includes hems 20 at the level of its mouth 8.

The hems 20 are on the outside of the garbage bag 1. One of the hems 20 is formed by folding on itself the first plastic film portion 2 and the other hem 20 is formed by folding on itself the second plastic film portion 3.

The hems 20 have a height h less than or equal to 5 cm, in particular a height between 2.5 cm and 4.5 cm, preferably between 2.7 cm and 4.3 cm, more preferably between 2.9 cm and 4.1 cm, even more preferably between 3.1 cm and 3.9 cm, in particular between 3.3 cm and 3.7 cm.

Each hem 20 is welded only along the two lateral weld lines 4, 5. Each hem is therefore not also welded along a line extending between the two lateral weld lines 4, 5, in contrast to the hems of garbage bags with a sliding tie.

As depicted in FIG. 10 the detachable tie 10 has a width l and a length L.

The width l of the detachable tie 10 is preferably between 7 mm and 9 mm, preferably between 7.2 mm and 8.8 mm, more preferably between 7.4 mm and 8.6 mm, even more preferably between 7.6 mm and 8.4 mm, in particular between 7.8 mm and 8.2 mm.

The length L of the detachable tie 10 is preferably equal to the width of the garbage bag, that is to say equal to the distance between the lateral edges 6, 7 of the garbage bag.

FIGS. 11, 12, 13 and 14 are respectively sections on planes XI-XI, XII-XII, XIII-XIII and XIV-XIV in FIG. 10.

As depicted in FIGS. 11 and 12 the hems 20 are welded along the two lateral weld lines 4, 5.

As depicted in FIG. 12 the detachable tie 10 is welded at each of its ends to the first plastic film portion 2 and to the second plastic film portion 3 at the level of two attachment zones 11, 15.

The attachment zone 11 is situated on a portion of the lateral weld line 5, that portion being situated at the height of the hem 20.

The attachment zone 15 is situated on a portion of the lateral weld line 4, that portion being situated at the height of the hem 20.

Thus the detachable tie 10 is welded along the two lateral weld lines 4, 5 at the level of the hems 20.

As depicted in FIG. 12 the detachable tie 10 extends between the first plastic film portion 2 and the second plastic film portion 3, that is to say is inside the garbage bag and between the two lateral weld lines 4,5.

As depicted in FIG. 14 the bottom 9 of the garbage bag 1 has no bottom weld.

As depicted in FIG. 14 the hems 20 are not welded along a line extending between the two lateral weld lines 4, 5, in contrast to the hems of garbage bags with a sliding tie.
