Description

FIELD

The disclosure relates to a portable bag, and more particularly to a cooler bag.

BACKGROUND

Referring to FIG. 1, a conventional cooler bag 1 is a portable bag for temporarily storing food or articles (not shown) that require refrigeration, and includes a bag body 11 defining an inner space therein, two carrying straps 12 (only one is visible in FIG. 1) spaced apart from each other and sewed onto two opposite sides of the bag body 11, and a top cover 14 connected to the bag body 11 and covering the inner space with a zipper 13 that removably connects the top cover 14 and the bag body 11. After the articles are placed into the bag body 11, the zipper 13 may be closed to secure the top cover 14 to the bag body 11 and cover the inner space. However, only the bag body 11 and the top cover 14 are made of a thermal insulating material, and the zipper 13 cannot provide thermal insulation and cannot seal the inner space. That is to say, although the zipper 13 is provided to secure the top cover 14 to the bag body 11, there are still gaps between the top cover 14 and the bag body 11, and the zipper 13 does not provide thermal insulation itself, thereby adversely affecting an overall thermal insulation of the conventional cooler bag 1.

SUMMARY

Therefore, an object of the disclosure is to provide a cooler bag that can alleviate at least one of the drawbacks of the prior art.

According to the disclosure, a cooler bag includes an outer housing, an inner case, a sealed lid, and a plurality of buckle units. The outer housing includes a housing body defining an inner space therein and being heat insulated, and two handles connected to the housing body. The housing body includes two housing side walls spaced apart from each other in a width direction, and two housing lateral walls connected to the two housing side walls and spaced apart from each other in a length direction perpendicular to the width direction. Each of the two handles is disposed on a respective one of the two housing side walls. The inner case includes a case body detachably disposed in the inner space, defining a storage space therein, and being heat insulated, and a carry strap connected to the case body. The case body includes two case side walls spaced apart from each other in the width direction, and two case lateral walls connected to the two case side walls and spaced apart from each other in the length direction. The sealed lid is disposed on the case body in a height direction perpendicular to the width direction and the length direction to cover the storage space. The plurality of buckle units are disposed on the sealed lid and the case body, and are spaced apart from each other in the length direction. Each of the plurality of buckle units includes a male buckle strap connected to one of the two case side walls, and a female buckle strap connected to another one of the two case side walls and detachably connected to the male buckle strap such that the male buckle strap cooperates with the female buckle strap to abut against the sealed lid and to prevent the sealed lid from moving relative to the case body in the height direction.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Before the disclosure is described in greater detail, it should be noted that where considered appropriate, reference numerals or terminal portions of reference numerals have been repeated among the figures to indicate corresponding or analogous elements, which may optionally have similar characteristics.

It should be noted herein that for clarity of description, spatially relative terms such as “top,” “bottom,” “upper,” “lower,” “on,” “above,” “over,” “downwardly,” “upwardly” and the like may be used throughout the disclosure while making reference to the features as illustrated in the drawings. The features may be oriented differently e.g., rotated 90 degrees or at other orientations and the spatially relative terms used herein may be interpreted accordingly.

Referring to FIGS. 2 to 4, a cooler bag of an embodiment according to the present disclosure includes an outer housing 2, an external bag 3 detachably mounted on the outer housing 2, an inner case 4 detachably disposed in the outer housing 2, a sealed lid 5 covering the inner case 4, a seal ring 6 clamped between the inner case 4 and the sealed lid 5, and two buckle units 7. The outer housing 2 includes a housing body 21 defining an inner space 211 therein and being heat insulated, and two handles 22 connected to the housing body 21. The housing body 21 includes two housing side walls 212 spaced apart from each other in a width direction (A), and two housing lateral walls 213 connected to the housing side walls 212 and spaced apart from each other in a length direction (B) perpendicular to the width direction (A). Each of the handles 22 is disposed on a respective one of the housing side walls 212, and has two connecting portions spaced apart from each other in the length direction (B) and connected to the respective one of the housing side walls 212. One of the housing side walls 212 is formed with four through holes 214 extending therethrough in the width direction (A). The external bag 3 includes a bag body 32 and four fasteners 31 connected to the bag body 32 and extending respectively into the through holes 214 to connect the bag body 32 to the one of the housing side walls 212 such that the bag body 32 is disposed at one side of the housing body 21 in the width direction (A). It should be noted that the numbers of the fasteners 31 and the through holes 214 may be modified in other embodiments and are not limited to this example. The fasteners 31 may be removed from the through holes 214 to detach the external bag 3 from the housing body 21 as required.

Further referring to FIG. 5, the inner case 4 includes a case body 41 detachably disposed in the inner space 211, defining a storage space 411 therein and being heat insulated, and a carry strap 42 connected to the case body 41. In this embodiment, each of the outer housing 2 and the inner case 4 is made of a heat insulating material. The case body 41 includes a case wall portion 412 surrounding the storage space 411, a case flange portion 413 connected to an upper rim of the case wall portion 412 and extending away from the storage space 44, and a case engaging portion 414 protruding from a junction of the case wall portion 412 and the case flange portion 413 into the storage space 411. The housing wall portion 412 includes two case side walls 415 spaced apart from each other in the width direction (A), and two case lateral walls 416 connected to the case side walls 415 and spaced apart from each other in the length direction (B). The carry strap 42 has two end portions respectively connected to the case lateral walls 416.

The sealed lid 5 is disposed on the case body 41 in a height direction (C) perpendicular to the length direction (B) and the width direction (A). Specifically, the sealed lid 5 includes a lid body 51 abutting against the case flange portion 413 and covering the storage space 411, and an engaging portion 52 extending downwardly from a bottom surface of the lid body 51 in the height direction (C) and engaging the case engaging portion 414. The lid body 51 is formed with an annular groove 511 indented from the bottom surface thereof. The seal ring 6 is embedded in the annular groove 511. The buckle units 7 are disposed on the sealed lid 5 and the case body 41 and are spaced apart from each other in the length direction (B). Each of the buckle units 7 includes a male buckle strap 71 connected to one of the case side walls 415, and a female buckle strap 72 connected to another one of the case side walls 415 and detachably connected to the male buckle strap 71 such that the male buckle strap 71 cooperates with the female buckle strap 72 to abut against the sealed lid 5 and to prevent the sealed lid 5 from moving relative to the case body 41 in the height direction (C). At this position, the lid body 51 abuts against the case flange portion 413, and the seal ring 6 is clamped between the lid body 51 and the case flange portion 413, and slightly deforms to fill a gap between the lid body 51 and the case flange portion 43 and the annular groove 511 to thereby seal the storage space 411. In this embodiment, the sealed lid 5 is made of a heat insulating material to provide heat insulation. In addition, sealing of the present disclosure may be further enhanced by engagement between the case engaging portion 414 and the engaging portion 52 so as to ensure heat insulation of the cooler bag of the embodiment.

When the inner case 4 is disposed in the outer housing 2, since the outer housing 2 and the inner case 4 are both heat insulated, heat insulation of the cooler bag may be further increased, so a relatively good cooling effect may be achieved. In a case where the storage space 411 is insufficient for accommodating articles to be carried by the cooler bag, the inner case 4 and the sealed lid 5 may be removed from the outer housing 2 so the articles may be disposed in the inner space 211 of the outer housing 2 and the storage space 411 of the inner case 4 while cooling is provided.

In summary, in the present disclosure, there is no zipper for connecting the sealed lid 5 and the inner case 4, so a relatively good heat insulation may be provided. In addition, by virtue of the outer housing 2 and the inner case 4 that are both made of the heat insulating material, the seal ring 6 that is disposed between the sealed lid 5 and the inner case 4, and the engagement between the engaging portion 52 and the case engaging portion 414, the storage space 411 is firmly sealed to increase the heat insulation of the embodiment and a better cooling effect may be achieved. Furthermore, in a case where the articles to be carried cannot fit in the storage space 411, the inner case 4 may be removed from the outer housing 2 such that the inner space 211 and the storage space 411 are both provided for accommodating the articles so the cooler bag of the embodiment is versatile to be used in various scenarios.
