Applier for fastener for single lumen access anastomosis
An applier for an anastomosis ring device. The applier has an elongate implement portion and a handle connected to the implement portion. The applier further includes a distal actuating member having catch means which, in a lock position, protrudes radially outward to engage a distal ring. The applier further includes a proximal actuating member adapted to engage a proximal ring, and an actuation mechanism to approximate the proximal and distal rings. The distal actuating member is rotatable about a longitudinal axis from its lock position to a release position thereby sliding along a deviating surface at the implement portion.

Using internet content as a means to establish live social networks by linking internet users to each other who are simultaneously engaged in the same and/or similar content
A system and method that uses internet content and/or content metadata as a means to establish social networks. Examples include linking internet users, searchers, viewers and/or listeners of the same and/or similar internet content to each other via a platform that enables any of the following in n-dimensional environments: social networking, communications, sharing, e-commerce, advertising, search, hosting and registry services, push and pull applications, anonymous communications, and rich presence.

Surgical suture anchors and deployment device
A suture anchor is provided which includes a hollow member having an outer surface defining an enclosure, the member having a longitudinal axis and a slot through a portion of the outer surface in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis, the slot providing an opening into the enclosure. The suture anchor further includes a one-way valve positioned within the enclosure at the slot to allow entry of a suture through the slot into the enclosure and to prevent the exit of the suture from the enclosure. A device is provided for deploying the suture anchor. The deployment device includes an elongate hollow member having a suture anchor release zone positioned at the distal end, a launch bar having at least a portion positioned in the release zone. The launch bar is movable within the release zone between a resting position and a launching position and is operatively connected to an actuation member positioned proximally to the elongate member. The hollow elongate member defines a housing for receiving a plurality of suture anchors in tandem.

Mitral valve system
Valve prostheses are disclosed that are adapted for secure and aligned placement relative to a heart annulus. The valve prostheses may be placed in a non-invasive manner, e.g., via transcatheter techniques. The valve prosthesis may include a resilient ring, a plurality of leaflet membranes mounted with respect to the resilient ring, and a plurality of positioning elements movably mounted with respect to the flexible ring. Each of the positioning elements defines respective proximal, intermediate, and distal tissue engaging regions cooperatively configured and dimensioned to simultaneously engage separate corresponding areas of the tissue of an anatomical structure, including respective first, second, and third elongate tissue-piercing elements. The proximal, distal, and intermediate tissue-engaging regions are cooperatively configured and dimensioned to simultaneously engage separate corresponding areas of the tissue of an anatomical structure so as to stabilize a position of the valve prosthesis with respect to the anatomical structure, including wherein for purposes of so simultaneously engaging the separate corresponding areas of tissue, at least one of the first, second, and third elongate tissue-piercing elements is pointed at least partially opposite the direction of blood flow, and at least another thereof is pointed at least partially along the direction of blood flow. The valve prosthesis may also include a skirt mounted with respect to the resilient ring for sealing a periphery of the valve prosthesis against a reverse flow of blood around the valve prosthesis.

Methods, systems, and devices for surgical visualization and device manipulation
A surgical device includes a console having a visual display and a manipulator arm, a robotic device having a camera and a connection component. The robotic device is configured to be positioned completely within a body cavity. The camera is configured to transmit visual images to the visual display. The connection component operably couples the console and the robotic device. The manipulator arm is positioned relative to the visual display so as to appear to be penetrating the visual display.

Cross-linkable iridium complexes and organic light-emitting devices using the same
Organic devices comprising an organic layer, wherein the organic layer is non-electroluminescent and comprises a cross-linked metal complex. The cross-linked metal complex may be formed by cross-linking a cross-linkable iridium complex, which comprises a set of ligands coordinated to a central iridium atom. One or more of the ligands have attached thereon, one or more polymerizable groups that are able to polymerize with other molecules to form intermolecular covalent bonds. In some cases, the organic layer may also comprise a dopant. Also provided are a method of making an organic light-emitting device, an iridium complex, and an organic-light emitting device using certain iridium complexes.

Multiple wavelength sensor interconnect
A sensor interconnect assembly has a circuit substrate. An emitter portion of the substrate is adapted to mount emitters. A detector portion of the substrate is adapted to mount a detector. A cable portion of the substrate is adapted to connect a sensor cable. A first group of conductors are disposed on the substrate electrically interconnecting the emitter portion and the cable portion. A second group of conductors are disposed on the substrate electrically interconnecting the detector portion and the cable portion. A decoupling portion of the substrate disposed proximate the cable portion substantially mechanically isolating the cable portion from both the emitter portion and the detector portion so that sensor cable stiffness is not translated to the emitters or the detector.

Perfusion trend indicator
A perfusion trend indicator inputs a plethysmograph waveform having pulses corresponding to pulsatile blood flow within a tissue site. Perfusion values are derived corresponding to the pulses. Time windows are defined corresponding to the perfusion values. Representative perfusion values are defined corresponding to the time windows. A perfusion trend is calculated according to differences between representative perfusion values of adjacent ones of the time windows.
