Managing runtime execution of applications on cloud computing systems

Instances of a same application execute on different respective hosts in a cloud computing environment. Instances of a monitor application are distributed to concurrently execute with each application instance on a host in the cloud environment, which provides user access to the application instances. The monitor application may be generated from a specification, which may define properties of the application/cloud to monitor and rules based on the properties. Each rule may have one or more conditions. Each monitor instance running on a host, monitors execution of the corresponding application instance on that host by obtaining from the host information regarding values of properties on the host per the application instance. Each monitor instance may evaluate the local host information or aggregate information collected from hosts running other instances of the monitor application, to repeatedly determine whether a rule condition has been violated. On violation, a user-specified handler is triggered.

System and method for determining proximity relative to a critical structure

A system for determining proximity of a surgical device relative to an anatomical structure includes at least one surgical device having a sensor assembly operably coupled to a processing unit. The sensor assembly is configured to transmit at least one electrical signal through the target anatomical structure to elicit a measurable response from the target anatomical structure. The processing unit is configured to calculate a signature property value of the target anatomical structure based on the measurable response and to determine proximity of the at least one surgical device relative to the target anatomical structure based on a comparison between the signature property value and at least one other signature property. An indicator is operably coupled to the processing unit and is configured to alert a user of the identified target anatomical structure based on the determined proximity.

Systems and methods for providing a single click access to enterprise, SAAS and cloud hosted application

The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems of providing a user-selectable list of disparately hosted applications. A device intermediary to a client and one or more servers may receive a user request to access a list of applications published to the user. The device may communicate to the client the list of published applications available to the user, the list comprising graphical icons corresponding to disparately hosted applications, at least one graphical icon corresponding to a third-party hosted application of the disparately hosted applications, the third party hosted application served by a remote third-party server. The device may receive a selection from the user of the at least one graphical icon. The device may communicate, from the remote third party server to the client of the user, execution of the third party hosted application responsive to the selection by the user.

Software center and highly configurable robotic systems for surgery and other uses

Telerobotic, telesurgical, and/or surgical robotic devices, systems, and methods employ surgical robotic linkages that may have more degrees of freedom than an associated surgical end effector n space. A processor can calculate a tool motion that includes pivoting of the tool about an aperture site. Linkages movable along a range of configurations for a given end effector position may be driven toward configurations which inhibit collisions. Refined robotic linkages and method for their use are also provided.
