RF generator system for surgical vessel sealing
Systems, methods, and apparatus for providing power to an electrosurgical instrument. In particular, a power supply is disclosed in which non-sinusoidal (e.g., pulsed) constant frequency voltage having a variable amplitude is passed to an LC circuit to produce a quasi-sinusoidal current in the LC circuit. The constant driving frequency can be one half the resonant frequency of the LC circuit allowing the LC circuit to operate as an impedance, and thus limit current spikes and arcing. The frequency and phasing of the driving voltage also enables the LC circuit to discharge energy back into a power provider of the power supply so that energy does not build up in the LC circuit. These features result in less severe current spikes and arcing, as well as reduced cutoff times.

Heart valve prosthesis and method
A heart valve prosthesis (100) comprises a housing component (110) and a valve component (130). The housing component (110) comprises a housing body (111) having a housing passage (112) extending therethrough. The housing body (111) is configured to be located in, or adjacent to and communicating with, a native valve orifice (16) of a heart (10) and to engage structure of the heart (10) to fix the housing body (111) in relation to the valve orifice (161). The housing component (111) is collapsible for delivery via catheter (2). The valve component (130) comprises a valve body (131) having a valve passage (132) extending therethrough. The valve body (131) is configured to be fixed within the housing passage (112) with the valve passage (132) extending along the housing passage (112). One or more flexible valve elements (131) is/are secured to the valve body and extend across the valve passage (132) for blocking blood flow in a first direction through the valve passage (132) whilst allowing blood flow in the opposing direction. The valve component (130) is collapsible for delivery via catheter (2) separate to the housing component (110). An associated method of replacing a failed or failing heart valve utilising the heart valve prosthesis (100) is also disclosed.

Surgical instrument with magnetic clamping force
A surgical instrument comprising an end effector, the end effector comprising first and second opposing jaw members, wherein at least one of the first and second jaw members are moveable such that the first and second jaw members are transitionable between open and closed positions. The first jaw member may comprise a permanent magnet. The second jaw member may also comprise a magnet (e.g., permanent or soft). The magnetic motive force between the magnets of the first and second jaw members may attract each other to thereby reduce the external force required to transition the first and second jaw members to the closed position. In addition, the magnets may be configured to repeal each other to thereby aid in opening the jaw members.

Audit Management System
A computer implemented method and system for managing an audit of one or more network layer devices is provided. An audit management system accessible by a user via a graphical user interface acquires network layer device information of the network layer devices and a configuration file comprising configuration file commands. The audit management system allows creation and/or selection of one or more audit policies for the network layer devices. The audit policies comprise one or more audit rules that define functioning of the network layer devices for one or more compliance policies. The audit management system executes the audit policies for performing the audit of the network layer devices by comparing the configuration file commands of the configuration file with the audit rules of the audit policies, and generates a report comprising information about security and compliance of the network layer devices with the compliance policies based on the audit.

Mitral bioprosthesis with low ventricular profile
A heart valve prosthesis configured for placement at a mitral valve in the heart is disclosed that includes a stent-like support structure for supporting a prosthetic mitral valve. The support structure is configured to have a low ventricular profile with only a short length thereof protruding into the left ventricle when deployed in vivo. The support structure includes an upstream section that is outwardly expandable to sit against the atrial wall so as to at least partially anchor the prosthesis therein and a downstream section to which the prosthetic mitral valve is coupled that extends between the left atria and ventricle through the native mitral valve. The low-ventricular profile of the prosthesis is achieved by shaping the support structure such that the downstream section extends within and overlaps with the upstream section at given regions around the circumference of the support structure in an expanded configuration.

System and method for providing user notifications
A method comprising storing information about a service plan, the service plan having a limit on usage of at least one of one or more network services, the service plan being associated with an end user device; detecting a device action that reflects or is associated with a past, current, or intended use by the end user device of the at least one of the one or more network services; identifying the device action as a trigger event; identifying notification request information based on the trigger event, the notification request information for use by the end user device in presenting, through a user interface of the end user device, a notification message comprising notification information, the notification information based on the notification request information; and transmitting the notification request information to the end user device in response to the trigger event.
