Access and tissue modification systems and methods

Described herein are methods and systems for precisely placing and/or manipulating devices within the body by first positioning a guidewire or pullwire. The device to be positioned within the body is coupled to the proximal end of the guidewire, and the device is pulled into the body by pulling on the distal end of the guidewire that extends from the body. The device may be bimanually manipulated by pulling the guidewire distally, and an attachment to a device that extends proximally, allowing control of both the proximal and the distal ends. In this manner devices (and particularly implants such as innerspinous distracters, stimulating leads, and disc slings) may be positioned and/or manipulated within the body. Guidewire exchange systems, devices and methods are also described. A guidewire may be exchanged between different surgical devices and may be releaseably or permanently coupled.

Systems and methods for secure application-based participation in an interrogation by mobile device

Methods are described for performing a timely authorization of digital credential data delivered from a mobile device that is without access to a local persistently stored permanent cryptographic key; through an interrogation with a point-of-sale that behaves according to the direction of a card specification; wherein the card specification expects the mobile device to create a cryptogram that is calculated, at least in part, using the permanent cryptographic key and, at least in part, from unpredictable data delivered from the point-of-sale to the mobile device during the interrogation.

Coherent presentation of multiple reality and interaction models

A method for navigating concurrently and from point-to-point through multiple reality models is described. The method includes: generating, at a processor, a first navigatable virtual view of a first location of interest, wherein the first location of interest is one of a first virtual location and a first non-virtual location; and concurrently with the generating the first navigatable virtual view of the first location of interest, generating, at the processor, a second navigatable virtual view corresponding to a current physical position of an object, such that real-time sight at the current physical position is enabled within the second navigatable virtual view.

Enhancing an object of interest in a see-through, mixed reality display device

Technology is disclosed for enhancing the experience of a user wearing a see-through, near eye mixed reality display device. Based on an arrangement of gaze detection elements on each display optical system for each eye of the display device, a respective gaze vector is determined and a current user focal region is determined based on the gaze vectors. Virtual objects are displayed at their respective focal regions in a user field of view for a natural sight view. Additionally, one or more objects of interest to a user may be identified. The identification may be based on a user intent to interact with the object. For example, the intent may be determined based on a gaze duration. Augmented content may be projected over or next to an object, real or virtual. Additionally, a real or virtual object intended for interaction may be zoomed in or out.

Double patterning etching process

A method of etching a substrate comprises forming on the substrate, a plurality of double patterning features composed of silicon oxide, silicon nitride, or silicon oxynitride. The substrate having the double patterning features is provided to a process zone. An etching gas comprising nitrogen tri-fluoride, ammonia and hydrogen is energized in a remote chamber. The energized etching gas is introduced into the process zone to etch the double patterning features to form a solid residue on the substrate. The solid residue is sublimated by heating the substrate to a temperature of at least about 100° C.
