A cloud computing system includes a physical resource pool that includes a number of information processing devices. Each information processing device includes a processor, a computer-readable medium, and a network interface. The system further includes a first cloud controller to manage a first cloud infrastructure, the first cloud infrastructure operating a first set of virtualized resources, the first set of virtualized resources having access to the physical resource pool through the first cloud controller. The system further includes a second cloud controller to manage a second cloud infrastructure, the second cloud infrastructure utilizing the first set of virtual resources to operate a second set of virtual resources, the second set of virtual resources being provided access to the physical resource pool through the second cloud controller and the first cloud controller.

Ear sensor

An ear sensor provides a sensor body having a base, legs extending from the base and an optical housing disposed at ends of the legs opposite the base. An optical assembly is disposed in the housing. The sensor body is flexed so as to position the housing over a concha site. The sensor body is unflexed so as to attach the housing to the concha site and position the optical assembly to illuminate the concha site. The optical assembly is configured to transmit optical radiation into concha site tissue and receive the optical radiation after attenuation by pulsatile blood flow within the tissue.

Expandable fusion device and method of installation thereof

The present invention provides an expandable fusion device capable of being installed inside an intervertebral disc space to maintain normal disc spacing and restore spinal stability, thereby facilitating an intervertebral fusion. In one embodiment, the fusion device includes a body portion, a first endplate, and a second endplate, the first and second endplates capable of being moved in a direction away from the body portion into an expanded configuration or capable of being moved towards the body portion into an unexpanded configuration. The fusion device is capable of being deployed and installed in both configurations.

A method may include selecting an avatar, initiating communication, capturing an image, detecting a face in the image, determining facial characteristics from the face, including eye movement and eyelid movement of a user indicative of direction of user gaze and blinking, respectively, converting the facial features to avatar parameters, and transmitting at least one of the avatar selection or avatar parameters.

A wafer exchange apparatus is provided that is compact with excellent accessibility. The wafer exchange apparatus of the present invention includes a first and a second hands (10), (20), a first lifting means (30), a casing (40), a horizontal moving means (50) and a second lifting means (60). The first and the second hands (10), (20) are formed in shapes segmented in the left and right direction with generally line symmetry, and support a wafer (100). The first lifting means (30) moves the second hand (20) upward and downward. The casing (40) has the first lifting means (30) built-in, and supports the first hand (10) at a constant position in height while supporting the second hand (20) movably upward and downward. The horizontal moving means (50) moves the casing (40) horizontally. The second lifting means (60) moves the casing (40) upward and downward.

Methods and apparatus for plasma-based deposition

High-deposition rate methods for forming transparent ashable hardmasks (AHMs) that have high plasma etch selectivity to underlying layers are provided. The methods involve placing a wafer on a powered electrode such as a powered pedestal for plasma-enhanced deposition. According to various embodiments, the deposition is run at low hydrocarbon precursor partial pressures and/or low process temperatures. Also provided are ceramic wafer pedestals with multiple electrode planes embedded with the pedestal are provided. According to various embodiments, the pedestals have multiple RF mesh electrode planes that are connected together such that all the electrode planes are at the same potential.

Method and hardware for cleaning UV chambers

A cleaning method for a UV chamber involves providing a first cleaning gas, a second cleaning gas, and a purge gas to one or more openings in the chamber. The first cleaning gas may be an oxygen containing gas, such as ozone, to remove carbon residues. The second cleaning gas may be a remote plasma of NF3 and O2 to remove silicon residues. The UV chamber may have two UV transparent showerheads, which together with a UV window in the chamber lid, define a gas volume proximate the UV window and a distribution volume below the gas volume. A purge gas may be flowed through the gas volume while one or more of the cleaning gases is flowed into the distribution volume to prevent the cleaning gases from impinging on the UV transparent window.

Methane conversion apparatus and process using a supersonic flow reactor

Apparatus and methods are provided for converting methane in a feed stream to acetylene. A hydrocarbon stream is introduced into a supersonic reactor and pyrolyzed to convert at least a portion of the methane to acetylene. The reactor effluent stream may be treated to convert acetylene to another hydrocarbon process.
