Reprocessing of a physiological sensor
Because reprocessing or refurbishing of physiological sensors reuses large portions of an existing sensor, the material costs for refurbishing sensors is significantly lower than the material costs for making an entirely new sensor. Typically, existing reprocessors replace only the adhesive portion of an adhesive physiological sensor and reuse the sensing components. However, re-using the sensing components can reduce the reliability of the refurbished sensor and/or reduce the number of sensors eligible for refurbishing due to out-of-specification sensor components. It is therefore desirable to provide a process for refurbishing physiological sensors that replaces the sensing components of the sensor. While sensing components are replaced, generally, sensor cable and/or patient monitor attachments are retained, resulting in cost savings over producing new sensors.

Method for forming insulation film using non-halide precursor having four or more silicons
A method of forming an insulation film on a semiconductor substrate by plasma enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD), includes: (i) adsorbing a non-excited non-halide precursor having four or more silicon atoms in its molecule onto a substrate placed in a reaction space; (ii) supplying an oxygen-free reactant to the reaction space without applying RF power so as to expose the precursor-adsorbed substrate to the reactant; and (iii) after step (ii), applying RF power to the reaction space while the oxygen-free reactant is supplied in the reaction space; and (iv) repeating steps (i) to (iii) as a cycle, thereby depositing an insulation film on the substrate.

In an embodiment, a method for fabricating an integrated circuit includes forming a sacrificial gate structure over a semiconductor substrate. A spacer is formed around the sacrificial gate structure and a dielectric material is deposited over the spacer and semiconductor substrate. The method includes selectively etching the spacer to form a trench between the sacrificial gate structure and the dielectric material. The trench is bounded by a trench surface upon which a replacement spacer material is deposited. The method merges an upper region of the replacement spacer material to enclose a void within the replacement spacer material.

There is described a system and method for automatically discriminating between different types of data with an image reader. In brief overview of one embodiment, the automatic discrimination feature of the present image reader allows a human operator to aim a hand held image reader at a target that can contain a dataform and actuate the image reader. An autodiscrimination module in the image reader in one embodiment analyzes image data representative of the target and determines a type of data represented in the image data.
