Staple cartridge comprising a releasable cover

A retainer for use with a fastener cartridge that is locked to the fastener cartridge until the fastener cartridge is inserted into a fastener cartridge channel of a surgical fastener. The retainer can include one or more deflectable tabs that engage the fastener cartridge. The one or more tabs can be displaced when the fastener cartridge is fully installed in the fastener cartridge channel such that the tabs disengage from the fastener cartridge, enabling a user to remove the retainer. In certain embodiments, tabs can extend from a body of the retainer and can engage exterior portions of a fastener cartridge. The tabs can be displaced outwardly by the fastener cartridge channel. In certain embodiments, tabs can extend from one or more movable portions that engage a slot in the fastener cartridge. The tabs can be displaced inwardly when the movable portions are deflected by the fastener cartridge channel.

A surgical instrument includes a surgical end effector having a receiving portion for removably receiving therein an interchangeable part. The receiving portion has a communication connection. A handle connected to the end effector actuates the end effector. The handle has a controller electrically connected to the communication connection for authenticating the interchangeable part when placed at the end effector. An interchangeable part is removably connected to the receiving portion and has an encryption device electrically removably connected to the communication connection when placed at the receiving portion. Non-planar gate all-around device and method of fabrication thereof

A non-planar gate all-around device and method of fabrication thereby are described. In one embodiment, the device includes a substrate having a top surface with a first lattice constant. Embedded epi source and drain regions are formed on the top surface of the substrate. The embedded epi source and drain regions have a second lattice constant that is different from the first lattice constant. Channel nanowires having a third lattice are formed between and are coupled to the embedded epi source and drain regions. In an embodiment, the second lattice constant and the third lattice constant are different from the first lattice constant. The channel nanowires include a bottom-most channel nanowire and a bottom gate isolation is formed on the top surface of the substrate under the bottom-most channel nanowire. A gate dielectric layer is formed on and all-around each channel nanowire. A gate electrode is formed on the gate dielectric layer and surrounding each channel nanowire.

An exemplary system may include a chamber configured to contain a semiconductor substrate in a processing region of the chamber. The system may include a first remote plasma unit fluidly coupled with a first access of the chamber and configured to deliver a first precursor into the chamber through the first access. The system may still further include a second remote plasma unit fluidly coupled with a second access of the chamber and configured to deliver a second precursor into the chamber through the second access. The first and second access may be fluidly coupled with a mixing region of the chamber that is separate from and fluidly coupled with the processing region of the chamber. The mixing region may be configured to allow the first and second precursors to interact with each other externally from the processing region of the chamber.
