Adapter direct drive with manual retraction, lockout and connection mechanisms
A surgical device adapter for coupling an end effector to a handle assembly is disclosed. The surgical device adapter includes: a housing; a drive mechanism disposed within the housing and couplable to the handle assembly and the end effector; and a drive coupling assembly coupled to the surgical device adapter and selectively couplable to the handle assembly, the drive coupling assembly including a retraction assembly selectively couplable to the drive mechanism such that rotation of the drive coupling assembly about a longitudinal axis defined by the surgical device adapter and relative to the housing actuates the drive mechanism.

ROTATABLE CONNECTOR FOR MEDICAL USE
A rotatable connector for medical use is provided, applicable to connecting infusion tubings or serving as part of infusion tubing, including a first tube, a second tube, a casing cover, and an elastic sealing member; the first tube having a coupling end, the coupling end having an outer wall disposed with a stopper; the second tube having a docking member; the casing cover having one end sheathing outside of stopper and the other end fixed to docking member; a housing space being formed by inner wall of casing cover and outer wall of coupling end; the elastic sealing member being disposed inside housing space, tightly adhered to outer wall of coupling end as well as diving housing space into two disconnected spaces. As such, when applied to infusion tubings, the first tube of the connector of the present invention can rotate to resolve a blockage and free of leakage.

Impact Tool
An impact tool includes a motor, a hammer, an anvil, and a control unit. The hammer is configured to be driven by the motor and be movable in an axial direction of the motor. The anvil is configured to be struck by the hammer. The control unit is configured to control a rotation of the motor. The impact tool further includes a restricting unit configured to restrict the movement of the hammer in the axial direction. The control unit is configured to select a driving mode of the motor between a first mode and a second mode. The control unit selects the first mode when a load of the motor is less than or equal to a prescribed value regardless of a restriction of the restricting unit, whereas the control unit selects the second mode when the load exceeds the prescribe value and the restricting unit restricts the movement of the hammer.

Stapler for forming multiple tissue plications
A stapling device for forming multiple tissue plications without needing to reload the device between plications is described. The device includes staple and anvil housings that move toward and away from a tissue-capture position. A cartridge holder in the staple housing supports a cartridge with multiple groups of offset staple slots, where the slots in each group are circularly arrayed about a cartridge center axis. A staple driver in the staple housing carries a plurality of arms for engaging and ejecting the staples in a first group of staples in the cartridge, when a tissue fold is captured between the cartridge assembly and anvil in the anvil housing. When the staple driver is retracted, after a tissue plication is formed, the cartridge assembly and tissue drive are indexed to eject the next-up group of staples.

Messaging system and method
A method of cross-platform messaging including receiving, by a messaging system, at least one initial message having a message format, an initial message layout and data indicative of at least one user associated with the at least one initial message, and before delivery to a destination communication device associated with the at least one user, converting, by the messaging system, an initial message into an adapted message, and facilitating, by the messaging system, delivery of the adapted message to the destination communication device. The adapted message is characterized by, at least, an adapted message layout, and the adapted message layout differs from the initial message layout in a characteristic associated with respective message layout such as number of media objects, a graphical image of a media object, a size of a placeholder related to a media object, and a location of a media object within a respective message layout.
